McManus
James “Big Jim” Allen McManus, Sr. 65, of Dayton, Texas, a loving father and grandfather, died Thursday, March 12, 2015.
He was born on August 27, 1949 in Liberty, Texas and was preceded in death by his parents Clyde and Maggie McManus.
James enjoyed fishing, going to casino’s, playing cards with friends & spending time with his grandkids. His hobbies at home were watching and cheering for his favorite sports teams; Dallas Cowboys, Houston Texans, Houston Astro’s and the Texas Longhorns.
He was a country boy at heart and he had a lot of love and pride for Texas and for his country. He loved helping people and donating to charities that helped children in need of food, clothes, clean water, school supplies and medicine. He was a beautiful soul. He will be greatly missed.
He is survived by daughter Tanya McManus and son, James McManus and his wife Andra McManus along with his beautiful grandkids, Connor McManus, Aric McManus and Erin McManus.
A visitation with the family will be on Wednesday, March 18, 2015 from 5:00 P.M. until 7:00 P.M. in the Chapel of Sterling Funeral Home, 602 N. Main St., in Dayton.
Funeral services will be conducted on Thursday, March 19, 2015 in the Chapel of Sterling Funeral Home, with Pastor Wayne Hardin officiating.
Interment will follow in Palms Memorial Park.

Wiggins
Jack Dempsey Wiggins age 83 of Liberty died Saturday March 14, 2015 at his home.
Dempsey was born in Liberty, January 16, 1932 the son of the late Ex Wiggins and Dean Parker Wiggins McMillen. Dempsey enjoyed gardening, wood working, and spending time with his family. At the age of seventeen A Korean war veteran, he enlisted in the US Navy where he served four years aboard the USS Boyer. Dempsey was a member of the Liberty Church of Christ. He was also a freemason and received the position special duty of the Grand Lodge of the State of Texas. He retired from Gulf State Utilities after thirty-seven years of service as a utility foreman.
He was preceded in death by his parents as well as his step father Lincoln McMillen, grandson Wade Wiggins, brother John Wiggins, and two step-brothers; Floyd McMillen and John Robert McMillen.
He leaves behind to cherish his memory, his wife of fifty-seven years Glenda Gale Reid Wiggins of Liberty, sons; Michael Wiggins and wife Tanya of Dallas, Jack Wiggins and wife Dana of Tyler, Mark Wiggins and wife Patricia of Huffman, daughter Leah Smith and husband Jim of Liberty, sisters; Barbara Belcher and Sonja Blanchard both of Liberty, brothers; George McMillen and wife Elouise of Colmesnell and Lewis McMillen of Raywood. In addition he leaves his grandchildren; Amanda Smith husband Jason, Jordan Lopez husband Donnie, Sean Smith wife Jessie, Joel Wiggins wife Melinda, Allison Smith, Jarrod Wiggins wife Stephanie, Savannah Wiggins, Caitlin Smith, and Madison Wiggins. He also leaves his ten great-grandchildren and a host of nieces and nephews.
He will be sadly missed by all who knew and loved him. A visitation will be held Monday March 16, 2015 from 5-8 P.M. at Allison Funeral Service, 1101 N. Travis Liberty, Texas. A funeral service will be held 2 P.M. Tuesday March 17, 2015 at Liberty Church of Christ with burial to follow in Cooke Memorial cemetery.
Vollert
Kenneth Bruce Vollert age 84 died Thursday March 12, 2015 at Liberty-Dayton Hospital.
Kenneth was born in Houston, Texas February 19, 1931 the son of the late August Charles Vollert and Alma Stoltz Vollert. He worked numerous years as a machinist, working for Layne Bowler for fifteen years. Kenneth enjoyed hunting, fishing, and cooking BBQ. A devoted family man; he was a true people person who never met a stranger.
Besides his parents, Kenneth was preceded in death by his son Bruce Wayne Vollert, brother August Charles Vollert, and a sister Florence McMillian.
He leaves behind to cherish his memory, his wife of sixty-five years Maxine Jennings Vollert, daughter Cathy King husband Butch of Dike, TX, son Larry Keith Vollert wife Diana of Liberty, son Michael Dean Vollert wife Janie of Evergreen, Texas, brother Charles Vollert wife LaVonne of Houston, and a sister Marjorie Cole of Gonzales, Texas. In addition Kenneth leaves thirteen grandchildren, twenty-seven great grandchildren, and a host of nieces and nephews. He will be sadly missed by all who knew and loved him.
Visitation for Kenneth will be held Sunday March 15, 2015 from 5-8 P.M. at Allison Funeral Service, 1101 N. Travis Liberty, Texas. A funeral service will be held 2 P.M. Monday March 16, 2015 at the funeral home with burial to follow in Hardin Chapel cemetery.
Arnold
Thomas (Tommy) Alvin Arnold, 75, of Dayton, died Wednesday, March 11, 2015.
He was born June 27, 1939 to Thomas Garland Arnold and Willie Faye Riley in Coleman Texas.
He was a 1958 graduate of Centennial High School in Coleman Texas. He was a veteran of the United States Army and a member of the American Legion. Tommy loved hunting and fishing, and spending time with family and friends. He was preceded in death by his mother Willie Faye, father Thomas Garland and step father David Rhodes.
Tommy is survived by his wife of 50 years Charlotte Louise Grisham Arnold; sister Linda Weathers; son Rebel Kline and wife Chris; daughter Rhonda Carr and husband Rick; grandchildren Stormy Calhoun and husband Kenny, Keith Kline and Frankie Kline; great grandchildren Paige Calhoun, Emma Calhoun and several nieces, nephews and cousins.
A visitation with the family will be on Sunday, March 15, 2015 from 12:00 P.M. until 2:00 P.M. in the Chapel of Sterling Funeral Home, 602 N. Main St., Dayton, memorial services will begin at 2:00 P.M..

Rawlinson
Virginia Rawlinson, 89, of Moss Hill, Texas, (Tanner Settlement) died on Sunday March, 8, 2015, at Golden Ventures Personal Care Home in Cleveland, Texas.
A service of remembrance will be held on Saturday March, 14, 2015 at 2:00 P.M. at Faith & Family Funeral Services Chapel, with Reverend Gideon Watson officiating. Interment will follow at Moss Hill cemetery in Moss Hill, Texas. There will be a gathering of family and friends also on Saturday from 12:00 P.M. until time of service at Faith & Family.
A native of Hardin, Texas she had lived in Hull, Texas, all of her life and was an homemaker. She was a member of the Mount Calvary Baptist Church of Moss Hill, Texas.
She was preceded in death by her husband, E.J. Rawlinson. Daughter, Linda Bardwell, sons, Larry Rawlinson and Ronald Rawlinson and three brothers, and one sister. Survivors are son -in-law, Bobby Bardwell of Hull, Texas, two grandsons, Steve Bardwell of Sealy, Texas, and John Bardwell of Hardin, Texas, and three great grandchildren, Bo, Lexie, and Jake. Serving as pallbearers are Melvin Doucette, Jim Beasley, Roland Dodd, Bobby Rawlinson, Jaki Rawlinson and Hulan Rawlinson.

Ernest LaVergne, Jr. 72, of Liberty, Texas, died at his home on March 4, 2015.

Jack Leigh Sivils, 30, of Humble, died Tuesday, March 10, 20125, at his residence.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m., Saturday, March 14, 2015, at the Pace-Stancil Funeral Home Chapel with services concluding thereafter. Visitation will be held from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m., Friday, at the funeral home. Services are under the direction of Pace-Stancil Funeral Home in Dayton.
Jack was born September 1, 1984 in Houston, to parents; Kelton and Judy Crow Sivils, a former resident of Dayton, and has resided in Humble for the past ten years. He was a graduate of the Dayton High School class of 2002 and employed by Burch Communications as a field technician. He also enjoyed camping, music, computers, and playing golf.
Mr. Sivils was preceded in death by his grandparents: Frank and Ollie Sivils and John and Rachel Crow. He is survived by his parents: Kelton and Judy Crow Sivils of Dayton, brother: Jay M. Hendrix of Dayton, nephew: Aeric Hendrix of Humble, and numerous aunts, uncles, other relatives, and a host of friends.

Baldemar Ruiz-Castillo, 54, of Dayton, died Tuesday, March 10, 2015, at his residence.
Visitation will be held from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m., Saturday, March 14, 2015, at the Pace-Stancil Funeral Home in Dayton.
Baldemar was born March 23, 1960 in Melchor Muzquiz Coahuila, to parents; Baldemar Ruiz and Felipa Castillo Guedea, and has resided in Dayton for the past nine years. He was an operator for US Steel, and catholic by faith. He also enjoyed music, movies, and walking his dog.
Mr. Ruiz was preceded in death by his parents. Barbara Ann Alewine Hein 68, of Grapeland, Texas, died on Monday March, 9, 2015 at East Texas Medical Center in Crockett, Texas.
There will be a graveside service held on Friday March, 13, 2015 at 10:30 A.M. at Guedry cemetery in Batson, Texas, with Reverend Bill Campbell officiating. A gathering of family and friends will also be on Friday from 9:00 A.M. until 10:00A.M. at Faith & Family Chapel.
A native of Liberty, Texas, she had lived in Grapeland, Texas, for three years. She was an homemaker and a former graduate of Hull - Daisetta High School.
Barbara was preceded in death by her parents, Joseph Sanford Laviolette and Julie Gennive Taylor, and her adoptive father, Leslie Arthur Hein.
Survivors are sons, Kevin Wayne Frauenberger and wife Pamela of Daisetta, Texas, Richard Wayne " Rick" Frauenberger II. and wife Teri of Grapeland, Texas, and stepson, Roland Alewine. Stepdaughters are Cheryl Hunter of Victoria, Texas, and Jodie Missildine of Elkhart, Texas, and brother, Darrell Joseph Laviolette Hein of Alvin, Texas. Grandchildren are Lisa Frauenberger, Shelby Frauenberger, and Richard Wayne Frauenberger III. all of Grapeland, Texas. Concetta Lee Buono Herring, 86, of Dayton, died Sunday, November 30, 2014, at the San Jacinto Methodist Hospital in Baytown.

Concetta was born August 19, 1928 in San Diego, California, to parents; Nick Buono and Nola Hittle Buono, a former resident of Houston, and has resided in Dayton for the past 68 years. She was a homemaker and enjoyed spending time with her family and friends.
Mrs. Herring was preceded in death by her father: Nick Buono, mother: Nola Hittle Tripp, husband: Henry H. “Pat” Herring, son: Milton W. “Billy” Herring, grandson: Michael Herring, son-in-law: Raymond Fregia, and sister: Beverly. Jeffrey Alan McCain, 30, of Liberty, died Monday, March 9, 2015, at the Ben Taub General Hospital in Houston.

Jeffrey was born October 2, 1984 in Irving, parents; Kelly D. and Susie E. Taylor McCain, a former resident of Irving, and has resided in Liberty for the past 14 years. He was a graduate of the Liberty High School class of 2002, received his bachelor’s degree from the Abilene Christian University. He also enjoyed music, the outdoors, and travel.
