Myers
Carlyn “Bobbie” Fouts Myers, 88, of Ann Arbor, Michigan died Friday, November 14, 2014.
Bobbie was a lifelong resident of Dayton before moving recently to Michigan to be with her son and his family.
Service for Mrs. Myers will be 2:00 p.m., Saturday, November 22, 2014 at Pace-Stancil Funeral Home Chapel in Dayton. Interment will follow at Magnolia Park cemetery. The family will receive friends 5:00 to 8:00 p.m., Friday evening at the funeral home.
She was born February 25, 1926 in Dayton, Texas to her parents, Floyd Fouts and Wessie Dobbs Fouts. Bobbie graduated from Baylor University and later received her master’s degree from the University of Houston. She worked as business teacher at Dayton High School from 1957 to 1994. Mrs. Myers was inducted in the Dayton ISD “Wall of Fame” in 2000. She was known for her mark of excellence when it came to servitude. She had a sense of humor, educational integrity, and a pure love for her students. She gave of her time including summers, and holidays to better prepare her students. Bobbie was a Baylor Bear fan through and through, attending as many events in Waco as possible. She was a member of Pricilla Club and the First Baptist Church. Her gift from God was her ability to care for others. She will be truly missed by all her family and friends.
Mrs. Myers was preceded in death by her parents and her husband Perry Myers, Sr. She is survived by her son, Perry Myers and wife Susanne of Michigan; her two granddaughters, Larissa and Marina Myers of Michigan; sister, Doris Turner of Houston; ; nephew, Ken Turner; nieces, Shirley Bailey, Susan Pittman and Dee Ann Almeter; also numerous other family and friends.

Jesse James David, 68, died Saturday, November 15, 2014 in Ames, Texas.
Visitation will be Tuesday, November 18, 2014 from 1:00 pm to 6:00 pm at Wells

Celebration of life is Wednesday, November 19, 2014 at 10:00 am at St. John Baptist Church, 3709 North Main Street in Liberty, Texas with Pastor Edwin Hardy II officiating.
Interment will be Wells Memorial cemetery in Liberty, Texas.

Mendez
Abundio Mendez, 61, of Dayton, died Saturday, November 15, 2014 in Houston, Texas.
He was born July 11, 1953 in Fernandez San Luis, Mexico. He is preceded in death by his parents Jesus and Luc Mendez.
He is survived by his loving wife of 39 years Apolonia Mendez; son Jesus Mendez and wife Jessica; sister Julia Lino and husband Juan; brothers Julio Mendez and wife Yalando, Benito Mendez and wife Xista and Jose Mendez and wife Pola; grandchildren: Jesus Mendez, Jr., Jose Manuel, Anaie Mendez, Julian Mendez, Arely Mendez and numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and a host of friends.
A visitation with the family will be on Wednesday, November 19, 2014 from 5:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M. in the Chapel of Sterling Funeral Home, 602 N. Main St., in Dayton.
Funeral services will be on Thursday, November 20, 2014 at 10:00AM in the Chapel of Sterling Funeral Home with interment to follow in Palms Memorial Park.
Smart
Nathan Lee Smart age 57 died Sunday November 16, 2014.
Nathan was born June 20, 1957 in Liberty, the son of the late Elbert Ray Smart and Erma Jean Davis Smart. A graduate of Liberty High School, Nathan was an owner and operator of his own pipeline maintenance company. He enjoyed working on his ranch and tending to his cattle as well as time spent with his grandchildren. Nathan was also active in volunteering and helping out within the community.
He was preceded in death by his parents as well as a grandson, Calgary Faircloth.
He leaves behind to cherish his memory his four children; Rebecca Sackett of Liberty and husband Rick, Rachel Rives of Hardin and husband Lee, Frances Marks of Liberty and husband Alex; Nate Smart of Liberty and his girlfriend Darbie; sister Darlene Smart and a brother Michael Smart. In addition he leaves his grandchildren; Nikki Sackett, Jaci Sackett, Madison Finster, Mason Finster, Kaya Rives, Zoe Rives, Victoria Rives, Alyssa Marks, Kassidie Marks, Connor Marks, and Hallie Marks. In addition he leaves his great-grandson Bryce Hendricks.
Visitation for Nathan will be held Tuesday November 18, 2014 from 5-8 P.M. at Allison Funeral Service, 1101 N. Travis Liberty, Texas. Funeral Services will be held 10AM Wednesday, November 19, 2014 at Bethel Assembly of God Church, 4606 FM 563 Liberty, Texas with burial to follow in Fairlawn Memorial cemetery.
In lieu of flowers donations may be made in Nathan’s memory to Bethel Assembly of God Church.
Daniel
Danny M. Daniel, 57, of Dayton, died Sunday, November 16, 2014, at his residence.
Memorial services are pending for a later date. Services are under the direction of Pace-Stancil Funeral Home in Dayton.
Danny was born February 14, 1957 in Baytown, to parents; Delmos and Anita P. Bush Daniel, a former resident of Baytown and has resided in Dayton for the past two years. He was a graduate of Robert E. Lee High School, a self-employed construction worker, and volunteered for the Red Cross, Lions Club, and Elks Lodge. He also enjoyed activities at the river.
Mr. Daniel was preceded in death by his parents. He is survived by his wife: Denise “Dee” Steward of Dayton, daughter: Angie Daniel Schuman of Dayton, son: Luke Daniel and wife Justina of Oklahoma, stepdaughters: Kymber Wilder of Baytown and Jamie Mendez and husband Ivan of Fortney, stepsons: Craig Kilcrease of Baytown and Rodney Steward and wife Ashley of Dayton, brothers: Paul W. Daniel of Baytown, Robert G. Daniel of Baytown, and Jerry D. Daniel of Dayton, grandchildren: Katlyn Newton, McKade Harvey, Rodney Steward, Jr., Destany Steward, Nickolas Steward, and Lexi Steward, and numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.
Bishop
Ethan T. “Muffin Man” Bishop, infant son of Tommy G. Bishop and Karen A. Diehl, died Saturday, November 15, 2014.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m., Thursday, November 20, 2014, at the Pace-Stancil Funeral Home Chapel with burial following at Magnolia Park cemetery in Dayton. Visitation will be held from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m., Wednesday, at the funeral home. Services are under the direction of Pace-Stancil Funeral Home in Dayton.
Ethan was born September 24, 2014 in Kingwood, and has resided in Dayton. He was preceded in death by his great-grandfather: William Diehl. He is survived by his father: Tommy G. Bishop of Dayton, mother: Karen A. Hutchins
Rex L. “Papa Smurf” Hutchins, Sr., 73, of Kenefick, died Saturday, November 15, 2014, at the Memorial Hermann Hospital in Houston.
Memorial services will be held at 10:00 a.m., Saturday, November 22, 2014, at the Pace-Stancil Funeral Home Chapel in Dayton. Services are under the direction of Pace-Stancil Funeral Home in Dayton.
Rex was born October 15, 1941 in Minden, Louisiana, to parents; Johnny W. “J.W.” and Adelia E. Harrison Hutchins, a former resident of Channelview, and has resided in Kenefick for the past 39 years. He was a veteran of the US Air Force, member of the Simmons Bottom Assembly of God Church, and a retired boiler maker. He also enjoyed mud racing, collecting, tinkering, and will be remembered as a jack of all trades.
Mr. Hutchins was preceded in death by his parents and great-granddaughter: Aubrei Cook. He is survived by his wife of 54 years: JoAnn M. Juneau Hutchins of Kenefick, daughter: Sandy Chandler and husband Clint of Kenefick, sons: David Hutchins and wife Paige of Kenefick, Donny Hutchins and wife Elizabeth of Kenefick, Rex Hutchins, Jr. and wife Leslie of Kenefick, and Jimmy Hutchins and wife Anna of Kenefick, sister: Elise Hutchins of Louisiana, brothers: John A. Hutchins of Hex and Billy Hutchins of Montana, 11 grandchildren, numerous great-grandchildren with one on the way, one great great-grandchild, and numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.
Jagers
Victoria Jagers, 90, of Dayton, died Saturday, November 15, 2014.
She was born February 8, 1924 in Livingston, Texas. Mrs. Jagers enjoyed cooking, cleaning, sewing, reading and she also enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren and great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband Marshall Jagers, Sr., parents Joe and Ella Dempsey, daughters Peggy Ann Irle and Marsha Jewel Jagers, son Tommy Eugene Jagers and three sisters.
She is survived by children Marshall “Buddy” Jagers, Milton Jagers and wife Doris, Eunice Marie Mize, Annie Louise Saddler, Doylene Jagers, Debra Kay Dean and fiancé Tommy Mize, Patricia Lynn Jagers and David Lee Jagers and wife Bonnie; sixteen grandchildren, eleven great grandchildren and numerous nieces, nephews and a host of friends.
A visitation with the family will be on Tuesday, November 18, 2014 from 6:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M. inthe Chapel of Sterling Funeral Home, 602 N. Main St., Dayton, Texas.

Nolen R. Jones, 80, of Mt. Belvieu, died Friday, November 14, 2014, at the St. James House in Baytown.
Graveside services will be held at 2:00 p.m., Tuesday, November 18, 2014, at the Oakdale cemetery in Daisetta. Services are under the direction of Pace-Stancil Funeral Home in Dayton.
Nolen was born August 1, 1934 in Tyler, to parents; Nolen R., Sr. and Ethel M. Starnes Jones, and has resided in the Mt. Belvieu/Liberty area for the past 47 years. He was a graduate of Homer High School in Louisiana, a veteran of the US Navy with service during Korea aboard USS Saint Paul (CA-73), a life member of the Nolan D. Pickett VFW Post #5621, and a retired supervisor from Champion Paper Mill. He also enjoyed gardening, hunting, and fishing.
Mr. Jones was preceded in death by his parents, wife of 54 years: Wilma Taylor Jones, sons: Barry K. Jones and Kenneth Jones, and grandson: Casey Jones. He is survived by his daughter: Karen Wilkins of Mt. Belvieu, son: Kyle Jones and wife Gayle of Tennessee, daughter-in-law: Linda Jones of Old River, sister: Betty Johnson of Alabama, grandchildren: Travis Jones, Becki Wilkins, Jordan Jones, and Lauren Jones, great-grandson: Carter Cox, and numerous other relatives, and friends.

Shirley Ann Pinegar Mullenax, 77, of College Station, died Tuesday, November 11, 2014, at the St. Joseph Regional Medical Center in Bryan.
Memorial services will be held at 3:00 p.m., Sunday, November 16, 2014, at the Moss Hill Lighthouse Church, with services concluding thereafter. Local arrangements are under the direction of Pace-Stancil Funeral Home in Dayton.
Shirley was born May 19, 1937 in Helena, Arkansas, to parents; Elgin Burton and Louise Buchanan Pinegar, a former resident of Liberty, and has resided in College Station for the past two years. She was a homemaker, attended the Moss Hill Lighthouse Church, and enjoyed cooking.
Mrs. Mullenax was preceded in death by her parents, two brothers, and one sister. She is survived by her husband: Joe A. Mullenax, daughters: Theresa Allen Brewer, Jody Lynn Honeycutt, Tommy Gail, and Amber Lynn Mullenax, sons: Joe Anderson Mullenax, II and wife Terri, Keith Trent, and Terry Dwayne Trent, sisters: Claudette Callaway and Wanda Cook, brothers: Bobby Pinegar and Jerry Pinegar, and numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.

Benjamin Franklin Carter, Jr., 60 of Dayton, Texas, passed away quietly on Tuesday, November 11, 2014.
He is survived by his daughter, Emily Williams and family, his son, Benjamin Franklin Carter, III, and grandchildren, Blake Knighten, Jordan Ruth Ann Carter, and Benjamin Lane Carter.

Seymour
Gerald "Danny" Phillip Seymour, 69, of Cleveland, died Saturday, November 8, 2014, at the Liberty-Dayton Regional Medical Center in Liberty.
Memorial services were held Tuesday, November 11, 2014, at the New Rebecca Church in Cleveland, Texas with fellowship afterwards at the family home. Arrangements are under the direction of Pace-Stancil Funeral Home in Dayton.
Danny was born May 21, 1945 in Blakely, Pennsylvania, native of Galeton, Pennsylvania, and has resided in Cleveland for the past 33 years. He was a veteran of the US Navy, a carpenter by trade, former music director for Harmony Church, and a member of the New Rebecca Church. He also enjoyed playing gospel music on his guitar and wood working.
Mr. Seymour was preceded in death by his father: Gerald Phillip Seymour, mother: Pearl A. Delgrosso and husband George, and brothers: Arthur Seymour and Bruce Seymour. He is survived by his wife of 46 years: Jennifer Elliott Seymour of Cleveland, daughters: Lisa I. Howell and husband Timothy of Pasadena and April M. Dagle and husband Bull of Batson, son: Daniel Shane Seymour and Tami of Cleveland, brothers: Mark Delgrosso, Greg Delgrosso, Vince Delgrosso, and Jerry Seymour, sisters: Geraldine Smith, Beverly Cooper, Genevieve Fuller, and Marie Geeting, eight grandchildren: Johnathan, Dustin, Zakary, Russell, Adam, Amy, Matthew, and Tyler, one great-grandchild: Addlynn and numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.
