Mata
Martin Mata, infant son of Martin and Margarita Aguilar Martin, died July 24, 2012. He is survived by his parents, sister; Kenny Mata, paternal grandparents; Antonio and Rafael Mata, maternal grandparents; Angel and Cesaria Aguilar and numerous uncles, aunts and cousins.
Services for Martin Mata will be Friday, July 27, 2012 at 3pm at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Liberty. Burial will follow at the Immaculate Conception Catholic cemetery. Visitation will be Thursday, July 26 from 5pm – 8pm at the church.
Partain
Ronnie Lee Partain, age 63, of Raywood, passed away suddenly on July 24, 2012 at his residence.
Ronnie was born in Baytown, TX on June 12, 1949, son of Arvle and Frances Matlock Partain. He attended Liberty High School and graduated in 1967. Ronnie worked for U.S. Steel and retired with thirty years of service. Ronnie was a coach and umpire for the Liberty Little League and also served on the board. He was instrumental in building the first back stop for the Liberty Little League. He also loved to fish, hunt and watch cowboy movies, especially John Wayne.
Ronnie was preceded in death by his parents.
He leaves behind to cherish his memory, his wife of forty-three years, Evelyn Partain of Raywood, sons; Keenan Partain and wife Kellie of Liberty, William Ross Partain of Conroe, Brandon Partain and wife Angie of Austin, William Ronnie Partain of Raywood, daughter; Leah Nichole Partain Nash and husband John of Raywood, sister; Connie Jackson and husband Felix, grandchildren; Katie Partain Rose, Zackery Partain, Ashley Partain, Austin Tyler Partain, Courtney, Liliee, Layla and Logan Partain, great-grandchild Annabelle Grace Partain Garcia and numerous nieces and nephews.
A memorial service for Ronnie Lee Partain will be held on July 27, 2012 at Allison Funeral Service, 1101 North Travis, Liberty, TX at 3pm. Visitation will be held from 1pm to 3pm that same day.
Fondon
Henry Woodrow Fondon, age 67, died Tuesday July 24, 2012 at San Jacinto Methodist Hospital.
Henry was born in Levelland, Texas, July 23, 1945, the son of the late Henry Woodrow Fondon Sr. and Maude Simpson Fondon. Henry enjoyed fishing, BBQ and spending time with his family. He had a strong work ethic and enjoyed his work, as an operator, for Lyondell CITGO for thirty-four years. Henry served in the US Army, during the Vietnam War, Henry was a graduate of Liberty High School and attended Lee College.
He was preceded in death by his parents, a brother, Claudie Neal Blanchard and a sister, Nancy Carol Worthy.
He leaves behind, to cherish his memory, his wife of forty-three years, Renell Fondon of Liberty, daughter, Dena Renell Stewart and husband, Barry of Hardin, sisters, Faye McConnell of Liberty and Louise Miller of Liberty, brother, John Fondon and wife Debbie of Liberty, and two grandchildren, Jacob Henry Stewart and Barry Benjamin Stewart.
Visitation for Henry will be held Thursday July 26, 2012 from 5-8PM at Allison Funeral Service, 1101 N. Travis Liberty, Texas with funeral services to be held at the funeral home 10AM Friday July, 27, 2012 with burial to follow in Cooke Memorial cemetery.
Lacy
Loraine Ann Lacy age 76 died at Magnolia Place Nursing Home in Liberty July 24, 2012.
She was born in Battle Creek, Michigan November 22, 1935 the daughter of the late Richard Rial and Bernice Clark Rial. Loraine enjoyed playing cards, Yahtzee, and dominoes. She enjoyed her cats, and spending time with her family. She worked at Kroger’s for many years in the bakery.
She was preceded in death by her parents as well as two brothers Clarence and Willard Rial, and a son Richard Havenar.
She leaves behind to cherish her memory her husband Robert Lacy, sons Sam Havenar and wife Paula, John Havenar and wife Denise, Robert Havenar and wife Rhonda, daughters Kim Gowdey and husband Raymond and Vicky Havenar, sister Virginia Smith, brother Sam Rial and wife Sharon, nineteen grandchildren Jennifer, Stephanie, Jonathan, Jason, Zack, Steven, Justin, Joshua, Jillian, Kathy, Spencer, Jarrod, Hannah, and Maddie Havenar, Andrea Havenar Maddox, Kelly Dennis, Erica Cooke, Derick Gowdey, and Candace Taylor, nine great grandchildren Jake and Emily Dennis, Klayton Cooke, Dylon, Kyler, Shelby, and Dalton Taylor, and Taryn Evelyn Havenar, and a host of other relative and friends.
A graveside service will be held Thursday July 26, 2012 at 2PM in Norris cemetery. Allison Funeral Service, 1101 N. Travis have been entrusted with the arrangements.
Morse
Frances “Joyece” Brock Morse, 71, of Houston, died Sunday, July 22, 2012, at the Houston Hospice in Houston.
Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m., Thursday, July 26, 2012, at the Pace-Stancil Funeral Home Chapel with burial following at Magnolia Park cemetery in Dayton. Visitation will be held from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m., Wednesday, at the funeral home. Services are under the direction of Pace-Stancil Funeral Home in Dayton.
Joyece was born April 18, 1941 in Oyster Creek, to parents; Jasper Leonard and Frances Lucille Garrett Brock, a former resident of Dayton, and has resided in Houston for the past 40 years. She was a graduate of the Dayton High School class of 1959, member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints Pine Trail Ward, the Women’s Relief Society, and volunteered many ways for her church community. She also enjoyed church activities, flowers, crafts, and especially spending time with her family.
Mrs. Morse was preceded in death by her father: Jasper Leonard Brock, mother: Frances “Lucille” Garrett Brock, granddaughter: Angel Morse, and brother: Jasper L. Brock, Jr. She is survived by her husband of 53 years: Roy E. Morse of Houston, daughters: Angie Pierce and husband Paul of Crosby and Susan Hinton and husband Sam of Missouri City, sons: Edward Morse and wife Sherry of Houston, Tim Morse of Houston, and John Morse of Atascocita, grandchildren: Aaron, Melodie, Jared, Gavin, Adam, Audriana, Michael, Anthony, Jonathan, Lyncoya, Danielle, and Bobby, great-grandchildren: Megan, Morgan, Brodie, Amin, Aubrianna, Aidan, Brandon, Hagan, Leauna, Cris, Taylor, Barret, Graycee, and Shaylee, and numerous other relatives, and friends.
Rivera
Cynthia Bosley Rivera, 57 of Dayton died Saturday, July 14, 2012 at San Jacinto Methodist Hospital in Baytown.
She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother.
Cynthia is preceded in death by her parents and sister, Catherine Bosley. She is survived by her husband, Louis Rivera; daughters, Natalie Armentor and husband, Matthew, Ashley Debler and husband, Cody; sons, Louis Rivera IV and wife, Lisa and Samuel Rivera and wife, Laura; sister, Vicky Guillory; brothers, Ronnie Bosley and Brian Bosley; fifteen grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
Local services are under the direction of Sterling Funeral Home in Dayton. A private memorial service will be held at a later date.
Derrington
Cameron White Derrington, age 82, of Liberty, died July 23, 2012 with his loving family by his side.
Cameron was born October 11, 1929 in Houston, TX, son of George and Edna Davis Derrington. Cameron attended Liberty High School and worked for Texas Gulf Sulphur for thirty-five years before retiring. He was a member of the Masonic Lodge for fifty years and owned and operated Derrington’s Trailer Park in Liberty for twenty-two years.
Cameron was preceded in death by his parents, first wife; Marliene Montingh Derrington, daughters; Debra Gay Derrington and Carol Lynn Derrington, brother; George Derrington Jr, sister; Ina Fay Derrington Kinard Adrian. He leaves behind to cherish his memory, his wife of nineteen years Minnie Belle Betterton Childs Derrington of Liberty, one son; Ray Derrington and wife Deborah of Liberty and numerous nieces and nephews.
Services for Cameron White Derrington will be Thursday, July 26, 2012 at 10am at the First United Methodist Church in Liberty. Burial will follow at Fairlawn cemetery. Visitation will be Wednesday, July 26, 2012 at Allison Funeral Service, 1101 North Travis, Liberty, TX from 5pm to 8pm in the chapel.
Larke
Beatrice “Bea” Cessna Larke, 94, of Rockwall died peacefully on Thursday, July 19, 2012 in Rowlett, Texas.
She was born February 5, 1918 in Hardin, Texas to parents, Edwin T. and Adelia Green Cessna. Bea had been a lifelong resident of Hardin, Dayton and Liberty. She lived 51 years in Dayton before moving to Liberty to live with her sister. She had worked for Sabine Monuments before retiring and was a very active in the First Baptist Church of Dayton. While living in Liberty Mrs. Larke attended Heights Baptist Church. She lived her last years with her son Joe in Rockwall.
Services for Mrs. Larke will be 10:00 a.m., Tuesday, July 24, 2012 at Pace-Stancil Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Tim Gruver officiating. Interment will follow at Hardin Chapel cemetery. Visitation will be 5:00 to 8:00 p.m., Monday, July 23 at the funeral home.
Mrs. Larke is preceded in death by her parents, her husband Ed Larke, and her daughter Joanna Harrison. She is survived by her son: Joe Larke and wife Karol of Rockwall, her grandson: Johnny Harrison, granddaughter: Jo Beth Dunaway; great-grandson: Jason Harrison; and sister-in-law: Opal Cessna from Hardin; also many friends.
Chaumont
Adam Huey Chaumont, age 84 of Liberty, died in Beaumont, TX on July 18, 2012.
Huey was born on November 10, 1927 in Oberlin, La, son of Joseph and Beatrice Miller Chaumont. Huey attended Eunice High School in Eunice, LA and moved to Liberty in 1962 where he started Chaumont’s Shoe Store. He owned and operated Chaumont’s Shoe Store and the Gold Nugget for fifty-two years before retiring. Huey enjoyed gardening and traveling in their motor home.
Huey was preceded in death by his parents, son: David Chaumont, four sisters and five brothers. He leaves behind to cherish his memory, wife of sixty-four years; Bertha Chaumont, granddaughters; Kayla Chaumont of Liberty, Kristin Chaumont of Austin, and one sister; Agnes McGee of Louisiana.
Services for Adam Huey Chaumont will be Friday, July 20, 2012 at Allison Funeral Home, 1101 North Travis in Liberty at 2pm. Visitation will held that same day from 12:30pm to 2pm.
Burial will follow at Palms Memorial cemetery in Dayton, TX.
Jones
Eugene “Ike” Jones, 91, of Dayton, died Tuesday, July 17, 2012, at his residence.
Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m., Friday, July 20, 2012, at the First Baptist Church in Liberty with graveside services at 4:00 p.m., Friday, at the Rosemound cemetery in Waco. Visitation will be held from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m., Thursday, at the funeral home. Services are under the direction of Pace-Stancil Funeral Home in Dayton.
Ike was born April 10, 1921 in Ocee, to parents; Samuel W. and LaUna Giles Jones. He was a former resident of Liberty, and has resided in the Dayton area for the past 10 years. He was a graduate of the Midway High School, a retired loan officer for the Federal Land Bank of Houston, had participated with the Liberty Art League and the Gideons. He was a member and Deacon of the First Baptist Church of Liberty, where he enjoyed church activities. Ike especially loved his grandchildren and great-grandchildren and will be remembered as a loving and devoted husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather.
Mr. Jones was preceded in death by his parents, wife of 58 years: Harriet Jones, daughter: Linda Ann Neal, and 12 brothers and sisters. He is survived by his wife of 10 years: Virginia Stevens Jones of Dayton, daughters: Janet Elaine Lockhart of Johnson City and Karen Crawford and husband Eric of Liberty; son: David Jones and wife Debbie of Orange; sister: Gloria Donaldson of Ocee, 27 grandchildren, numerous great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.
In lieu of usual floral remembrances the family request that donations be made to the Shiloh Ministries at P.O. Box 10226, Liberty, Texas 77575; in Ike’s name.
Rawlinson
Mary Nell Rawlinson 83 of Moss Hill, died Tuesday July 17, 2012 at Silvers Springs Center in Houston.
A service of remembrance will be held Saturday July 21, 2012 at 11:00A.M. At Faith & Family Funeral Services Chapel 40847 Hwy 105 E. Batson, Texas. With Reverend Grover Heard officiating. Interment will follow at Moss Hill, cemetery in Moss Hill. The family will be receiving friends also on Saturday July 21, 2012 from 10:00A.M until time of service.
Mary was born on January 3, 1929 in Moss Hill, to Todd Walters Sloan and Irene Doucette. She had lived in the Moss Hill, Hardin, and surrounding Liberty County area’s for many years and was an homemaker and a member of the Moss Hill United Pentecostal Church.
She was preceded in death by her husband JB” Junior” Rawlinson.
Survivors are son; Timothy Wayne Rawlinson of MT. Belvieu, daughter Diane Beaubouef and husband Rayburn of Houston. Grandchildren Laura Michelle Williams and husband Brian of Alvin. Michael Todd Rawlinson and wife April of MT. Belvieu.

Louella Hobbs, age 100 of Batson, went to be with the Lord with her loving family by her side.
Louella was born in Sour Lake, TX on November 15, 1911, daughter of John and Sallie Walker Bell. She attended Sour Lake High School and was a beautician for twenty year before retiring. She loved to cook, read books and read the bible.
Louella Hobbs was preceded in death by her parents, husband; Charles Leroy Hobbs, grandsons; Donald McCraw, Christopher Cook, brothers; Eugene Bell, Roy Bell, and William Bell, sisters; Mae Beckham, Myrtle Bell and Edith Kuteman. She leaves behind to cherish her memory, son; Raymond Hobbs and wife Dorothy of Batson, daughter; Charlene Hunter and husband Don of Batson, granddaughters; Cheryl McCraw of Batson, Rachel Bordes and husband Ronald of Batson, Sheila Chesson and husband Bobby of Batson, Deborah Steele and husband Van of Batson, Charlotte May and husband Dale of Batson, grandsons; Terry Cook and wife Peggy of Hardin, Ricky Cook and wife Frances of Batson, Jimmy Hunter and wife Jannel of Batson, Donnis Hunter and wife Shawna of Groves, 25 great-grandchildren and 16 great-great-grandchildren.

Guin
Joyce Evelyn Lowe Guin, 79, of Dayton died Monday, July 16, 2012 at home.
She was born March 6, 1933 in Nacogdoches, Texas to Eldon D. and Annie Lorine Parish Lowe. Mrs. Guin graduated from Robert E. Lee High School in 1951 and had lived in Channelview before moving to Dayton 46 years ago. She was a member of the Baptist Church, enjoyed doing puzzles and crocheting.
Services for Mrs. Guin will be 10:00 a.m., Wednesday, July 18, 2012 at Pace-Stancil Funeral Home Chapel in Dayton with interment to follow at Palms Memorial Park cemetery. Visitation will be 5:00 to 8:00 p.m., Tuesday evening at Pace-Stancil Funeral Home.
Mrs. Guin was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Joseph Walter Guin and sister, Zelma Segrest. She is survived by her sisters, Christine Hoffpauir of Dayton, and Velda Jannise of Harper, also other relatives and friends.
