Donald Ray Ardoin, 46, of Beaumont died April 6, 2001, at Christus St. Elizabeth Hospital.
Funeral will be at 2:30 p.m. Saturday at Calvary Mortuary with burial at Greenlawn Cemetery. A quiet hour will be from 1:30 to 2:30 p.m. Saturday at the mortuary.
He was a native and longtime resident of Beaumont.
Survivors include his father, Leroy Ardoin Sr. of Beaumont; sons, Donald Ray Ardoin Jr. of Beaumont and Donald Ray Ardoin Jr. of Houston; brothers, Leroy Ardoin Jr. of Los Angeles, Kenneth Ardoin of Wichita, Kan., and Terry Ardoin and Darrell Ardoin, both of Beaumont; and sisters, Shirley Brewer, Geraldine Semien, Pat Owens, Sandra Ardoin, Gwendolyn Ardoin, Devena Bell and Pam Simpson, all of Beaumont, and Erlinda Ardoin of Los Angeles.

Robert B. Batchelor, 86, of Lake Jackson died April 10, 2001, at Brazosport Hospital.
Funeral will be at 3 p.m. Thursday at E.E. Stringer Funeral Home in Kirbyville with burial at Kirbyville Cemetery. Visitation will begin at 9 a.m. Thursday at the funeral home.
A native of Call, he lived in Lake Jackson most of his life and was retired from Dow Chemical Co., the City of Beaumont and most recently as the executive director of Texas Water Utilities Asso.
Survivors include his brother, Bill Batchelor of Beaumont; sisters, Zella Mae McDonald of Nederland, Lois McKee of Lake Jackson, Dorothy Walker of Crystal Beach, Lavelle Hogan of Toledo Bend and Cindy Aicklen and Bobby Thompson, both of Fort Worth; three grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.

Jerry Blueitt, 88, of Crosby died April 6, 2001, at Allen Brooks Health Care Center in Baytown.
A memorial service will be at 7 p.m. today at Shiloh Baptist Church in Barrett Station. Funeral will be at 1 p.m. Thursday at Lily of the Valley Baptist Church in Magnolia Springs with burial at Magnolia Springs Cemetery under the direction of Walker Funeral Home in Crosby.
A native of Jasper, he lived in Crosby many years and was retired from Shell Refinery.
Survivors include his wife, Vera Mae Blueitt of Houston; sons, Jerry E. Blueitt of Crosby and Anthony Blueitt of Houston; brother, Willie Blueitt of Magnolia Springs; sisters, Corena Bennett of Galveston, Mary Booker of Beaumont, Willie Roberson of Baytown and Ada Phillips of Magnolia Springs; five grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.

Mattie Mary Brill, 89, of Beaumont died April 9, 2001, at her residence.
A graveside service will be at 10 a.m. today at Magnolia Cemetery under the direction of Forest Lawn Funeral Home.
A lifelong resident of Beaumont, she was a homemaker.
Survivors include nieces, Eleanor Hollister of Bay City, and Mary Miller, Peggy Brenner and Elaine Bower, all of Pennsylvania; and nephews, Jerry Zoller of Houston and Jim Miller of Washington state.

A native of Geneva, she lived in Los Angeles 50 years before moving to Beaumont seven years ago.
Survivors include her son, Alfred R. Dennis of Beaumont; daughter, Shirley Dennis Richards of Beaumont; sister, Vina Lorine Cook of Orange; brother, Draton Wright of Compton, Calif.; eight grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; and three great-great-grandchildren.

Moses DeVault, 83, of Beaumont died April 9, 2001, at his residence.

A native of Independence, he lived in Beaumont 64 years and was a retired Mobil Oil equipment operator.
Survivors include his wife, Agnes DeVault of Beaumont; sons, Moses DeVault Jr., Howard DeVault, Anthony Champaigne and Larry Champaigne, all of Beaumont; daughters, Delores Sauls of Colorado Springs, Colo., and Dorothy Boxie of Beaumont; brother, James DeVault of Beaumont; 15 grandchildren; and 16 great-grandchildren.
Marjorie Ellen Guidry
Marjorie Ellen Guidry, 81, of Vidor died April 5, 2001, at Memorial Hermann Baptist Beaumont Hospital.
A graveside service will be at 10 a.m. Thursday at Greenlawn Memorial Park in Groves under the direction of Broussard’s on McFaddin.
A native of London, England, she lived in the Beaumont and Port Arthur areas 56 years and was Christus St. Elizabeth Hospital gift shop manager and a Royal Air Force veteran.
Survivors include her nephew, Michael Guidry of Baton Rouge; and two granddaughters.

Donald Horton Sr., 59, of Orange died April 8, 2001, at his residence.
Arrangements were handled by Claybar Funeral Home in Orange.
A native of Earlimart, Calif., and a former resident of Delano, Calif., he lived in Orange 11 years and was a McCall Boat Co. boat cook and engineer.
Survivors include sons, Donnie Horton of Orange and Dennis Horton of McComb, Miss.; daughter, Deborah Lesly of Porterville, Calif.; brother, Leon Horton of Lancaster, Calif.; and five grandchildren.

A native of Broussard, La., she lived in Port Arthur 54 years.

A native of Columbia, La., and a former longtime resident of Beaumont, he lived in Town Bluff six years and was a retired self-employed mechanic.
Survivors include Richard and Brenda Johnston of Town Bluff.
R.Q. Perkins
R.Q. Perkins, 76, of Jasper died April 9, 2001, at Christus St. Elizabeth Hospital in Beaumont.
Funeral will be at 10 a.m. Thursday at Hillcrest Baptist Church in Jasper with burial at Davis Cemetery in Beulah Springs under the direction of Stringer & Griffin Funeral Home in Jasper. Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. today at the funeral home.
A native of Nacogdoches and a longtime resident of Jasper, he was owner and operator of Perkins Furniture and Appliance. He taught in the Jasper Vocational Agriculture Program and was a World War II U.S. Army Air Corps veteran.
Survivors include his wife, Rosa Lee Perkins of Jasper; son, Randy Perkins of Jasper; daughter, Carolyn Foster of Jasper; sister, Jimmie Skillern of Woden; and three grandchildren.

A native of Blue Ridge, Ga., she lived in Nederland more than 50 years and was a homemaker.
Survivors include her husband, Ernest A. Seitz of Nederland; son, Marlin Charles Seitz of Colorado; daughter, Brenda Gale Boudreaux of Fannett; sister, Betty Lou Whitehead of Lumberton; three grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
