CAMERON — Services for Magdalena Polzer, 93, of Bryan and formerly of Cameron are set for 10 a.m. Monday at St. Monica’s Catholic Church in Cameron.
The Rev. Tom Hanus will officiate. Burial will be in the church cemetery .
A rosary will be recited at 6:30 p.m. Sunday at Marek-Burns-Laywell Funeral Home in Cameron.
Mrs. Polzer died Friday in a Bryan nursing home.
She was born in Cameron and was a member of St. Monica’s Catholic Church.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Stephen Polzer.
Survivors include five sons, Lawrence Polzer of Bryan, Benard Polzer of College Station, Wilfred Polzer of Daggett, Mich., Eugene Polzer of Caldwell and Stephen Polzer of Lewisville, Texas; three brothers, Willie Moraw of Cameron, August Moraw of Bossier City, La., and Albert Moraw of New Port Richey, Fla.; 18 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren.
Ronalda Farris Quilter
Nov. 12, 1913 — Feb. 22, 2001
MADISONVILLE — Services for Ronalda Farris Quilter, 87, of Madisonville are set for 10 a.m. Monday at the J.M. Day Funeral Chapel in Madisonville.
The Rev. Dick White and Lanier Stevens will officiate. Burial will be at 3 p.m. Monday in the pavilion at Grace Memorial Park in Alta Loma, Texas.
Visitation will be from 3 to 5 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home.
Mrs. Quilter died Thursday in Madison St. Joseph Health Center.
She was born in Madisonville and was a member of the First United Methodist Church of Madisonville. Prior to her retirement, she worked as a supervisor in communications for the telephone company.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Jerry Leon Quilter, and a son, Ronald Charles Quilter.
Survivors include three cousins and numerous other relatives.
Odell Elizabeth Schultz
March 19, 1924 — Feb. 22, 2001
Services for Odell Elizabeth Schultz, 76, of Bryan are set for 2 p.m. Sunday at Memorial Funeral Chapel in Bryan.
The Rev. Erich Schaefer will officiate. Burial will be in Prairie Lea Cemetery in Brenham.
Visitation will be from 5 to 9 p.m. Saturday and from 8 a.m. to the time of the services Sunday at the funeral home.
Mrs. Schultz died Thursday in St. Joseph Regional Health Center.
She was born in Washington County and was a member of St. Mary’s Catholic Church. She was president of the Bryan Women’s Auxiliary VFW for 12 years and the American Legion for one year. She was a member of the Sons of Hermann and the Shiloh Hall.
Survivors include her husband, Raymond “Ray” Schultz of Bryan; two sons and daughters-in-law, Raymond Jr. and Shirley Schultz of Brenham and Ronnie and Kathy Schultz of Bryan; three daughters and two sons-in-law, Betty Randermann of Brenham, Carolyn and James Grimm of Independence and Mary and Wallace Johnson of College Station; eight grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren.
Ethel LaRue Smith
April 6, 1907 — Feb. 22, 2001
MARLIN — Services for Ethel LaRue Smith, 93, of Bryan are set for 10 a.m. Monday at the Marlin Missionary Baptist Church in Marlin.
The Revs. Laura Burrell and Waylon Sias of Marlin Missionary Baptist Church will officiate. Burial will be in the Falls County Cemetery.
Visitation will be from noon to 8 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home.
Mrs. Smith died Thursday at her home.
She was born in Marlin and was a lifelong resident of Bryan. She was a retired school and piano teacher. She was a member of Zeta Phi Beta Sorority and Eastern Star. She was a member of Marlin Baptist Church for 70 years and Newst John Community Baptist Church in Bryan for five years.
She was preceded in death by her husband, the Rev. Aaron Smith Sr., and a son, Henry Walter Smith.
Survivors include three sons, Benjamin Walton of Engelwood, Colo., Aaron Smith Jr. of West Covina, Calif., and John Paul Smith of San Antonio; four daughters, Laura Petty Burrell of Bryan, Marjorie Greenwood of El Paso, Grace Winston of Mansfield, Texas, and Bettye Magee of Seat Pleasant, Maine; 26 grandchildren; 32 great-grandchildren; and three great-great-grandchildren.
Helen Wells

MARLIN — Services for Helen Wells, 70, of Calvert are set for 11 a.m. Saturday at the New Magnolia Baptist Church in Calvert.
Burial will be in Shiloh Cemetery in Hammond, Texas.
Arrangements are under the direction of Robertson Funeral Home in Marlin.
Mrs. Wells died Sunday at her home.
She was born in Hammond.
Survivors include three sons, Alvin of Bryan and Sammie and Curtis, both of Calvert; three daughters, Helen Jean, Sandra and Drenna, all of Calvert; a sister, Autrey Sneed of Philadelphia; a stepbrother, James Edwards of Sugar Land, Texas; 10 grandchildren and numerous other relatives.
Ellanor Annette Woods

CALDWELL — Services for Ellanor Annette Woods, 94, of Caldwell are set for 10 a.m. Monday at the Phillips & Luckey Funeral Home in Caldwell.

Mrs. Woods died Thursday in St. Joseph Regional Health Center.
She was born in Deanville and was a member of Elizabeth Lutheran Church. She was a retired school teacher.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Rudolph O. Woods.
Survivors include two sisters-in-law, Merle Kocurek of Granite Shoals, Texas, and Lona Potts of Wichita Falls; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Jo Ann Woodyard

She was born in Freestone County, Texas, and was a retired nurse.
Survivors include two sons, Thomas “Tommy” Woodyard of Texas City and Gerald “Jerry” Woodyard of Bryan; a sister, Mrs. H.E. Dysart of Bryan; five grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.

She was born in Brazos County and lived in Bryan for more than 50 years. She was a member of First Presbyterian Church.
Survivors include a son, Charles Siegert of Bryan; and two brothers, Henry Berka of Irving, and Louis Berka of Bryan.

Services for MaryLou “Lulu” Sanchez, 22, of Bryan are set for 2 p.m. Monday at Memorial Funeral Chapel in Bryan.

Visitation will be from 5 to 9 p.m. Sunday and from 8 a.m. to the time of the services Monday at Memorial Funeral Chapel in Bryan.
A prayer service will be at 7 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home.
Ms. Sanchez died Thursday in San Marcos.
She was a lifelong resident of Bryan.
Survivors include three children, Carlos Garcia Jr., Kayla Sanchez and Tiffany Sanchez, all of Bryan; her parents, Daniel Jr. and Beatrice Sanchez and Sara Lopez, all of Bryan; 11 brothers and sisters, Melody Lopez, Daniel Sanchez III, Shawn Sanchez, Juan Avila II, Jessica Lopez, Victoria Lopez, Yulisa Lopez, Jessie Lopez Jr., Micklo Portillo, Roxanne Sanchez and Frances Gutierrez, all of Bryan; her grandparents, Daniel and Lupe Sanchez and Maria Zavala, all of Bryan; a special aunt, Rosemary Hernandez of Bryan; and numerous uncles, aunts and cousins.
Emily Wright

Graveside services for Emily Wright, 82, of Bryan are set for 3 p.m. Sunday at Bryan City Cemetery.

Mrs. Wright died Thursday at her home after eight years of heart problems and Alzheimer’s.
She was born in Brazos County was a lifelong resident. She was a member of First Presbyterian Church.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Harris Wright.
Survivors include a son, Charles Siegert of Bryan; two brothers and a sister-in-law, Henry Berka of Irving, and Louis and Clara Berka of Bryan; a nephew and a great-nephew.
Jack Morse
March 7, 1932 — Feb. 20, 2001
EUREKA, Kan. — Services for Jack Morse, 68, of Bryan were held at 1 p.m. Saturday at the Campbell-Kelley Funeral Home in Eureka.
The Rev. Sonny Rice of Sealy, Texas, officiated. Burial was in Greenwood Cemetery.
Mr. Morse died Tuesday in Baptist Montclair Hospital in Birmingham, Ala.
He was born in Harrisburg, Ill., and spent his early years in Nevada, Missouri, Illinois and Kansas. He worked as a heavy equipment operator with Operator’s Union No. 101 of Kansas City, Mo., and started his own heavy equipment company in 1956, working with erosion control and highway projects. He served in the Seabee’s Reserve for many years and attained the rank of chief petty officer as a heavy equipment operating instructor. At the time of his death, he was developing mobile home parks in Texas and Missouri. He was a member of the Nevada Methodist Church and the Association of General Contractors.
Survivors include his wife, Hazel Morse of Bryan; three sons and daughters-in-law, Mike and Tammy Hughes of Marshfield, Mo., David and Donna Smith of Anniston, Ala., and Tom and Pat Morse of Bryan; a brother and sister-in-law, Warren and Marilyn Morse of Boonville, Mo.; five sisters-in-law and a brother-in-law, Virginia Rice, Fern and John Cook and Erma Rice, all of Eureka, and Marge Hoover and Jean Hughes, both of Wichita, Kan.; two grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
Memorials may be made in his name to Greenwood Cemetery in care of the funeral home.
