Gilliam
John Harris Gilliam 69 of Batson, Texas died on Wednesday December 30, 2015 at Harbor Hospice of Beaumont.
A service of remembrance will be held on Saturday January 2, 2016 at 10:00A.M. at Thicket Church of God, with Reverend Mark Ainsworth and Reverend Phil Love officiating. Interment will follow at Guedry cemetery in Batson.
Serving as pallbearers are Gary Gilliam, Josh Bowman, Johnny Jordan, Robert Austin, Daniel Scruble and James Gilliam. Honorary pallbearers are Gene Cotten and John Cotten.
The family will be receiving friends on Friday January 1, 2016 from 5:00 P.M. until 9:00 P.M. at Thicket Church of God.
John was born in Liberty, Texas, November 28, 1946 to Buddy Gilliam and Louise Shane. He had lived in Batson, most of his life and was a retired Vacuum Truck Driver for Basil Oilfield Services of Saratoga.
He is survived by his wife Sandra Gilliam of Batson; son Donnie Gilliam and wife Melissa of Batson. Daughters, Cheryl Cotton and husband Gene of Batson, and Danyelle Jordan and husband Johnny of Batson. Brothers, James Gilliam of Quitman, TX, and David Gilliam of Gilmer, and half sister Mary Jo. Barnhart of Port Acres. Grandchildren 10, and great grandchildren 2.

Malone
Cleda Renee Malone of Liberty, died on Sunday December 27, 2015 at her residence surrounded by her family. She was 56.
A native and lifelong residence of Liberty, she was retired as a Social Worker for The Department of Health and Human Services of Liberty.
She was preceded in death by he adopted parents Sim Abel and Cleda Bernice Pate.
She is survived by her mother, Patsy Ann Harmon of Liberty, son, Marcus Malone and wife Tiffany of Austin. Daughter Ami Silva of Liberty. Brothers Charles Harmon of Montana, and Sim "Bubba" Abel Jr. of Broaddus. Sisters, Lana Kay Williams of Rye, Tammy Geter and husband Greg of Liberty, and Lana Harmon of Liberty.
Grandchildren are Grady Silva and Marlie Jean Malone.

L. D. Lowe, 86, of Kenefick, died Friday, December 25, 2015, at his residence.
Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m., Wednesday, December 30, 2015, at the Pace-Stancil Funeral Home Chapel with burial following at San Jacinto Memorial Park in Houston. Visitation will be held from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m., Tuesday, at the residence of 5094 FM 1008, in Kenefick. Services are under the direction of Pace-Stancil Funeral Home in Dayton.
L. D. was born December 24, 1929 in Purvis, Mississippi, to parents; Leavy, Sr. and Margaret Hartfield Lowe, and has been a longtime resident of Kenefick. He was a veteran of the US Army with service in Korea, a self-employed carpenter, and former pastor of Living Waters Baptist Church. He also enjoyed fishing, hunting, singing, and farming.
Mr. Lowe was preceded in death by his parents, brother: Billy James Lowe, and sisters: Lorice Pitts, Lucille Smith, and Merle Johnston. He is survived by his wife of 63 years: Dolores Davis Lowe of Kenefick, daughters: Shelia Hall and husband Larry of Crosby, Rita Borny and husband Jean-Francois of Crosby, and Vanessa Shields and husband Paul of Crosby, sons: Reginald Lowe and wife Lori of Dayton and Timothy Lowe and wife Karla of North Carolina, sisters: Loretta Stampley and husband Sherman of Mississippi and Nancy Seals and husband Carl Gosmann of Tennessee, brothers: David Larry Lowe and wife Gloria of Mississippi and Velton Lowe and wife Audrey of Mississippi, grandchildren: Christina Ortiz, Michelle Spiers, Jeremiah Price, Joshua Price, David Price, Chad Price, Regina Monts, Samantha Borny, Serina Borny, Katarina Borny, Katrina Borny, Chelsea Hughes-Martinez, Jesse Martinez, Riley Lowe, P. Kinney
Murrie Gene Kinney, Sr., 87, of Kenefick, died Wednesday, December 30, 2015, at the Cedar Bayou Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Baytown.
Murrie was born November 10, 1928 in Houston, to parents; Murrie Austin and Lou Edna Myers Kinney, and has been a resident of Kenefick since 1978. He was a retired pipefitter from Rohm and Haas Plastics and Baptist by faith. He also enjoyed reading, movies, yardwork, and especially spending time with family.
Mr. Kinney was preceded in death by his parents. He is survived by his wife of 68 years: Elsie Campbell Kinney of Baytown, son: Murrie Gene Kinney, Jr. of Dayton, daughters: Jenny Allen and husband John of Baytown and Kathy Muckleroy of Baytown, grandchildren: Kristy, Holly, Lori, Nikki, Mindy, Bryan, and James, numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.
The family would like to thank the doctors, nurses, and staff of Cedar Bayou Nursing and Rehabilitation Center for the care given to Mr. Kinney.

Cathron G. “Cathy” Morgan Keen, 68, of Cleveland, died Monday, December 28, 2015, at the San Jacinto Methodist Hospital in Baytown.

Cathy was born October 14, 1947 in Prescott, Arkansas, to parents; J.D. “Doc” and Delma Faye Wilson Morgan, a former resident of Baytown, and has resided in Cleveland for the past 15 years. She was a homemaker and enjoyed sewing, baking, and her yardwork.
Mrs. Keen was preceded in death by her father: J.D. “Doc” Morgan, mother: Delma Faye Wilson Smith, grandson: James Tuttle, brother: Steve Morgan, and stepmother: Hazel Morgan. She is survived by her husband of 49 years: Charles Keen of Cleveland, daughter: Cathryn “Cathi” M. Tuttle and husband William of Dayton, son: Charles C. “Coby” Keen of Baytown, stepfather: W. R. Smith, brothers: Jim, Paul, John, and Mike, sisters: Pam and Sherry, grandchildren: Jacob, Jesse, Kaden, and Kasen, step-brother: Doug Smith; numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.

Alfred L. “Buddy” Brown, 76, of Moss Hill, died Sunday, December 27, 2015, at his residence.

Buddy was born August 23, 1939 in Silsbee, to parents; Alfred M. and Helen Irby Brown, a former resident of Schwab City, and has resided in Moss Hill for the past 30 years. He was a crane operator and attended New Rebekah Church. He also enjoyed hunting, playing and listening to music.
Mr. Brown was preceded in death by his parents, sister: Mary Lee, and brother: Oliver Brown. He is survived by his wife of 36 years: Betty Burress Brown of Moss Hill, sons: Jason Brown and wife Kassi of Moss Hill, Terry Whitmire and wife Sonia of Crosby, and A. L. Brown and wife Melinda of Fannett, daughters: Connie Flowers and husband Ricky of Saratoga, Jennifer Kiker and husband Danny of Alabama, and Crystal Brown of Batson, sisters: Joyce, Betty, Debbie, Liz, and Jewel, brothers: Bob, Bill, Kenneth, and Noel, 18 grandchildren, 10 great-grandchildren, numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.
Guedry
Anna Jean Bishop Guedry of Batson, died on Monday December 28, 2015 at Silsbee Oaks Health Care Center. She was 95.
A celebration of her life will be held on Thursday December 31, 2015 at 2:00 P.M. at Batson Prairie Baptist Church with Reverend Lee Gruver officiating. Interment will follow at Guedry cemetery in Batson.
Serving as pallbearers are John David Melear, Jeff Melear, Troy Collins, Jerisan Weaver, Jason Siros and Bob Guedry.
There will be a gathering of family and friends on Wednesday December 30, 2015 from 6:30 P.M. until 8:30 P.M. at Faith & Family.
A native of Sour Lake, she had lived in Batson, most of her life and was a homemaker. She was also a lifelong member of Batson Prairie Baptist Church.
She was preceded in death by her husband Evertt Guedry. Brothers, James Bishop, John Bishop, Earl Bishop, and sister Mary Smith.
Those left to survive her are son, Jerry Evertt Guedry and wife Patty of Batson, daughters, Ann Melear and husband Sidney of Lafayette, and Dorothy Smith of Friendswood. Sisters are June Bishop of San Marcos, and Doris Gaither of Pleasanton. TX.
Grandchildren are Christy Guedry Weaver and husband Gerald of Batson, John David Melear of Lafayette, Troy Collins of Hitchcock, William "Jeff" Melear and wife Mariana of Friendswood, and Suzanne McGowen and husband Henry III. of Fredericksburg. Great grandchildren 10, and great - great grandchild 1. She is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and a host of loving friends who will miss her very much.

Randolph
Russell O. Randolph, the fourth child born to Floyd and Agnes Randolph, died December 23, 2015.
He was born on January 29, 1958 in Liberty, Texas. He joined Olive Bethel Missionary Baptist Church at an early age, and never strayed too far from the fellowship of churches. While living in Houston, he was active at local churches; however; his later years were spent at Olive Bethel performing his duties as an usher on Usher Board. He also participated in Sunday School and Brotherhood.
He went to elementary and high school in Hardin, TX. After graduating from Hardin High School in 1976, he went on to Prairie A&M University for a while. After working several jobs, Russell realized that he was strictly an outdoorsman. Just like Abel in Genesis, Russell’s talent was farming and landscaping. He enjoyed working with plants and vegetation. One of his other favorite pastimes was making people laugh. He did that through storytelling, along with much exaggeration.
Whenever Russell found the opportunity to witness about the goodness of our heavenly Father, he did. One of his favorite scriptures was Philippians 4:13, “ I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me.”
Those left to cherish his memories are: his mother, Agnes M. Randolph of Kendleton, TX; his father and step-mother, Floyd and Wilbeth Randolph of Hardin, TX; son, Damien Henderson of Houston; grandson, Zarien Henderson of Houston; brothers, Ralph Randolph (Carolyn) of Baytown, TX, Ronnie Randolph (Joyce) of Kendleton, TX, Raymond Randolph (Wilda) of Houston, TX; Bishop Randolph of Hardin, TX; and Fred Randolph (Tonya) of Baytown, TX.; . Ronald L. “Ronnie” Holleman, 82, of Liberty, died Saturday, December 26, 2015, at his residence.

Ronnie was born August 2, 1933 in Shawnee, Oklahoma, to parents; Robert and Trudy Penniston Holleman, a former resident of Deer Park, and has resided in Liberty for the past 33 years. He was a graduate of the Shawnee High School and veteran of the US Navy with service during Korea. Mr. Holleman held membership in the North Main Baptist Church, Shriner, and Liberty Masonic Lodge #48 AF/AM. He also enjoyed carpentry, camping, and travel.
Mr. Holleman was preceded in death by his parents: Robert and Trudy Penniston Holleman, daughter: Sherry Hancock, and grandson: Scotty Woods. Sharp
Nathan Mark Sharp, age 58 of Dayton, died December 26, 2015 at his residence with his loving family by his side.
Nathan was born May 8, 1957 in Lamarque, TX, son of the late Benson Lamar Sharp and Natalie Scott Sharp. After completion of high school, Nathan was a mechanic most of his life. He loved to fish, cook and had a big heart. Nathan was known by his family as Mr. Fix It. One of Nathan’s joys was selling fireworks for twenty plus years.
Nathan was preceded in death by his parents. He leaves behind to cherish his memory, son; Nathan Derek Sharp and companion Jennifer Wyrick of Dayton, brothers; Scott Lamar Sharp and wife Debra of Clear Lake City, TX, Michael Benson Sharp of Dayton, and Sidney Guy Sharp and wife Debbie of Sanderson, TX.

Rance
Mrs. Willie B. Rance 90, of Silsbee, TX. died Dec. 22, 2015.
Services will be Monday, Dec. 28, 2015 at First Baptist Church 625 2nd St. Silsbee, TX. Interment will be in Kirby cemetery, Silsbee, TX.
Born to Willie and Maebelle Rance of McComb Mississippi, on November 7, 1925. She was a star basketball player while in high school. She completed high school and one year of college.
Mrs. Rance and family moved from Mississippi to Houston in her early years and in 1970 they moved for a job related purpose to Silsbee, Texas. Once there she joined First Baptist and stayed in Christ up until her death.
Mrs. Rance was married
twice to James Lowery and William Burnett, and both preceded her in death. Ms. Rance was a mother to seven children, four preceded her in death.
In 2010 Mrs. Rance moved back to Houston for health reasons to stay with her Granddaughter Tonya.
She is survived by children: Patricia Smith of Houston, Evelyn Jones of Silsbee and Paul Rance of Austin, Texas and a slew of relatives and friends.
“Grannie B.” a name given to her by her grandchildren wants all of her grandchildren and great- grandchildren to stand. This is her fifth generation of children.
