Donald Ray Graves, 78, of Dayton, died Monday, April 27, 2015, at the San Jacinto Methodist Hospital in Baytown.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m., Thursday, April 30, 2015, at the Pace-Stancil Funeral Home Chapel with burial following at Magnolia Park cemetery in Dayton. Visitation will be held from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m., Thursday, at the funeral home. Services are under the direction of Pace-Stancil Funeral Home in Dayton.
Donald was born December 30, 1936 in Dayton, to parents; Ralph Clarence, Sr. and Sophie Gajdosik Graves, and has been a lifelong resident of Dayton. He was a retired boilermaker and enjoyed fishing, gardening, and mechanics.
Mr. Graves was preceded in death by his parents, wife: Pat Graves, brother: Ralph C. Graves, Jr., and sister: Jean Mayor. He is survived by his brother: Joe Graves of Dayton, sister: Mary Griffin of Arkansas, and numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.
Landriault
Dennis “Paul” Landriault, 76, of Baytown, died Saturday, April 25, 2015, at the Rehabilitation and Healthcare Center in Baytown.
Services will be held at a later date. Arrangements are under the direction of Pace-Stancil Funeral Home in Dayton.
Paul was born May 10, 1938 in Clayton, OK, to parents; Arthur D., Sr. and Lydia M. Oxford Landriault, a former resident of Dayton, and has resided in Baytown for the past 35 years. He was a graduate of the Webster High School, a retired electrician from CenterPoint, and member of the Church of Christ. He also enjoyed hunting, collecting guns, reading, and WW II history.
Mr. Landriault was preceded in death by his parents, grandson: Joshua D. Landriault, and brother: Arthur D. Landriault, Jr. He is survived by his wife of 44 years: Fannie Ustain Stephens Landriault of Baytown, daughter: Michelle Parsons and husband Steve of Sugarland, sons: H.D. “Bo” Landriault and wife Sheri of Dayton and Adam L. Landriault and wife Dian of Beach City, brothers: Dallas Landriault of Livingston, Roger Landriault of LaPorte, Leo Landriault of Navasota, and Johnny Landriault of Bay City, grandchildren: Jon Paul Landriault and wife Amber, Haleigh Landriault, Justin Cantu and wife Emily, Courtney Wyche and husband Curtis, Dillon Landriault, and Garrett Landriault, great-grandchildren: Peyton Trahan and Collin Shanks, and numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.
Reynolds
Barbara Lee Staarmann Reynolds, 61, of Kenefick, died Sunday, April 26, 2015, at her home surrounded by her family and friends.
Memorial services will be held at 2:00 p.m., Thursday, April 30, 2015, at the Kenefick Civic Center with services concluding thereafter. Arrangements are under the direction of Pace-Stancil Funeral Home in Dayton.
Barbara was born September 27, 1953 in Hamilton, Ohio, to parents; Leo Joseph and Hilda Lampl Staarmann. She was a former resident of Houston, and has resided in Dayton for the past 22 years. Barbara was a graduate of the Fairfield High School class of 1971. She spent her days taking care of her family and helping others. She was an Ole Tyme Days committee member and treasurer. Barbara spent many years supporting the Boy Scouts and was instrumental in forming Troup 49. She enjoyed the outdoors and took the scouts on numerous camping trips. Barbara was a Pro ET drag racer. She will be truly missed by all that knew her.
Mrs. Reynolds was preceded in death by her parents and special aunt: Frieda Lampl. She is survived by her husband of 28 years: Steve Reynolds of Dayton, daughters: Michelle Richardson of Kenefick, Jenny Williams of Kenefick, and Jolana Church and husband Tim of Illinois, brother: Leo “John” Staarmann of Colorado, grandchildren: A. J. Richardson and wife Laura, Aaron Richardson, Bryce Williams, Daniel Williams, Journey Meineke, Kherington Church, and Kamden Church, great-grandchildren: Callie and Cameron Richardson, grand dog: Duster, also numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends.
Gall
Virginia Gall 73 of Daisetta, died Friday April, 24, 2015 in Dayton surrounded by her loving family.
Zelma Virginia Gall was born on August 5, 1942 in Liberty, Texas, to parents Bowen Leonard Taylor, Sr. and Hazel Aline Taylor who preceded her in death, along with her husband Billy John Gall. She was also preceded in death by her brother, Dora Albert Taylor, and her grandson, Cory Wayne Burns. She was a loving mother, grandmother, and great grandmother.
She is survived by her brother Bowen Leonard Taylor, Jr. and wife Beverly Taylor, her son, John Harvey Compston, Jr. and wife, Marsha Compston, her daughters, Pam LaDeana Compston, Johnnie Kay Burns, Grace Aline Boothe and son-in-law, Larry Wayne Boothe, grandchildren including Herbert Ray Morgan, Jr. and wife Jessica Morgan, Eric Ray Morgan and wife Pam Morgan, Karessa Leigh Cox, Jami Michele Burns and fiancé Jason Arnold and daughter Summer, Kimberlie Aline Harlan and husband Christopher Wayne Harlan, Dustin Wayne Boothe, great grandchildren Herbert Ray Morgan III, Lucas Creedence Morgan, Brody Wayne Morgan, Ethan Art Morgan, Kolby Cecil Morgan, Tyler James Ball, Kimber Jo Cox, and Brenna Lynn Harlan, and numerous nieces and nephews. A service of remembrance will be held on Wednesday April, 29, 2015 at 1:00 P.M. at Faith & Family Funeral Services with Reverend Lesley Gaines officiating. Interment will follow at Boothe cemetery of Moss Hill. The family will be receiving friends on Tuesday April, 28, 2015 from 6:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M. at Faith & Family.

Witherspoon
Haskell Witherspoon aka “SPOON”, 68, of Anahuac, Texas died Saturday, April 25, 2015 at his home surrounded by his loving family.
He was born on November 26, 1946, in Henderson, Texas to M. M. Witherspoon and Susie Ethel Britton. The family moved to Anahuac in 1949 where he became a lifelong resident and raised his three sons with his wife of 47 years, Mary Louise Witherspoon.
Haskell worked for Texas Gulf Sulphur Company in Moss Bluff for 16 years, spending 18 months of those working in Saudi Arabia. He then went to work for Chambers County, where he served as a Road Foreman, and retired after working for 20 years. He was also a member of the Masonic Lodge of Anahuac.
Summers always brought Haskell to the ball park to coach Little League baseball with his three boys and their buddies, known as the Yankees, who always counted on his knowledge of the game. He had a great love for the outdoors, spending quality time with his sons, and showing them how to carry on his love of hunting and fishing. Each year he planted and harvested a garden that fed not only his family but many neighbors and friends as well. Even in his final days, Haskell was still involved in his spring harvest by giving special instructions on how his beloved okra should be planted.
Haskell is survived by his loving wife, Mary Louise; three sons Cade Witherspoon and wife Carol, Kyle Witherspoon and wife Jennifer, Coy Witherspoon and wife Lee Lee, all of Anahuac; grandchildren Cadee Witherspoon, of Anahuac, Shae Witherspoon, of College Station, Jace Witherspoon and Clay Witherspoon, of Anahuac; two sisters Fern Weaver, of Hankamer and Judy Dockens, of Winnie.
A visitation with the family will be on Tuesday, April 28, 2015 from 5:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M. in the Chapel of Sterling Funeral Home, 1201 S. Main St., in Anahuac.
Funeral services will be on Wednesday, April 29, 2015 Ten o’clock in the morning at the Sanctuary of the First United Methodist Church of Anahuac, 204 Trinity St., with Rev. Kelly S. Krone officiating with interment to follow in Anahuac cemetery.
He will truly be missed by his family and loving friends. When you drive by, you may no longer see Haskell sitting out by his garden, but no doubt, he’s watching from above as it continues to grow.

Chavez
Kimberly Schisler Chavez, age 39 of Liberty, died April 24, 2015 in Liberty, TX.
Kim was born April 23, 1976 in Liberty, TX, daughter of Gregory Schisler Sr and Cheryl Armstrong Schisler. She graduated from Liberty High School then attended cosmetology school at Lee College. She worked as an office manager with Arnold’s Builders in the past. She loved to paint, work with crafts, cook and enjoyed being in the outdoors. Her children were number one in her life. She will be missed by all.
Kim was preceded in death by her grandparents; Jerry and Betty Anderson, Enrique Chavez and Willie Armstrong Sr. She leaves behind to cherish her memory, husband; Alex Chavez, sons; Alex Chavez, Carson Chavez, daughter; Elizabeth Chavez, parents; Gregory Sr and Cheryl Schisler, brother; Gregory Schisler Jr, sister; Amy Michelle Schisler, grandmother; Dorothy Armstrong, mother-in-law; Maria Chavez, numerous aunts, uncles, cousins and a host of friends.
Services for Kimberly Schisler Chavez will be Wednesday, April 29, 2015 at 10am at North Main Baptist Church in Liberty, with burial to follow at Immaculate Conception Catholic cemetery. Visitation will be Tuesday, April 28, 2015 from 5pm to 8pm in the chapel at Allison Funeral Service, 1101 North Travis, Liberty, TX.
DeHoyos
Maria del Rosario Ramirez DeHoyos, 76, of Double Bayou, died Wednesday, April 22, 2015 surrounded by her loving family.
Maria was born July 2, 1938 in Coahuila Jimenez, Mexico to Nicholas and Maxima Ramirez. She was preceded in death by her dear husband Ramon DeHoyos.
Maria is survived by her two loving daughters Anita Torres and husband Hector Javier Torres, and Alma DeHoyos of Brownwood; sisters Ramona Lazara Vargas, of California, Gloria Villareal, of Brownwood, Angelica and Raul Cuellar, of Houston, Ramona Cuellar, of Mexico and brother Jose Ramirez, of Del Rio; grandchildren Jessica Torres Diaz and husband Luis Diaz, Jennifer Torres, Rafael DeHoyos and wife Erica DeHoyos, Rachel Fuentes and husband Joseph Fuentes, of Texas City and Luis Perez, of Brownwood; great grandchildren Nathan Diaz, Victor Zuniga and fiancé Shannon O’Briant, of Texas City, Marcus Zuniga, of Mont Belvieu, and Gabriel Perez, of Brownwood.
Maria and Ramon were the first Hispanic family in this area and lived in the area for more than 50 years leaving behind a legacy of love, kindness, hard work, and strength. She was known and loved by many.
The family also wishes to extend a special thanks to Mary and Seferino Licon and Danny Licon and also to Maricela Hernandez for the care and devotion during her illness.

Christ
Jeremy William Christ, 26, of Dayton, passed away on Sunday, April 19, 2015. He was born in California on September 13, 1988 to Clyde and Edith Christ.
Jeremy graduated from Dayton High School in 2007. He enjoyed working on cars, helping people and he received his Karate instruction’s at Rising Sun in Atascocita and he also received his orange belt in Karate.
Jeremy is preceded in death by his grandfather Clyde W. Christ.
He is survived by his wife Kim Brown; son Cameron Christ; father Clyde Christ; stepmother Rebecca Brown; mother Edith Christ; brother Joshua Christ and wife Tory; grandmother Jeannette Christ; nephew Connor Christ and a host of friends.
A visitation with the family will be from 12:00pm until 5:00pm on Sunday, April 26, 2015 at the Dayton Community Center, 801 S. Cleveland St., with a memorial service beginning at 1:00pm.

Dowdell
Gloria June Dowdell 52 of Hardin died on Sunday April, 19, 2015 at Magnolia Place Health Care in Liberty.
A native of Dallas, she had lived in Hardin many years and was a provider for Home Health Care. She enjoyed and loved being with her family.
Gloria was preceded in death by her parents John Moore and Clara Patterson; and grandchild Zachary Gage.
She is survived by her husband William David Dowdell of Liberty; sons Fred Flores and wife Toni of Hardin; and Daniel Castillo of Houston. Daughter Rosie Braxton and husband Carl of Moss Bluff. Mother and Father-in law Anna and Robert Locke of Daisetta; Joe Dowdell and wife Joy of Daisetta. Brother John Matthew Moore Jr. of Dayton. Uncle, Ron Hollingsworth of Houston and aunt Doreen Blanchard and husband James of Hardin.
Brother-in-laws are Raymond Dowdell and wife Liz of Liberty; Michael Dowdell Sr. and wife Stacy of Raywood; Tony Locke and wife Melissa of Hardin; Daniel Locke of Liberty; Richard Locke and wife Lisa of Cleveland; and Charlie Locke and wife Kerri of Devers.
Sister-in-law Terri Kudermyer and husband Lewis of Liberty. First cousin and best friend Elizabeth Vasquez and family of Dallas; and numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Dickson
Bobbie M. Dickson, 82, of Liberty, Texas the third child born to Kenzie and Gertie Morris, ldied, April 20, 2015 and went to her home in heaven.
She was born on March 29, 1931 in Hardin, Texas. She joined Olive Bethel Baptist Church at an early age and remained a faithful and participating member until her health failed. She sung in the choir for many many years, was a Sunday school teacher and participated in different activities of the church.
She went to elementary school and high school in Hardin. After graduating from high school, she went to Prairie View A&M University, where she received her BA degree in Business Education I n May 1952.
After working several jobs, she was offered a teaching position in the Liberty Training High School in 1954. During her teaching career, she went back to college and earned a Master’s Degree in Business Education from Texas Southern University, Houston, Texas in 1967. She met and married
her husband, William Dickson, in December 1964.
After 40 years in the school district, she retired in 1994. She transcended into retirement, by working at her record shop and also administered test at Liberty High School and worked as a substitute teacher in the Windham School District.
She received the Texas Excellence Award for Outstanding High School Teach in 1989, the Excellence in Teaching Award in 1990, and Certificate of Appreciation for Outstanding Service presented by the office of Education Association of Texas in 1978 and Black History Month Celebration Award for her devoted years of service to West Liberty High and Elementary Schools, City of Ames in 1999.
Bobbie was a very humble, patient and kind person. She was never in a hurry to do anything. She loved the Lord and exemplified that through her ways and actions. Her enjoyment was being with family, attending to her record shop, cooking, helping family members in any way she could and traveling which she did in her later years.
Those awaiting her arrival in heaven are her parents Kenzie and Gertie Morris, brothers McKenzie Morris, Lonnie Morris and Travoyie (Troy) Morris and sister Louise Morris. Those left to cherish her memories are her husband of 51 years, William B. Dickson, of Liberty; step daughter Jocelyn, of Houston; sisters Katie Reddicks and husband John, of Humble, Texas, Maxine Moye, of Beaumont, Texas and Sandra Davis and husband Greg, of Richmond, California; brother Ernie Morris and wife Carolyn, of Pearland, Texas, nieces, great nieces, great-great nieces, nephews, great nephews, great-great-great nephews and many friends and care takers who will miss her.
A visitation with the family will be on Saturday, April 25, 2015 from 9:00am until 11:00am at Olive Bethel Baptist Church, 5830 FM 1011, in Hardin, Texas where funeral services will follow at 11:00am, with Rev. Greg Bellard, Rev. Dan Burrell, Jr., Rev. Dwight Pruitt and Rev, Richard Ayers, Jr., officiating.
Interment will follow in Bingham cemetery.
