A longtime resident of Sour Lake, she was a retired real estate agent.
Survivors include her husband, Windol E. Phelps of Sour Lake; daughter, Windi Anne Fourdraine of West Chesterfield, N.H.; son, Michael Eston Phelps of Sour Lake; sister, Dora Wheeler of Sour Lake; and two grandchildren.

Maud M. Rutledge, 83, of Orange died June 18, 2000 at Memorial Hermann Baptist Orange Hospital.

A lifelong resident of Orange, she was a homemaker.

A native of Lindale, he lived in Groves many years and was a retired Neches Butane operator and a World War II U.S. Army veteran.
Survivors include his wife, Ruth Tharp of Groves; daughters, Jane Landry of Beaumont and Judy Tharp of Groves; brothers, James Tharp of Dallas and Harold Tharp of Alamogardo, Mexico; two grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.

He lived in Wildwood many years.

A lifelong resident of Orange, he was a retired machinist in the shipbuilding industry and a Korean War U.S. Army veteran.

A native of Vermilion Parish, La., he lived in Beaumont many years and was a boilermaker and a Korean War veteran.
Survivors include his wife, Mary Lou Bertrand of Beaumont; daughter, Jo Ann Barkley of Palm Beach, Fla.; son, Richard Bertrand of Vidor; sisters, Edna Martinez of Thibodaux, La., Una Henry of Crowley, La., Betty Langford of Mauriceville, Rosella Sarver of Rayne, La., and Stella Robideaux of San Antonio; brothers, Velia Bertrand Jr. of Biloxi, Miss., and Alex Bertrand and Eckel Bertrand, both of Crowley; and five grandchildren.
