Lillian Agnes Leblanc, 92, of Port Arthur died Sept. 17, 2000, at Park Central Nursing Home.
Funeral will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday at St. Catherine Catholic Church in Port Arthur with burial at Greenlawn Memorial Park in Groves under the direction of Grammier-Oberle Funeral Home in Port Arthur. Visitation will be from 5 to 9 p.m. today with a rosary to be recited at 7 p.m. at the funeral home.
A native of Jeanerette, La., she lived in Port Arthur most of her life and was a homemaker.
Survivors include her daughter, Juliette Melancon of Nederland; sons, Norbert Leblanc of Conroe and Paul Leblanc of Splendora; sisters, May Gautreaux of Houston and Mary Alice Pharo of Needville; nine grandchildren; and 17 great-grandchildren.
JOHNNIE MATTAR
Johnnie Mattar, 83, of Nederland died Sept. 18, 2000, at Christus St. Elizabeth Hospital.
Funeral will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday at St. Charles Catholic Church in Nederland with burial at Greenlawn Memorial Park in Groves under the direction of Clayton-Thompson Funeral Home in Groves. Visitation will be from 8:30 to 9:30 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.
A native of Port Arthur, he lived in Port Arthur most of his life before moving to Nederland and was a retired Roland Angelle Pontiac mechanic. He also worked for other local Chevrolet dealerships and was a World War II and Vietname War U.S. Army veteran.
Survivors include his sister, Mary Q. Mattar of Nederland.

James David Parker, 37, of Irving died Sept. 16, 2000, in Dallas.
A graveside service will be at 3 p.m. Wednesday at Hooks Cemetery in Kountze under the direction of Farmer Funeral Home in Silsbee. Visitation will begin at 2 p.m. today at the funeral home.
A native of McAllen and former resident of Dallas, he lived in Beaumont several years and was a Y-Medical pharmacist in Irving.
Survivors include his mother, Gail Parker of Albuquerque, N.M.; stepfather, Robert Lopez of Albuquerque; brother, Mark Parker of Albuquerque; and sister, Andrea McEneny of Albuquerque.

Olive M. Pevoto, 87, of Port Arthur died Sept. 18, 2000, at Park Place Medical Center.
Funeral will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Groves with burial at Greenlawn Memorial Park under the direction of Levingston Funeral Home in Groves. Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. today with a wake service to be at 6:30 p.m. at the funeral home.
A native of Grand Chenier, La., she lived in Port Arthur 53 years.
Survivors include her stepdaughter, Marie Newton of Orange; stepson, Cecil Pevoto of Sulphur, La.; and sister, Sue Koonce of Port Neches.

Helen A. Davis Redfearn, 88, of Port Arthur died Sept. 18, 2000, at her residence.
Funeral will be at 10 a.m. Thursday at Grammier-Oberle Funeral Home in Port Arthur with burial at Greenlawn Memorial Park. Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. today and Wednesday at the funeral home.
A native of Mobile, Ala., she lived in Port Arthur 86 years and was a homemaker.
Survivors include her husband, Maurice Lloyd Redfearn of Port Arthur; daughters, Gloria M. Faver and Judith Ann Madewell, both of Hilltop Lakes; six grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.

Fredrick James Sullivan, 80, of Woodville died Sept. 18, 2000, at his residence in Ivanhoe.
Cremation services were handled by Riley Funeral Home in Woodville.
A native and former resident of Canada, he lived in Woodville many years and was a retired boiler maker. He was also a U.S. Air Force veteran.
Survivors include his wife, Kathleen Monaghan Sullivan of Woodville; daughter, Saundra Case of Woodville; and grandson, Jason Abernathy.

William Michael "Mike’’ Tanton, 20, of Hardin died Sept. 16, 2000, in a Houston hospital.

He was a native of Hardin.

A native and longtime resident of Liberty, he was a dispatcher for the Liberty County Sheriff’s Department.

Reginald Wayne Adams, 59, of Beaumont died Sept. 23, 2000, at Christus St. Elizabeth Hospital.
A memorial service will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at Christ Temple African Methodist Episcopal Zion Church in Willingboro, N.J., with burial at Odd Fellows Cemetery in Burlington, N.J., under the direction of Boyd Funeral Home in New Jersey. A native of Mount Holly, N.J., he lived in Beaumont more than two years.

Curtis J. Barbay Sr., 84, of Port Neches died Sept. 27, 2000, at Mid-Jefferson Hospital in Nederland.

A native and lifelong resident of Port Arthur, he was a retired Texaco Inc. package and shipping department supervisor. He was also in the National Guard.

A native of Carson, La., he lived in the Vidor and Beaumont areas most of his life and was a retired pipefitter superintendent and past business manger for Local No. 195.

Fern "Sonny’’ Galloway, 63, of Groves died Sept. 26, 2000, at Christus St. Mary Hospital in Port Arthur.
Funeral will be at 10 a.m. Friday at Levingston Funeral Home in Groves with a Masonic graveside service at 3 p.m. at Welcome Cemetery in Simpson, La. Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. today at the funeral home.
A native of Simpson and a longtime resident of Groves, he was a Hughes Security guard, a retired Texaco Inc. electrician and a U.S. Navy veteran.
Survivors include his wife, Janie Galloway of Groves; daughters, Lisa Moran of Wisconsin and Michelle Weeks of Port Arthur; sister, Elaine Galloway of Groves; brother, David Galloway of Gilchrist; and one grandson.
