MIDWAY Services for Graydon Charlton Starns, 79, of Midway are set for 2:30 p.m. Wednesday at J.M. Day Funeral Home Chapel in Madisonville. The Rev. Lon McVeigh will officiate. Burial will be in the Midway City Cemetery.
Mr. Starns died Monday at Madison St. Joseph Regional Health Center.
He was born in Midway. He served in the U.S. Army during World War II and retired from the Texas Department of Criminal Justice as a corrections officer after 15 years.
Survivors include his wife, Libby Starns of Midway; a daughter and son-in-law, Linda and Tommy Allen of New Braunfels; a brother and sister-in-law, Cecil and Dorothy Starns of Midway; one granddaughter and numerous other relatives and friends.
James Woodson Hughes

LORENA, Texas Services for James Woodson Hughes, 55, of Lorena are set for 10 a.m. Thursday at Strickland Funeral Home Chapel in Somerville. The Rev. Mark Pedersen will officiate. Burial will be in Oaklawn Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 3 to 7 p.m. Wednesday and from 8 a.m. until service time on Thursday at the funeral home.
Mr. Hughes died Monday at his home.
He was born in Beaumont. He graduated from Somerville High School and Blinn Junior College in Brenham and Bryan and received his associate of arts degree. He attended Texas Tech University in Lubbock. He served in Vietnam.
Survivors include his wife, Edna Hughes of Lorena; his father and wife, Howard and Kathryn Hughes of Somerville; a brother and sister-in-law, David and Jan Hughes of Austin; three stepchildren and spouses, Dewey and Gina Jackson, Lois and Randall Rogers and Janet and Arnold Ramsey; 11 grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.

Mary Onna Riley

Graveside service for Mary Onna Riley, 83, of Bryan is set for 2 p.m. Thursday at College Station Cemetery. Rev. Charles Mason will officiate.
Visitation will be from 8:30 a.m. to noon on Thursday at Hillier Funeral Home in Bryan.
Mrs. Riley died Tuesday at St. Joseph Regional Health Center.
She was a retired nurses aide.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Bill Riley.
Survivors include her companion, Rufus Kirk Sr. of Bryan; a son and daughter-in-law, Jim and Peggy Riley of Branson West, Mo.; a sister, Vivian Martin of Waco; three grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
Mary Webber

Services for Mary Webber, 93, of Bryan are set for 11 a.m. Thursday at New Chapel Baptist Church in Bryan. The Rev. V.A. Haynes of New Chapel Baptist Church and the Rev. C.W. Stewart of Mt. Olive Baptist Church will officiate. Burial will be in Oakwood Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. Wednesday at Jones-Washington Mortuary.
Mrs. Webber died Saturday at St. Joseph Regional Health Center.
She was born in Robertson County. She lived in Bryan for 20 years. She was a retired cook. Mrs. Webber was a member of New Chapel Baptist Church.
Survivors include a daughter, Bernice Nelms of Bryan; a brother, Jim Seymore of Hearne; eight grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren; and 10 great-great-grandchildren.
Lou Hertenberger

NAVASOTA Services for Lou Hertenberger, 92, of Navasota are set for 10 a.m. Thursday at Christ Our Light Catholic Church. The Rev. Paul G. Felix will officiate. Burial will be in Oakland Cemetery in Navasota.
Arrangements are under the direction of Lindley-Robertson-Holt Funeral Home in Navasota.
Visitation will be from 1 to 4 p.m. at the funeral home and 5 to 8 p.m. at the church on Wednesday and 8 a.m. to service time Thursday at the church.
A parish vigil service will be at 7 p.m. Wednesday at Christ Our Light Catholic Church.
Mr. Hertenberger died Monday at College Station Medical Center.
He was born in Milam County and resided in Navasota since 1941. He was a retired owner of Lou Hertenberger Chevrolet-Buick in Navasota. He attended St. Edwards University. He was a line coach at Rice University from 1930-40, coaching their first two Southwest Conference Championship teams. He was a life member of Texas Red Angus Association, Navasota Kiwanis Club, Grimes County Chamber of Commerce and Grimes County Hospital Board.
In 1990, he and his wife were named Grimes County Citizens of the Decade.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Margaret McCarthy Hertenberger.
Survivors include a son, Bill Hertenberger of Navasota; a daughter and son-in-law, Mary Lou and Bruce Laubach of College Station; three grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.

Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. Thursday and 8:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. Friday at the funeral home. Mrs. Vaughn died at her home in College Station.
She was born in Ennis, Texas, and lived in College Station since 1979. She was a homemaker and member of Central Baptist Church.
She was preceded in death by her husband, James Edward Vaughn Sr.

Visitation will be from 8:30 to 9:30 a.m. Friday at the funeral home.
Mr. Flores died Tuesday at Manor Oaks Nursing Center in Rockdale.
He was born in San Patricio County and lived in Rockdale since 1989. He had lived in Port Lavaca, Texas. He was a concrete finisher.
Survivors include his wife, Hilaria Flores of Rockdale; four sons, Amalio Flores, Alonzo Flores and Joe Flores, all of Grand Prairie, and Onofre Joe Flores of Dallas; five daughters, Ramona Sepulua, Olivia Rodriguez and Maria Lucio, all of Garland, Texas, and Janie Parra and Esmeralda Flores, both of Dallas; and numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be from 10 a.m. to 9 p.m. Friday, with the family present from 6 to 9 p.m. and from 9 a.m. until service time on Saturday at the funeral home.
Mrs. Pack died Wednesday in Houston.
She was born in Trinity County and attended school in Pennington, Texas. She was a homemaker. She was a resident of Robertson County for the past 20 years and was formerly of Bryan. She was of the Church of Christ faith.
Survivors include her husband, Norman Sam Pack of Shiloh community; a son, Russell Richardson of La Porte, Texas; a daughter and son-in-law, Denise and Henry Jones of Weatherford, Texas; two stepsons and a daughter-in-law, Tommy Pack of Grapevine and Albert and Debbie Pack of Deer Park, Texas; a stepdaughter and son-in-law, Charissa and David Vilbig of Grapevine; two sisters, Agnes Wright of La Porte and Dora Brandt of Pasadena, Texas; eight grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; and numerous other relatives.

Mr. Harrison died Wednesday at his home in Bryan.
He was born in Bryan. He served in the U.S. Army from 1953-55 and was a member of DAV and American Legion Post No. 159. He was a member of Central Baptist Church in Bryan.

Harrison of Bryan; a daughter and son-in-law, Debbie and Dale Grassmann of Sugar Land; a brother and sister-in-law, Roland and Anette Harrison of Bryan; five sisters and two brothers-in-law, Lila Wayne and Helen and Joe Lero, all of Bryan, Lorraine Chaffin and Mary Ellen Wine, both of Lubbock, and Mattie and Jody Smith of Camp Creek; and one granddaughter.

Mr. Wadlington died Tuesday at Richards Memorial Hospital in Rockdale.
He was born in Milano. He lived in Milano and Sand Grove in Milam County until 1950, then moved to Forest Grove community, where he lived until his death. He was a farmer and rancher. He attended school at Sand Grove and was a member of Forest Grove Christian Church. He served in the U.S. Army during World War II and received a five-star battle pin.
Survivors include his wife, Doris Wadlington of Rockdale; three sons and a daughter-in-law, Gary Wadlington, Charles and Sheila Wadlington, and Carman Wadlington, all of Rockdale; two daughters and sons-in-law, Karen and David Taylor of Caldwell and Dana and Mark Fatheree of Rockdale; eight grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
