Scott Andrew Underwood, 46, of Coldspring, died Sunday, February 7, 2016, at the Conroe Regional Hospital in Conroe.
Visitation will be held from 5:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m., Monday, February 8, 2016 t Pace Stancil Funeral Home, Cleveland, Texas. Graveside services will be held at 3:00 p.m., Tuesday, February 9, 2016, at the Swearingen cemetery in Warren, with burial following thereafter. Services are under the direction of Pace-Stancil Funeral Home in Cleveland.
Scott was born April 23, 1969 in Houston, a former resident of Houston, and has resided in Coldspring for the past 20 years. He was a carpenter by trade and enjoyed fishing, wood working, and hunting.
Mr. Underwood was preceded in death by his brother: Aaron Underwood. He is survived by his wife: Deborah Yzaguirre Underwood, daughter: Kathleen “Kay” Yzaguirre, parents: Deidre and Charlie Kennerly, brothers: Matthew Kennerly, Charlie Kennerly, Curry Kennerly, Kelly Kennerly, and Joshua Kennerly, sisters: Jennifer Kennerly, Amanda Eubanks, and Julie Kennerly, parents-in-law: Ruben and Kathleen Yzaguirre, numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.
Biskamp
Edna Elaine Biskamp Of Daisetta, died on Friday February 5, 2016 at Kindred Hospital in Baytown. She was 73.
A service of remembrance will be held on Wednesday February 10, 2016 at 2:00 P.M at The Daisetta United Pentecostal Church with Reverend Lonnie Jordan officiating. Interment will follow at Oak Dale cemetery in Daisetta.
The family will be receiving friends on Tuesday February 9, 2016 from 5:00 P.M. until 7:00 P.M. at the Daisetta United Pentecostal Church.
She was born and had lived in Daisetta, for many years and was a homemaker and member of The Daisetta United Pentecostal Church.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Deward Biskamp. Her parents Pete Virgil Riley and Flora Dee Sweezy.
She is survived by her brothers, Wayne Riley and wife Glenda of Gilmer, TX, Kenneth Riley of Hardin, Gary Riley and wife Debbie of Newport, TN, and sister Linda King and husband Jeff of Devers, TX, and numerous nieces, nephews, and a host of loving and caring friends.

Donald Wade Castilaw 62, of Saratoga, died on February 3, 2016 at Michael E. DeBakey Hospital in Houston.
The family will have a gathering of family and friends on Monday February 8, 2016 from 5:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M., with a service to begin at 7:30 P.M. with Reverend Frank Aragon and Reverend Bill Campbell officiating, at Faith & Family Funeral Services Inc.
Donald was born March 5, 1953 in Kountze, Texas to A.J. Castilaw and Berniece Lilley. He was a lifelong resident of Saratoga, a retired maintenance worker for Hardin County and a U.S. Navy veteran.
Donald is preceded in death by his parents.
He is survived by his son, Dannon "Snapper" Castilaw of Saratoga, daughters, Tanisha Castilaw of Arizona and Shanna Castilaw of Arizona, brothers, Wayne Castilaw of Saratoga, sisters, Elaine Wells of Kountze, Gale Morrison of Port Neches and Kay Carmichael of Fredericksburg, TX.
Grandchildren are Jolie Castilaw, Dawson Castilaw, Shelbie Lopshire, Shelden Kitelinger, Logan Verdugo, Emmalee Kitelinger and numerous nieces, nephews and host of loving friends.

Clark
Karen Lynn Watson Clark, 56, of Liberty, Texas died Thursday, February 5, 2016 in Winnie, Texas.
She was born on January 12, 1960 in Pasadena, Texas to Vincent Eugene and Etheline Gail Walters Watson. Karen was the owner for several years of KC Feed Store in Baytown. Some of her hobbies included fishing or in her words, “Perch jerking”, horseback riding, trail riding and gardening. Her favorite hobby of all was her family and her animals. Karen was a beautiful, loving, funny and quirky woman. She was kind hearted; she loved her momma greatly and adored her little brother David.
Karen was preceded in death by her father; her loving husband, Rick Clark; and her two brothers, Gene Watson and Ronnie Walters. She leaves behind to cherish her memory her mother, Gail Watson of Liberty; her daughter, Jamie Gallardo and husband Mike of Houston; her brother, David Watson and wife Donna of Beaumont; her sister, Jackie Couch and husband Loren of Grapevine; and her grandsons, Trey Purdy and Nicholas Garcia; and other loving family and friends. Karen will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her.

Steve Jefferson Bennett, of Wallisville died February 3, 2016 in Alvin, Texas.
The youngest of ten children, Steve was born March 5, 1943 in Athens, Florida to Cobie & Vada (Boggs) Bennett. Steve was a resident of the Anahuac area for approximately forty-five years. He retired from Brown & Root where he worked as a dredge line operator. During his construction career, Steve helped dig Lake Anahuac. He was considered a hard-working man who was often sleepy, joked a lot, and enjoyed a good party. In his spare time, Steve enjoyed fishing, widdling, and growing vegetables with his talented “green thumb.”
Steve is preceded in death by his parents; sisters, Beatrice Taylor, and Earlene Cain; brothers, Cecil Bennett, and Hershel Bennett; and step-son, Alan Dale “Shorty” Pinder.
He leaves behind to cherish his memory, his loving wife of forty-five years, Patricia Ann (Spillers) Bennett of Wallisville; daughter, Roxanne Shumate & husband Shawn of Wallisville; son, Gregory Bennett & wife Shannon of San Antonio; step-daughter, Theresa Broussard & husband Raymond of Woodville; brothers, Wayne Bennett & wife Dorothy of Dayton, and Hasten Bennett of Blountstown, FL; sisters, Vivian Guilford & husband Gene of Panama City, FL, Elizabeth Bennett of Panama City, FL, and Virginia Peterson & husband Russell, Sr. of Blountstown, FL; numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren, great-great grandchildren, and a host of extended family members and friends.

Edna Earl Bailey 79 of Liberty, Texas, died on Saturday January 30, 2016 at Magnolia Place of Liberty.
A service of remembrance will be held 2:00 P.M. Wednesday February 3, 2016 at Faith & Family Funeral Services with Reverend Gideon Watson officiating. Interment will follow at Guedry cemetery. Serving as pallbearers are Tanya Sirmons, Thomas Shane, Thomas Shane, Jr., Jerry Shane, Chipper Shane and Eddie. Honorary pallbearer is Troy Walker.

Edna was born November 2, 1934 in Hull to her parents, Jackson Lamar Osborn and Audrey Mae Flowers. Edna was a homemaker and lived in Liberty most of her life.
She is preceded in death by her parents, son, Stewart Tanner, brothers, Jerry Osborn, Shorty Osborn and Harold Osborn., grandson, Jason Dowdell and her husband Jerry Thomas Bailey.
She is survived by her son, Bruce Tanner of Houston., daughters, Brenda Sue Istre of Liberty, Linda Jane Walker of Liberty and Marthasue Neve and husband Don of League City., one brother, Vinson Ray Osborn and 17 grandchildren and 19 great grandchildren.

McMillan
James McMillan, of Cleveland, Texas died Saturday January 30, 2016 at his residence in Cleveland, with his family by his side.
He was 73. A service of remembrance will be held Saturday February 6, 2016 at 11:00AM at Faith & Family Funeral Services with Reverend Woody Sonnier officiating and interment to follow at Felps cemetery. Serving as pallbearers are Jerry Alsobrooks, William Anderson, Terrill Booker, Christopher Anderson, Stonley Brawley and James Brawley.

James was born July 28, 1942 in Grayburg, Texas to James McMillan and Sally Walker. He was a lifelong resident of Cleveland and a Heavy Equipment Operator. He loved gardening, riding horses, dancing and riding bulls in his younger years.
He is preceded in death by his parents and a sister Tommie Beth Garison.

Cody Lee Copeland, 28, of Dayton died Thursday, January 28, 2016 in Houston, Texas.
Visitation for Cody will be 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Monday, February 1, 2016 at Pace-Stancil Funeral Home, Dayton. Services will be 11:00 a.m., Tuesday, February 2, 2016 at Pace-Stancil Funeral Home Chapel. Graveside service will follow at Center Hill Baptist Church cemetery in Oakhurst, Texas at 3:00 p.m.
Cody was born January 3, 1988 in Channelview, Texas to parents, Joe Paul Copeland and Fawn Cecile Thomas Copeland. He was a lifelong resident of Dayton and 2006 graduate of Dayton High School. Cody also attended Lee College. He enjoyed racing dirt bikes, fishing, hunting, shooting, surfing and riding his skateboard. He love his music. Most of all he loved being a father to his son Joe Paul. Cody will always be loved and missed by all that knew him.
Cody was preceded in death by his father, Joe Paul Copeland, his grandparents, Damon Thomas, Sr., Clarence and Mary Currie Copeland. He is survived by son, Joe Paul Copeland, II of Dayton; the mother of his son, Ciara Bullard of Dayton; his mother, Fawn C. Duckworth
Clifton Gerald Duckworth 90, of Kountze, Texas, died on Wednesday January 27, 2016 at Baptist Beaumont Hospital surrounded by his family. He died as they sang to him.
A graveside service will be held Tuesday February 2, 2016 at the Dallas Fort Worth National cemetery at 11:30AM with Reverend Ronnie Morrow officiating.
Clifton was born January 30, 1925 to his parents, George Duckworth and Jonnie Crump, in Bratville, Texas. He was a self-employed carpet installer, a jack of all trades, and a WWII Army Veteran.
Clifton is preceded in death by his parents, George Duckworth and Jonnie Taylor., first wife, Ella Duckworth, and a son, Ricky Duckworth.
He is survived by his wife, Mary Duckworth of Kountze, step-daughter, Jelaine Morrow and husband Ronnie of Kountze, son, Jerry Duckworth and wife Alene of Volcano, CA, daughter, Freda Thurlkill and husband Tim of Volcano, CA, daughter, Shirley Douglas of Springfield, MO and step-child, Walter Dale of Midland, TX.

Sloyan
Jerry McKinley Sloyan age 97 died Friday January 29, 2016 in Liberty, Texas.
Jerry was born in Texarkana, TX. November 13, 1918 the son of the late John Sloyan and Audre Haltom Sloyan. Jerry was a member of Electrician’s Local 716 for seventy-five years. After he retired Jerry continued to work building his own home. He enjoyed to travel and had been a lifelong member of the Masonic Lodge as a 32 Degree Mason. In November of 1942 Jerry joined the US Navy and served during WWII till 1946. While in the Navy he attained the rank of Electrician’s Mate First Class.
Besides his parents he was preceded in death by his brother Jimmy Sloyan and his wife Vonceal Sloyan.
He leaves behind to cherish his memory his daughters Gail Burger of Channelview, Jerisue Sloyan of Liberty, and Nancy Stoorza and her husband Harry of Hempstead. In addition Jerry leaves seven grandchildren, five great-grandchildren, and six great-great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held 11AM Wednesday February 3, 2016 at Allison Funeral Service, 1101 N. Travis Liberty, Texas. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service. Graveside services will be held at 2:15 P.M. Wednesday at Houston National cemetery with full military honors.
Smith
Wanda "Granny” Smith, age 80 of Liberty, died at her residence on January 27, 2016.
Granny was born January 26, 1936 in Quail, TX, daughter of the late R.B. Blacksher and Myrtle Wall Blacksher. Granny moved to Liberty in 1989 and was a daycare specialist. She touched so many families by caring for the little ones that she called hers. Granny loved her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. The community has lost a loving member.
Granny was preceded in death by her parents, son; Eddie Blacksher and brother Denzil Blacksher.
She leaves behind to cherish her memory, daughter; Sandy Keslar-Hartford and husband Jeff, son; John Ham and Wife Jane, sisters; Edith Larkin, Irene Farris and husband Harold, brothers; Billy Dan Blacksher and wife Brenda, Joe Blacksher and wife Saunna, grandchildren; Heath Blackshear, J.J.
