Eugenie Callahan, 89, of Orange died June 22, 2000 at Memorial Hermann Baptist Orange Hospital.
A Mass of Christian burial will be at 2 p.m. Saturday at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Orange with burial at Hillcrest Memorial Gardens under the direction of Claybar Funeral Home in Orange. Visitation will begin at 5 p.m. today with a rosary to be recited at 6 p.m. at the funeral home.
A native of Arnaudville, La., and former resident Leonville, La., she lived in Orange 57 years and was a retired Oates Elementary School cafeteria worker.
Survivors include her daughter, Shirley Carpenter of Orange; sister, Rosa Stelley of Breaux Bridge, La.; seven grandchildren; and 12 great-grandchildren.
ROBERT J. CARROLL
Robert J. Carroll, 63, of Beaumont died June 21, 2000 at Christus St. Elizabeth Hospital.
Funeral will be at 4 p.m. today at Wesley United Methodist Church with burial at Forest Lawn Memorial Park under the direction of Carroll-Wallace Funeral Directors. Visitation will be from noon to 2 p.m. today at the funeral home.
A native of Houston, he lived in Beaumont 48 years and was the retired co-owner of Carroll-Sherman Construction.
Survivors include his wife, Linda Carroll of Beaumont; sons, Jack Carroll of Beaumont, Lee Carroll of Nederland and Beau Carroll of Boston, Mass.; daughter, Jill Gerlufsen of Beaumont; and six grandchildren.

Ora Belle Clark, 90, of Magnolia died June 21, 2000 in Magnolia.
Funeral will be at 11 a.m. today at Riley Funeral Home in Woodville with a graveside service at 2 p.m. Saturday at San Saba Cemetery in San Saba.
A native of McCulloch and former resident of Channelview and Ivanhoe for 10 years, she lived in Magnolia three years and was a homemaker.
Survivors include her son, Jim Allen Clark of Spring; grandchildren, Charlene Denise Smith of Magnolia and Cheryl Hanson and Brett Hanson, both of Deer Park; and three great-grandchildren.

Beth Dunn, 81, of Liberty died June 22, 2000 at her residence.
Funeral will be at 1 p.m. Saturday at First United Methodist Church in Liberty with a graveside service at 3:30 p.m. Saturday at Forest Lawn Cemetery under the direction of Allison Funeral Service in Liberty. Visitation will be from 6 to 8:30 p.m. today at the funeral home.
A native of Stowell and former resident of Beaumont, she lived in Liberty 58 years and was a retired Liberty Independent School District fifth grade teacher.
Survivors include her daughter, Anna Lee Haddox of Baytown; son, Forrest Dunn of Angleton; sisters, Ida Lee Hebert of Stowell and Ann McGowan of Beaumont; and four grandchildren.

Mable L. Galloway, 60, of Orange died June 20, 2000 at Memorial Hermann Baptist Orange Hospital.

A native of Jasper, she lived in Orange 30 years and was a retired Orange Child Development Center cook.

Dr. John T. "Doc’’ Gardner, 72, of Beaumont died June 22, 2000 at his residence.
A memorial service will be at 2 p.m. Saturday at Kelley-Watkins Funeral Home. His remains will be donated to the University of Texas Medical Branch at Galveston.
A native of Beaumont, he was a retired dermatologist and a U.S. Navy veteran.

A native of Battle Creek, Mich., he lived in Vidor many years and was a self-employed paint and body shop owner.

Vernon Killian, 79, of Nederland died June 22, 2000 at Christus St. Elizabeth Hospital.
Funeral will be at 2 p.m. Sunday at Broussard’s Mortuary in Nederland with burial at Memory Gardens Cemetery in Nederland. Visitation will be from 6 to 9 p.m. Saturday at the mortuary.
A native of Hot Springs, Ark., he lived in the Nederland and Port Arthur areas for 55 years and was a retired Texaco Port Arthur supervisor and a World War II U.S. Army veteran.

A native of Ashdown, Ark., he lived in Beaumont 37 years and was a retired Burrough’s Corp. branch manager. He was also a World War II U.S. Army veteran.
