NAVASOTA — Graveside services for Hattie Lou Horton, 83, of Navasota and formerly of Shiro are set for 10 a.m. Monday at the Shiro Cemetery.
The Rev. Ross Poteet of the First United Methodist Church in Navasota will officiate.
Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Sunday at Nobles Funeral Chapel in Navasota.
Mrs. Horton died Friday in Conroe.
She was born in Shiro and was a homemaker. She was a Baptist.
Survivors include a son and daughter-in-law, James and Garlene Horton of Navasota; a daughter and son-in-law, Betty and Marshall Allen of Conroe; a brother, J.C. Maywald of Shiro; two sisters, Lucille Price of Houston and Helen Alley of Willis; five grandchildren, 16 great-grandchildren and numerous other relatives.
Missy Lewis

SEGUIN — Services for Missy Lewis, 22, of Seguin are set for 2 p.m. Sunday at Goetz Memorial Chapel in Seguin.
The Rev. George Schultz will officiate.
Ms. Lewis died Thursday in Bryan.
Survivors include her parents, Tom Lewis and Patsy Lewis, both of Seguin; two brothers and a sister-in-law, Jason Lewis of Irving and Justin and Courtney Lewis of Aquilla; and numerous aunts, uncles and cousins.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Kingsbury Baptist Church in Kingsbury.
Mary Doris McGill

MADISONVILLE — Services for Mary Doris McGill, 86, of Brookshire and formerly of North Zulch are set for 11 a.m. Monday at the Willowhole Chapel in North Zulch.
Burial will be in Willowhole Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 2 to 8 p.m. Sunday at the Madisonville Funeral Home in Madisonville.
Mrs. McGill died Friday in Brookshire.
She lived most of her life in North Zulch and resided in Brookshire for two years. She was a former member of the First Baptist Church in North Zulch and was a member of the Central Baptist Church in Pinehurst.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Ambers Carl McGill.
Survivors include a son and daughter-in-law, Frank and Pamela McGill of Long Beach, Calif.; two daughters and sons-in-law, Shirley and Richard Rucker of Katy and Jimmie and Joe Roberts of Magnolia; a sister, Alberta Boenigk of North Zulch; six grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
Merle Loyd McWhorter

MADISONVILLE — Graveside services for Merle Loyd McWhorter, 72, of Lake Jackson are set for 2:30 p.m. Monday at the Willowhole Cemetery in North Zulch.
The Rev. Don Semonski will officiate.
Arrangements are under the direction of J.M. Day Funeral Home in Madisonville.
Mr. McWhorter died Saturday at the Woodlake Nursing Home.
He was born in the Kikkapoo Creek community.
He was preceded in death by a daughter, Paulette Zwierske, and two sons, Stephen Wayne McWhorter and Jackie Lane McWhorter.
Survivors include a son and daughter-in-law, Loyd Dean and Rebecca McWhorter of Cat Spring; two sisters, Dorothy Williams of Midway and Lela Belle; six grandchildren and an aunt.

ROCKDALE — Services for Faye Morrison, 61, of Thorndale are set for 2 p.m. Tuesday at the Phillips & Luckey Funeral Home in Rockdale.
Bro. Randy Holtzclaw will officiate. Burial will be in the Lawrence Chapel Cemetery near Thorndale.
Mrs. Morrison died Wednesday in Richards Memorial Hospital in Rockdale.
She was born in Val Verde and lived in Thorndale for 22 years. She was a former resident of Deer Park. She was the owner and operator of a beauty salon and was a hair stylist.
She was preceded in death by a son, Darrell Gene Morrison.
Survivors include her husband, Edwin “Ed” Morrison of Thorndale; a son and daughter-in-law, David and Drema Morrison of Florence; two daughters and sons-in-law, Deborah and Barry Briggs of Rockdale and Deniece and Greg Scruggs of Thrall; four brothers and sisters-in-law, James and Maxine Dodd of Pflugerville, Bobby and Nelda Dodd of Elgin, Freddie and Renee Dodd of North Dakota and Ray and Jamie Dodd of Pasadena; and 11 grandchildren.
Madison ‘Matt’ Poston

VALLEY MILLS — Services for Madison “Matt” Poston, 36, of Bryan and formerly of Valley Mills are set for 10 a.m. Monday at the First United Methodist Church in Valley Mills.
The Rev. Lindsay Churchman will officiate. Burial will be in the Poston-Odle Cemetery near Valley Mills.
Visitation will be from 6 to 7 p.m. Sunday at Foss Funeral Home in Valley Mills.
Mr. Poston died Thursday in Bryan as the result of an auto accident.
He was employed by the U.S. Department of Agriculture in Bryan and was a 1995 graduate of Texas A&M University.
Survivors include his parents, Don and Kitty Poston of Valley Mills and Abby and Joe Birdwell of Cransfill Gap; a grandmother, Ruth Poston of Valley Mills; a sister and brother-in-law, Robin and Tony Tomchesson of Valley Mills; four step-brothers and three sisters-in-law, Kevin and Melinda Wolfe, Dale and Dawn Birdwell and Glenn and Jerri Bird, all of Austin, and David Wolfe of Tennessee; two step-sisters and brothers-in-law, Connie and David Robinett of Abilene and Terry and Jim Clements of Round Rock; three nieces, a nephew and numerous aunts, uncles, and other relatives.

He was born in Cameron and worked in the construction industry.

Howard Hilley

NAVASOTA — Services for Howard Hilley, 80, of Navasota are set for 10:30 a.m. Tuesday at Trinity Lutheran Church in Navasota.
The Rev. Donald Kasper of Trinity Lutheran Church will officiate. Burial will be in Oakland Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 8 a.m. to 9 p.m. Monday at Nobles Funeral Chapel in Navasota.
A prayer service will be at 7 p.m. Monday at the funeral home.
Mr. Hilley died Friday in College Station.
He was born in Anderson and was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church. He served in the U.S. Army Air Corps during World War II and was a life member of VFW Post 4006 in Navasota. He was retired from the Navasota Telephone Company and was a member of the Navasota Fishing Club.
Survivors include his wife, Dorothy Hilley of Navasota; two daughters and a son-in-law, Jan and Jimmy Holman of Navasota and Dorothy Kay Hilley of Okinawa, Japan; five sisters-in-law and two brothers-in-law, Mary Hilley of Groesbeck, Gertrude Hilley of Nederland, Texas, Harvey and Margaret Wehmeyer and Maurine Wehmeyer, all of Anderson, and Juanita and James Rhodes of Houston; two sisters, Esther Hilley of Navasota and Addine Brocksmidt of Kingwood; and a grandson.

He lived in Hearne for more than 20 years.

David W. Kranz

Memorial services for David W. Kranz, 47, of College Station are set for 2 p.m. Tuesday at the First Christian Church in Bryan.

Mr. Kranz died Saturday at his home.
He was a longtime resident of Bryan and was a member of Aldersgate United Methodist Church. He was employed in the maintenance department at Texas A&M University.
Survivors include a son, Christopher David Kranz of Lyford, Texas; a brother and sister-in-law, Edward D. Jr. and Janice Kranz of Wylie, Texas; his mother, Jacqueline Kranz of Bryan; a nephew; and two grand-nieces.

Mrs. Cates died Sunday in the College Station Medical Center.
She was born in the Sunshine community of Hamilton County and was a member of the Victory Temple Church. She worked in the garment manufacturing business as a seamstress for Patty of Texas and was a former employee of the Garner-Alvis Dry Good Store.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert Claude “Jack” Cates.
Survivors include three daughters and two sons-in-law, Carolyn Thompson of Waco, Laura Jo and Edward Henderson of College Station and Vivian Wynell Cates and Bobby Young of West Columbia, Texas; a son and daughter-in-law, Deaton and Jan Rigsby of Lubbock; 13 grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren; and five great-great-grandchildren.

ODESSA — Services for Marty Johnson, 44, of Odessa are set for 2 p.m. Tuesday at Sunset Memorial Chapel in Odessa.
Burial will be in Sunset Memorial Gardens.
Mr. Johnson died Friday at his home.
He was born in Abilene and lived in Odessa since 1980. He formerly lived in Pecos. He was the shop foreman at Big Texas Trailers for three years and worked for Beckners Chevron station for several years. He served in the U.S. Air Force and was a member of Northside Baptist Church.
Survivors include his wife, Lisa Johnson of Odessa; a son, Adam Johnson of Beaumont, Calif.; a daughter, Marisa Johnson of Odessa; his mother, Rowena Johnson; two brothers, Butch Johnson of Mineral Wells and Tracy Johnson of Bryan; and numerous aunts, uncles, cousins and nieces.
Anne Louise York Moehlman

Services for Anne Louise York Moehlman, 79, of Caldwell are set for 1:30 p.m. Thursday at Hillier Funeral Home in Bryan.

Visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m. Wednesday and from 10 a.m. to the time of the services Thursday at the funeral home.
Mrs. Moehlman died Sunday in Burleson St. Joseph Health Center.
She was born in Bloomburg, Texas, and lived in Caldwell 20 years. She was retired as a secretary with Farm & Home and worked as a teacher at the Houston School for the Deaf. She was a member of the First Presbyterian Church of Caldwell.
Survivors include her husband, Roger Moehlman of Caldwell; a son and daughter-in-law, Lewis and Cathy Moehlman of St. Louis, Mo.; a daughter and son-in-law, LouAnne and Dale Sinor of Pasadena, Calif.; a sister, Della York of Dallas; two sisters-in-law, Dolly York of Fort Worth and Ferra Lee York of Omaha, Texas; five grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.
