Charles Hensch
Funeral services for Charles Henry “Charlie” Hensch, 87, of East Bernard, will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday at First United Methodist Church in East Bernard with Rev. Michael Holcomb officiating. Burial will follow in the Methodist Cemetery in East Bernard.
Mr. Hensch died June 4, 2005 in Wharton. He was born on Jan. 22, 1918, in East Bernard, the son of the late Herbert Christian Hensch and Wanda Otto.
He was a resident of East Bernard for most of his life and a member of First United Methodist Church in East Bernard. Mr. Hensch and Vernell Cecil were married on Dec. 20, 1939, in East Bernard. He worked as an electrical foreman for Houston Light & Power for 44 years until he retired in 1981. He was a member of the IBEW Electrical Workers Union B 66. He enjoyed the Astros, deer hunting, wood working and his family.
Survivors include his wife of 64 years, Vernell Hensch of East Bernard; daughters and sons-in-law; Linda and Lee Evett of Pearland, Wanda and Al Wilson and Sandra and Jim May, all of East Bernard; sisters; Evelyn Koym of Orchard and Dorothy Yoakum of Houston; 11 grandchildren and 14
great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by two sisters, Ruth Reimer and Cordie Marsh.

Fannie Krueger
Funeral services for Fannie Mae Krueger, 80, of Hye, and a former resident of Wharton, will be held at 10 a.m. Thursday at the chapel of Wharton Funeral Home.
Friends may call for visitation from 5 to 9 p.m. Wednesday at the Wharton Funeral Home.
Elizabeth Senf
Elizabeth Senf, precious and loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and friend, slipped away quietly and peacefully shortly after midnight June 3, 2005, to be with her Lord. On this same day in 1939, she was united in marriage to Robert V. Senf Sr. They were able to celebrate their 66th wedding anniversary in heaven together.
Mrs. Senf was born on June 29, 1919, in Pulaski, Tenn., to Ollie Virgil Matthews and Willie Elizabeth Adams Matthews. She was a resident of Iago for many years and a member of Matthew Street Church of Christ in Bay City.
She endured many hardships, especially during the Great Depression and World War II, but was always smiling and happy. She was a Godly woman, whose faith in God gave her life meaning. She shared His love and spread the gospel to everyone at every given opportunity.
Mrs. Senf gave life to seven children. Times were hard, but they always had clean clothes to wear and plenty to eat. She could stretch a can of tuna fish a long way, but you had better be there when she took a batch of cookies out of the oven. Mrs. Senf arose early and stayed up late, working hard to raise her family. She always said, “You gotta be tough”. She always had a special time to love each of her children individually. As her children grew into adulthood, her faith was indelible and remained in them. The life she lived leaves a dazzling testimony to her amazing love of God.
Mrs. Senf was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Robert V. Senf Sr.; son, Robert V. “Scooter” Senf Jr.; grandson, Rhett Barten; son-in-law, James Simons; and three brothers, William, Ed and Gene Matthews.
Left to cherish her memory are her children, Billie Jean Clendennen and husband, Valton, of Huntsville; Bobette Barten and husband, John, of Columbus; Elaine Rolf and husband, L.J., of Boling; Jackie Hodge and husband, George, of Wharton, Richard Senf and wife, Glenna, of Boling; and Jeri Simons of Conroe; also, her grandchildren, Keith Clendennen, Judi Fetters, Susan Cryer, Steve Clendennen, Shane Barten, Kari Moeller, Brandon Barten, Todd Barten, Teri Lynn Rolf, Tiffany Winkelmann, Tommy Rolf, Sandy Williams, Wayne Hodge, Sammy Hodge, Rick Senf, Robert Senf, Kimberly Lamascus, Sheila Simons and J. R. Simons; and 23 great-grandchildren.
Funeral services were held at 10 a.m. today, Tuesday, June 7, at Wharton Funeral Home with Mike Gibson officiating and Bill Edwards assisting. Interment followed in the Wharton City Cemetery.
Pallbearers were all her loving grandsons.

Lillie Buxkemper
Funeral mass for Lillie Prasifka Buxkemper, 88, was held Friday at Holy Cross Catholic Church in East Bernard with Rev. Don Ruppert officiating. Entombment followed at Holy Cross Mausoleum. A rosary was recited Thursday at Holy Cross Catholic Church.
Mrs. Buxkemper died May 31, 2005, in Wharton. She was born July 23, 1916, in Fayetteville to Joe and Frances Sula Prasifka.
Survivors include son and daughter-in-law, Frank and Gloria Buxkemper; two grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Frank Buxkemper; her parents; granddaughter, Karen Marie Buxkemper; brother, Lee Edward Prasifka; and sister, Josie Poessel.

Charlie Davis
Funeral services for Charlie “Snake” Davis will be held at 11 a.m. today, Saturday, at Mount Gilead Baptist Church in Egypt with Rev. R. Jackson and Rev. L.D. Johnson officiating. Burial will follow.
Survivors include sisters and brother-in-law, Ida Davis and Nellie and Harbert Moses; brothers, Robert Davis, Coy Davis and Harry Davis; and daughter, Lawarn Dotson.

Miguel Hernandez
Memorial services for Miguel A. Hernandez, 42, of Wharton, will be held at a later date.
Mr. Hernandez died June 2, 2005, at Gulf Coast Medical Center. He was born Feb. 13, 1963, in El Campo.
He was a laborer working in carpentry.
Survivors include daughters, LaToya Renee Hernandez and Helen Valentina Hernandez, both of West Virginia, and Ashley Hernandez of Bay City; sons, Matthew Hernandez of West Virginia and Miguel A. Hernandez Jr. of Bay City; brothers, Jose Hernandez and Frank Hernandez, both of Wharton; sister, Maria Delores Ramirez of Eagle Lake; and one grandchild.

Evelyn King
Funeral services for Evelyn Faye King, 58, of Richwood, will be held at 11:30 a.m. today, Saturday, June 4, at M.L.K. Church of Christ, at 1908 MLK in Wharton, with Bro. Eddie Brinkley officiating. Burial will follow in Bowden Cemetery in Wharton.
Mrs. Kind died Wednesday, May 31, 2005, in Angleton. She was a member of Westside Church of Christ in Angleton where Christianity was her first life and she served faithfully in the church. Mrs. King was also a Sunday School teacher, Vacation Bible School teacher and loved to make programs.
She is survived by her husband, Charlie King Jr. of Richwood; sons and daughter-in-law, Christopher Charles and Judy King of Lake Jackson and Rodney O’Dell King of Richwood; daughters and sons-in-law, Sylvia and John Perez Jr. of Brazoria and Charlean and Bro. Murray Griggs Jr. of West Columbia; brothers and sister-in-law, Bob Chester and Ruth Hughes Jr. of Corpus Christi and George Washington Hughes of Wharton; sisters and brothers-in-law, Lola Marie and Leon Krushall of Boling, Delores Lee and Helen Citizen of Missouri City, Mary Elizabeth and Mario Jimenez and Linda Lathon, all of Wharton, and Rosa and Spence Chavis of Plano; father-in-law and mother-in-law, Charlie and Lillie Bell King Sr. of Houston; 13 grandchildren and a host of relatives and friends.
Active pallbearers will be Cliff Harris Sr., Trent Aubrey, James Scarlett, John Citizen Jr., Larry Lathon Sr., Franklin “Main” Scarlett Jr., Darryl Scarlett, Dale Williams and Spence Chavis.

Patricia Nesbitt
Patricia Clements Nesbitt, passed away May 31, 2005, at the age of 76 after a lengthy illness with lung cancer.
Mrs. Nesbitt was preceded in death by her husband, Lloyd Aurthur Nesbitt, and her mother and father.
She is survived by her daughter, Brenda Nesbitt; grandchildren, Michael Tabor and Garrett Tabor, whom she loved and cherished dearly; brother, Stephen; and sisters, Rosemary and Helen.
The family would like to extend their gratitude to all those who assisted in her well being.
A graveside service will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Saturday, June 4, 2005, in Memorial Oaks Cemetery, 13001 Katy Freeway, Houston, TX 77079.

Mrs. Senf died June 3, 2005, in Boling.
John Marshall
Funeral services for Rev. John H. Marshal of Fulton, Mo., 55, will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday at Gooden-Hatton Funeral Home chapel. Burial will follow in Bowden Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 6 to 9 p.m. Monday at the funeral home.
Rev. Marshall died May 25, 2005. He was born May 31, 1949, in Homer, La., to Johnny and Edyme Marshall.
In 1978 Rev. Marshall married Vinnie Mae Payne. He pursued his education at Perkins School of Theology at Southern Methodist University in Dallas. He graduated with honors in 1979. He served as a minister in Missouri at churches in Springfield, Kansas City, Marshall and Wellsville. Until his illness he served at St. Luke United Methodist Church in Mexico, Mo., Paris Fork UMC in Guthrie, Mo., and St. James UMC in Fulton, Mo.
Survivors include wife, Vinnie Marshall; son, Jason Henri; sisters and brother-in-laws, Patricia and James Combs of Minden, La.; Lynda Haynes of Shreveport, La., Retha and Gerald Barnard of Reserve, La. and Rebecca and Clarence Ferguson of Homer, La.; numerous nieces and nephews, great-nieces.
Jack Hausler
Funeral services for Jack Sidney Hausler, 71, of Boling, were held Saturday at Wharton Funeral Home with Rev. Skip Holman officiating. Burial followed in Evergreen Memorial Park Cemetery with military honors provided by American Legion Post No. 87 of Wharton.
Mr. Hausler died May 18, 2005, at his residence following an extended illness. He was born July 24, 1933, in Rosenberg, son of late Hebert Hausler and Neva Hand Hausler.
He was a former resident of Wharton before moving to Boling, where he has resided for the past 20 years. Mr. Hausler married Shirley Ray Taylor on Feb. 2, 1959, in Odessa. He was a self-employed rancher. Mr. Hausler held various jobs including, Texas Gulf Sulphur, Security Guard for Wharton County Junior College, LCRA and The Western Company. Mr. Hausler was Baptist by faith.
Survivors include his wife, Shirley Hausler of Boling; daughters, June Kristynik and husband, Stanley, of Bay City, Judy Malone and husband, David Scott, of Ashwood and Jackie Caldwell of Angleton; sons, Dutch Ray Hausler and wife, Margie, of Lakewood, Calif.; sister, Dorothy Fowler of Weatherford; brother, Roy Lee Hausler and wife, Mary, of Weatherford; 14 grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.

Elsie Selensky
Funeral services for Elsie Selensky, 89, of Glen Flora, were held at 10 a.m. Tuesday at St. John’s Catholic Church in New Taiton with Rev. Joseph Koebel officiating. Burial followed in St. John’s Cemetery.
Mrs. Selensky died May 21, 2005, at her home. She was born Sept. 27, 1915, in Yoakum to the late James Issac and Cora Perkins Long.
She was a homemaker and longtime volunteer at Avalon Place.
Survivors include son, John T. Selensky of Glen Flora; daughters, Mary Curry of Kingwood and Katherine Cudd of Broadus; eight grandchildren and four great-grandchildren; sister, Thelma Woodhouse of Garland; brothers, Durwood Long of Garland, James Long of Tampa, Fla., and Charles Long of Garland. She was preceded in death by her husband, John Pete Selensky.

Cora Thompson
Funeral services for Cora Mae Thompson, 92, of Wharton, will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday at New Faith Church in Wharton. Burial will follow in Powell Point Cemetery in Kendleton. Visitation will be from 7 to 9 p.m. Friday at New Faith Church.
Mrs. Thompson died May 18, 2005, at Gulf Coast Medical Center. She was born Feb. 18, 1913, in La Grange to George Fields and Henretta Harris.
She was a housewife all of her life.
Survivors include daughters, Betty Jean Harris, Minnie Pearl Jackson, Barbara Jean Navarra and Emma Jean Byars, all of Wharton; sons, Isadore Thompson Jr. and Clifford Thompson Sr., both of Wharton, Lehonest Thompson and LeRoy David Thompson, both of Kendleton; sister, Caroline Worlds of Houston; 34 grandchildren, 61 great-grandchildren and 31 great-great-grandchildren.
