McCarty
June Walker McCarty, 70, born June 13, 1943 in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania to David and Sara Walker, died peacefully on Sunday, March 2. 2014.
She is survived by her husband of 51 years, Dennis McCarty Sr.; her eight children, eldest daughter June McCarty and husband Shannon; son Dennis McCarty Jr. and wife Heather; son Shawn McCarty and wife Miranda; daughter Shannon Durbin and husband Shawn; son Patrick McCarty and wife Kim; son Christopher McCarty Sr. and wife Lana; son Kevin McCarty; son Josh Gee. She is also survived by her 16 grandchildren, 1 great-grandchild, and was considered a second mother by many.
She found joy in music and dancing, and especially enjoyed the jitterbug. After moving from Philadelphia to Channelview, Texas in 1983, June spent her time as a loving housewife and mother. Always the talker, June had the unique ability to sit and talk to anyone and could keep anyone entertained for hours. She also loved spending time with all of her grandchildren whether it be singing silly songs or teaching them "I love you" sign language. June will be missed dearly by not only her family but by all who knew and loved her.
A Celebration of Life for June will be held on Thursday, March 6, 2014 at 2:00 P.M. in the Chapel of Sterling Funeral Home, 602 N. Main St. Dayton, Texas.

Lawrence “Darrell” Luke, 69, of Dayton, died Sunday, March 2, 2014, at his residence.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00p.m., Wednesday, March 5, 2014, at the Pace-Stancil Funeral Home Chapel with burial following at the Magnolia Park cemetery in Dayton. Visitation will be held from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m., Tuesday, at the funeral home. Services are under the direction of Pace-Stancil Funeral Home in Dayton.
Darrell was born June 21, 1944 in Beaumont, to parents; Lawrence J. Luke and Marvaline H. Watson, a former resident of Channelview, and has resided in Dayton for the past 18 years. He was a graduate of the Beaumont High School class of 1963, attended the Lamar University, and was a truck driver for Jetco Transportation of Houston. He was a member of the National Parks and Wildlife, the National Hunters Association, the N.R.A., and was a HAM radio operator. Darrell also enjoyed camping, hunting, wood working, playing golf, and mowing his lawn.
Mr. Luke was preceded in death by his father: Lawrence J. Luke and mother: Marvaline H. Watson LaRocca. He is survived by his wife of 44 years: Betty Juneau Luke of Dayton, daughter: Kimberly Luke Shealy and husband Alan of Dayton, sons: Matthew M. Luke and wife Dena of Dayton, L. David Luke of California, and Chad A. Luke and wife Michelle of Dayton, sisters: Vivian, Diane, Linda, and Marian, brothers: Henry and Craig, grandchildren: Nikki Luke, Samantha Nunan, Amber Dowdy, Ronnie Jeane, Zachary Luke, Jordan Luke, Bailey Luke, Brint Luke, Jasmine Deams, Lane Luke, L. Gabe Luke, Torin Luke, and Alice Luke, great-grandchildren: Kaylee Patchett, Brooklyn Bishop, Alexis Maher, Kennedy Maher, Ely Nicholson, Brennan Nunan, Allysah Nunan, Parker Dowdy, and Ronnie Jeane, Jr., and numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.

Malcolm Ray Ragland age 70 died Saturday in Crosby with his beloved children by his side
Malcolm was born March 24, 1943 in Alexandria, LA the son of the late John J. Ragland and Lucielle Graves Ragland. A veteran of the Vietnam Era, Malcom served in the US Air Force from 1967-1971. Malcom was self-employed and worked in heating and air conditioning.
He leaves behind to cherish his memory his three daughters Tracee Fowler, Cheri Melcher, and Kellee Snow, a sister Linda Ragland and three grandchildren; Shelbee Allen, Sydnee Allen, and Emma Fowler

Eugenia Irene McArthur, age 85 of Liberty, died Saturday, March 1, 2014 in Liberty.
Eugenia was born November 27, 1928 in Mobile, Alabama, daughter of the late Morris and Ruby Rosson Gould. She attended high school in Alabama and then college. She was a security guard for several years. Eugenia loved attending the Liberty Opry where she enjoyed her music. She was a loving daughter, wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. She will be missed by all.
Eugenia was preceded in death by her parents, and husband; Daniel McArthur.

Madge Diane Lasco, 57, of Dayton, died Saturday, March 1, 2014 in Baytown, Texas.
A graveside service for Mrs. Lasco will be held at 10:00 a.m., Tuesday, March 4, 2014 at Ryan cemetery in Tarkington Prairie. Brother Jay Wash will officiate.
Honorary pallbearers will be: Paul Lasco, III., Allan J. Lasco, Nicholas Mason, William J. Mason, Brandon Weiten, Travis Percle and Michael Herrin.
Madge was born, March 15, 1956, in Aurora, Illinois, to parents Scott and Louise Larrison Blanchard. Madge was a supervisor at San Jacinto Methodist Hospital in Baytown. Mrs. Lasco loved spending time with her family. Madge loved baking for her family and friends. She was also an animal lover.
Mrs. Lasco was preceded in death by her parents: Scott Blanchard and Louise Weber; twin daughters: Michelle Rene and Tonia Louise Lasco and brother Jerry Dean Mason.
Madge is survived by her husband, Paul Lasco, Jr. of Dayton; daughter: Stacie Percle of Dayton; sons: Paul D. Lasco, III and Allan Joseph Lasco of Dayton; sisters: Kathie Weiten and husband, Terry of N. Evelyn Jeanette Heiman, 79, of Houston, Died Thursday, February 27, 2014 in a local hospital.
She was born September 22, 1934 in Taylorsville, Mississippi to John and Nola Byrd. Evelyn enjoyed gardening, listening to music and cooking.
She was preceded in death by her husband Harvey R. Heiman, parents John and Nola Byrd and her brother Johnny Byrd.
Evelyn is survived by her daughters Debbie Lonon, of Houston and Darlene Andrews and husband Jim, of Beaumont. She is also survived by her four grandsons and seven great grandchildren.
A visitation will be on Sunday, March 2, 2014 from 12:00 P.M. until 2:00 P.M. with funeral services starting at 2:00 P.M. in the Chapel of Sterling Funeral Home, 602 N. Main St., Dayton, Texas.

Donald Nevins Taylor, 81, of Hull, Texas died on Wednesday February 26, 2014 at Baptist Hospital of Southeast Texas-Beaumont.
A service of remembrance will be held on Sunday March 2, 2014 at 2:00 P.M. at Faith & Family Funeral Services Inc. with Reverend V.R. Hylton officiating. Donald was born on August 26, 1932 in Batson, TX, to Sevan Taylor and Clara Frazier and was a lifelong residence of the Batson and Hull communities where he was a Rancher.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his brothers; Rothel Taylor, J.W. Taylor and C.D. Frazier, his grandson; Jamie Clark.
Those left to survive him are his son; Larry Taylor and wife Cindy of Boerne, TX, daughters; Jeanette Taylor Walkup and husband Jerry of Kenefick, TX, Susan Webb and husband Robert of Batson, TX. Grandchildren are Katie Taylor, Brian Webb, Terri Gallander, Tonya Jeansonne, and David Smith. Great-grandchildren; Morgan, Brittany, Logan, Mallory, Emily, Eli, Cody, Casey, Colbi, Ty, Skylar, and Trevor.

Glenn Wayne Warner, 66, of Dayton died Wednesday, February 26, 2014 in Houston.
He was born December 8, 1947 in Harrodsburg, Kentucky to parents Glenn D. and Lavena Devine Warner and was a graduate of Columbus High School in Columbus, Indiana. Glenn had been a resident of Dayton for the past 20 years, previously living in Oklahoma. He had worked for URS Engineering in Houston as a project manager, was a member of the Acworth Masonic Lodge # 176, the Houston Arabia Shrine, Scottish Rite, and the Iron Workers Local of Dallas. He served as a Drill Sergeant in the US Army from 1967 to 1969. Glenn loved being with his grandchildren. He also enjoyed horses and hunting.
Services for Mr. Warner will be 2:00 p.m., Saturday, March 1, 2014 at Pace-Stancil Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Kim Percival officiating.

Len was born May 14, 1958 in Dayton to parents; Lenhart J. Sr. and Louise G. Zalesak Janik, and was a lifelong resident of Dayton. He was a graduate of the Dayton High School class of 1977, a mechanic for numerous chemical plants, and member of St. Anne Catholic Mission, the Honey Island Hunting Club, and the Hillbilly Deluxe Cooking Team. He also enjoyed fishing, hunting, gardening, and cook-offs.
Mr. Janik was preceded in death by his father: Lenhart J. Janik, Sr. and mother: Louise G. Zalesak Janik. He is survived by his wife of 35 years: Brenda K. Wanda was born December 1, 1942 in Houston, to parents; I. T., Sr. and Vera M. Brummett May, a former resident of Pasadena, and has resided in League City for the past six years. She was a graduate of the Dayton High School class of 1960, attended Baylor, San Marcus, and Sam Houston State University. She was employed as an executive assistant at Universal Truck and Trailer Sales and was a member of the Lake Houston United Methodist Church. Among her interests were her grandchildren, reading, sewing, and needlepoint.
Mrs. Rogers was preceded in death by her father: I. T. May, Sr. and brother-in-law: Milfred Lewis. She is survived by her daughters: Amber Hicks and husband David of Manvel and Leigh Anne Rogers and fiancé Ronald Simmons, son: Edward Rogers and Luray Kidd of Houston, mother: Vera M. Curtis A. “Curt” Fletcher, 62, of Hull, died Friday, February 21, 2014, at the M.D. Anderson Cancer Center in Houston.

Curt was born July 31, 1951 in Chamberlain, SD to parents; Laurel E. and Darlene M. Novotny Fletcher, and has resided in both the Hull area and Minnesota. He was a graduate of the Bennington High School class of 1969, attended Wayne State College, and operated Elkhorn Valley Honey. He also enjoyed spending time with his family, motorcycles, fishing, the beach, and helping others.
Mr. Fletcher was preceded in death by his mother: Darlene M. Novotny Fletcher. He is survived by his wife Cathy E.
