Selman
Donald Duncan Selman, Sr. (Captain Don) 82, of Anahuac, Texas, died Thursday, November 21, 2013 at St. Elizabeth Hospital in Beaumont, Texas with his family by his side.
Don passed down a legacy of fishing, hunting, and hard work to his children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. He loved to dance, eat crawfish, and all seafood, but above all he loved his wife and family.
Don was born April 16, 1931 to Goldie Lois & Benjamin Selman in Amarillo, Texas. He attended Tivy High School in Kerrville, TX, where he played football and was named All Iron Man in the state playoffs. Don was also a Golden Glove Boxer. He retired from PetroTex Chemical Plant after 29 years of service during which he received his instrumentation and electronics license. After retirement he became a Licensed Captain and created a fishing guide business known as Texas Speck Poppers. Other achievements in his life included a pipe fitters license, building a river cabin and refurbishing a bay cabin in which his family came to enjoy for many years. Don was also a Master Mason in the Channelview - C.A. Fortner No. 1304 post for 50+ years.
Don is preceded in death by his parents, and stepfather; William Tomlinson as well as aunts and uncles.
Don is survived by his wife of soon to be 62 years, Muriell Jeannette Selman, daughters; Jeannette Selman, Sandra Selman Fruge, and husband Gary, son; Donald D. Selman, Jr., and wife Sandra Ann, granchildren; Jay, Don III, Gary Jr., Kristal, Dena, Darbi, Will, Great Grandchildren; Marshall, Michael, Hunter, Garrett, Brianna, Asa, Amelia, and many other family and friends.
A memorial service will be on December 14, 2013 at 1:00 P.M. in the Chapel of Sterling Funeral Home in Anahuac, Texas.

Wiser
John Allen "Johnnie" Wiser 84 of Daisetta, Texas died on Tuesday December 10, 2013 at Baptist Hospital of Beaumont, TX.
A graveside service with military honors will be held on Thursday December 12, 2013 at 1:00 PM at Hardin Chapel cemetery in Hardin, TX with Reverend Lesley Gains officiating.
A native of Texarkana, TX, he had lived in DeKalb, TX, for many years before moving to Daisetta, TX, where he lived for twenty years and was a Maintenance Engineer for McDermott, Incorporated of Houston, TX, and was also a U.S. Army veteran. He was preceded in death by his parents, John Gerald Wiser and Oretha Crow Wiser. A son; Howard Wiser, grandson; Johnny Miller. He is survived by his wife Mary Alice Wiser of Daisetta, TX, daughters; Edith Montgomery and husband Ted of Caspill, MT, Connie Chesney and husband Butch of Winfield, LA, Susan Dunham and husband Bill of Morenci, AZ, and Debra Kale of Liberty. Grandchildren are Bill Cisco, Scooter Webb, David Nugent, Shawn Monts, Christopher Monts, Tony Kale, Danny Monts, Todd Kale, Phyllis and Jerry Miller, Captain Crystal Pierce, Susie Cisco and numerous great grandchildren, and great-great grandchildren.

Caudle
Jack Bruno Caudle, 85, of Hardin died Sunday, November 24, 2013 in Winnie.
He was born September 25, 1928 in Lafayette, Louisiana to parents Jack and Yvonne Prejean Caudle and had lived in Hardin for the past six years. Mr. Caudle was a retired merchant mariner and was a member of the Grace Primitive Baptist Church.
Memorial service for Mr. Caudle will be 2:00 p.m., Saturday, December 14, 2013 at Pace-Stancil Funeral Home Chapel in Dayton.
Mr. Caudle was preceded in death by his parents, his wife Juanita Caudle, son David Caudle, grandson Kelly A. Caudle, and his beloved pet Ezzie Caudle. He is survived by his sons: Rick Caudle of Mont Belvieu, and Kramer Caudle of Moss Bluff; his daughter Debbie Robinson and husband Tommy of Hardin; daughter-in-law: Jennifer Lancto of Galveston; grandchildren: Allison Caudle, Dylan Caudle, Drew Caudle, Dewey Townson, Thomas Robinson, Mandy Cook, Michael Robinson, Melanie Pearson, Kevin Caudle, and Jack Caudle; ten great-grandchildren; brother: K.D. Caudle and sister: Blanche Wilkerson; niece: Beverly Bedynek; also numerous other nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Blanchard
Jamie Lynn Blanchard, 54, of Liberty, died December 8, 2013. She loved the outdoors. She enjoyed fishing and playing dominoes. She was a loving mother and grandmother.
She is preceded in death by parents, T.J. and Betty Landry; brothers, Steve Gamble and Ronnie Gamble.
She is survived by her son, Jerry Crowder and wife Tabatha of Saratoga; grandchildren, Makenzie Crowder, Makayla Crowder, Caleb Crowder, Landen Crowder and Lyla Crowder; sisters, Janis Camp of Saratoga, Donna Atkinson of Batson and Phyllis Attaway and husband Gene of Batson; numerous nieces and nephews and her dear friend, Larry Barnhart.
Her family will receive friends at Calvary Tabernacle of Batson on Tuesday December 10, 2013 from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. A service of remembrance is scheduled for 10:00 a.m. Wednesday December 10, 2013 at Calvary Tabernacle of Batson, officiated by Reverend Tolbert Hudspeth. Interment will follow at Guedry cemetery in Batson.
Her nephews will serve as pallbearers.

Sanford
Edith M. Collins Sanford, 81, of Columbus, died Saturday, December 7, 2013, at her residence.
Graveside services will be held at 2:00 p.m., Wednesday, December 11, 2013, at the Magnolia Park cemetery with burial following thereafter. Visitation will be held from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m., Tuesday, at the funeral home. Services are under the direction of Pace-Stancil Funeral Home in Daytion.
Edith was born March 12, 1932 in Livingston, to parents; Thomas E. and Ebbie H. Collins, a former resident of Dayton, and has resided in Columbus for the past 10 years. She was a homemaker, had attended the Church of God in Columbus and Grace Community Church in Dayton, and enjoyed painting, shopping, and antiques.
Mrs. Sanford was preceded in death by her parents, father of her children: Pat Neff Willis, husband: Mervin Sanford, sister: Wilma Pursch, and brother: Dick Collins. She is survived by her son: Robert Willis and wife Debbie of Dayton, daughter: Nita Lind and husband Kraig of Columbus, brother: Donald Collins of Hull, grandchildren: James Burge, Loyd Bouton, Candace Paterson and husband George, Robert W. Willis and wife Lindsay, Kraig Lind, II, and Kime Doerk and husband Brian, great-grandchildren: Jacob Paterson, Sophia Willis, and Trett L. Willis, and numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.

Moore
Jeff Hillory Moore, 48, of Dayton died Thursday, December 5, 2013 in Houston after an extended illness.
Jeff was born December 23, 1964 in Baytown, Texas to parents Jess Sanford Moore and Bertha Marie Cotton Moore. He was a lifelong resident of Dayton and graduated from Dayton High School in 1984 and attended Lee College. Jeff had worked as an operator for G.E. Aero Energy in Houston, enjoyed hunting, fishing, cooking and the Texans football.
Service for Jeff will be 10:00 a.m., Wednesday, December 11, 2013 at Pace-Stancil Funeral Home Chapel with interment to follow at Memory Gardens in Baytown. Visitation will be 5:00 to 8:00 p.m., Tuesday evening at the funeral home.
Jeff was preceded in death by his father: Jess S. Moore and his step-father: Joe McShan. He is survived by his daughter: Nicole Pantalion and husband Cody of Dayton; his mother: Bertha M. J.P. "John Patrick" Reed Lupher, was cherished and loved every day for the short time we were blessed to have him. J.P. will be cradled in the loving and protecting hands of the Lord with his relatives that have preceded him in death and will always be our "Just Precious".

Funeral services for Bro. Joe Carriere, 71, of Hudson will be held Sunday, December 8, 2013at 1:00 p.m. at the Southside Baptist Church with Pastor Jeff Robinson officiating.
Visitation will be held from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m. Saturday evening at Carroway Funeral Home.

Bro. Carriere was born January 1, 1942 in Liberty, Texas, and died Thursday, December 5, 2013 in a local hospital. Bro. Carriere earned a Masters of Religious Education from Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary. He was a rice farmer for many years in the Dayton and LaBelle area, and was the former pastor of Smith Point Baptist Church. He retired from Pollok Baptist Church, where he was pastor from 1989-2005. Bro. Carriere was currently a member of Southside Baptist Church.
Survivors include his wife, Linda Carriere of Hudson; daughter and son-in-law, Danielle and Daniel Johnson and granddaughters, Claire and Emery Johnson, all of Nacogdoches; son and daughter-in-law, Josh and Shanna Carriere, grandson, Brandon Carriere and granddaughter, Kaylin Carriere, all of Hudson; mother, Judy (Conner) Carriere of Fannett; sister and brother-in-law, Donna and Tommy White of Fannett; mother-in-law, Alice Quick of Hudson; sister-in-law and brother-in-law, Marilyn and Joe Richardson of Nacogdoches; brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Ken and Barbara Oma of Franklin, Tennessee; nieces, Carin Miller, Ginger Roy, Julie Aasmyr, Laura Oma and Alissa Oma; nephews, J.T. Richardson and Zach Oma; and numerous other relatives. He was preceded in death by his father, Joseph Crawford Carriere; and father-in-law, Clarence Quick.

Theresa Declouet Bell, 83, of Raywood, Texas, died Tuesday, December 3, 2013, in Houston, Texas with her family by her side.
Theresa was born October, 8, 1930, to Paul and Myrtle Declouet in Mallet, Louisiana. She was a loving daughter, wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend.
Theresa focused her life on fulfilling her role as a wife and mother. She was a Queen, carrying herself with great dignity. She was very independent and Victorian in her ways. She enjoyed gardening, loved tea roses, a fantastic cook, avid quilter, loved to shop, enjoyed writing, and a historian. She loved sending handwritten, blessed nugget messages to her children and grandchildren. She greatly valued education and had a strong work ethic. She was a Pioneer type, but loved to dress and put her makeup on, and always had her little black purse. She was a giver, always finding things to give people. She kept and managed a beautiful estate single handedly, and had keen business skills. Her greatest legacy she left her children was their relationship with Jesus.
Theresa is preceded in death by her parents; husband Lester Bell, granddaughter; Stephanie Deajon, and many other loved ones.
Theresa is survived by her children; Lester H. Bell, Jr., Beverly Palmer and husband Ralph, Rose Birdow, Wanda Fontenot and husband Lawrence, Bonita Curette and husband Willie, Doris Lang, Kenneth L. Stephen Scott Campbell, 29, of Clay, AL, died Saturday, November 30, 2013, in Alabama.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m., Saturday, December 7, 2013, at the Pace-Stancil Funeral Home Chapel with burial following at Forest Lawn Memorial Park in Beaumont. Stephen was born February 9, 1984 in Birmingham, AL, to parents; Kevin Scott Campbell and Cheryl Lynn Jones, and was a former resident of Dayton. He was a graduate of the Dayton High School class of 2002, attended the University of Alabama at Birmingham, a former mascot for the Dayton Volunteer Fire Department, and was employed by Blue Canoe in building maintenance. He also enjoyed fishing, hunting, motorcycles, and building and racing cars.
Mr. Campbell was preceded in death by his grandparents: Kyle E. Jones, Carolyn Morrow Stubblefield, and Mary Locke. He is survived by his mother: Cheryl L. Stubblefield and husband Eric of Dayton, father: Kevin Scott Campbell and wife Janna of Clay, AL, son: Elijah Scott Campbell of Clay, AL, sisters: April Watson Alford and husband Doug of Liberty, Deanna Campbell Yarbrough of Birmingham, AL, and Casey Rowe of Birmingham, AL, brother: Christian Eugene Stubblefield and wife Angelica of Dayton, grandmother: A. Nick C. Campise, 83, of Dayton, died Wednesday, December 4, 2013, at his residence.
Graveside services will be held at 11:00 a.m., Monday, December 9, 2013, at the Mount Calvary Catholic cemetery in Bryan with burial following thereafter. Nick was born April 27, 1930 in Caldwell, to parents; Charlie and Mary Urso Campise, a former resident of Houston, and has resided in Dayton for the past 25 years. He was a retired warehouse foreman for Gulf Coast Fasteners and member of the St. Joseph Catholic Church in Bryan. He also enjoyed fishing, gardening, and raising animals.
Mr. Campise was preceded in death by his father: Charlie Campise, mother: Mary Urso Campise, sisters: Grace Palomo and Lula Jebbia, and brothers: Joe, Vincent, Phillip, Norman, Sam, Tony, and Paul Campise. He is survived by his sister: Frances Cuevas of Houston and numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.
Sumrall
Catherine Sumrall, 84, of Votaw, died Thursday December 5, 2013.
She was a member of the Votaw Worship Center. She was an avid gardener and she enjoyed canning her vegetables. She enjoyed fishing and camping. She loved cooking and helping out and serving at her church.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Robert Randolph Sumrall, Sr.; parents, Bonie and Mamie Roberts and grandson, James Randall Johnson.
She is survived by her children, Barbara Johnson and husband Wayne of Votaw, Randy Sumrall and wife Candy of Killeen; grandchildren, Pamela Johnson of Seabrook, Brian Sumrall and wife Rana of Batson; great grandson, Evan Harper of Seabrook and sister, Mary McDanel of Romayor.
