Robert Klipper, 75, born on September 21, 1932 in Long Island, New York passed away on Sunday, December 9, 2007 in Houston, Texas. Robert wil lbe missed by his family and friends.

Robert S. Tutt

Bob Tutt, for 40 years a reporter and editor for the Houston Chronicle, died Thursday in a Houston hospital of pneumonia. He was 75. As a reporter, Tutt covered city government; criminal courts, politics, radio and television; religious news; and labor. From 1976-81, he was city editor, and in 1982 he was chief of the paper's Austin bureau. Tutt graduated from Reagan High School in 1951. He earned a bachelor's degree from the University of Texas at Austin in 1955. After serving in the Army, Tutt joined the Chronicle in 1957. He retired in 1997. Tutt's series of articles dealing with experiences of Houston-area veterans during World War II was regarded as one of his finest achievements. Survivors include a daughter, Vanessa Tutt Pezzillo of Henderson, Nev.; and brothers, Julian Evans and Phillip Tutt, both of Houston.

James B. Laughlin

JAMES BYRON LAUGHLIN, 53 of Houston, TX passed away on Monday, November 19, 2007. He is survived by his sisters Nancy Milne-Goldstein and Cynthia Wilson; nieces and nephews Madison and Jesy Laughlin, Leah Goldstein, and John Wilson. James was a member of St. Francis De Sales Church. He was involved in RCIA and was a certified catechist. He was also actively involved with the Ecuador Mission. Jim Lauglin, Director of Metro Transportation Services is well known here in Houston and across the country for his innovations in providing paratransit service, improving the benefits of partnerships with major taxicab companies on a local level as well as nationally. He became a leader in the industry during his 28 years with Metro making Metrolift the most productive system in the nation among large systems. Jim's leadership will be misssed not only in Houston, but throughout the nation. He will be dearly missed by his family and his many friends. A memorial service will be held on Wednesday, November 21, 2007 at the St. Francis De Sales church at 10:30 a.m. The family has requested that in lieu of flowers, donations be made to Jim's heartfelt mission, the FSDS Ecuador Mission Fund.
