KILGORE, Texas — Services for Pauline “Polly” Donald, 72, of Liberty, Texas, will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday, December 12, 2000, at the Rader Funeral Home Chapel in Kilgore with the Reverend Bill Baker officiating. Burial will follow at Kilgore Cemetery. Mrs. Donald passed away Sunday, December 10, 2000 at Longview Regional Medical Center in Longview, Texas, after a lengthy illness.
She was born August 16, 1928, in Delhi, Louisiana, to the late Richard and Eunice Campbell. Mrs. Donald was a member of the Eastview Baptist Church in Kilgore. She was an active member of the Rebekah Sunday School Class. Mrs. Donald was a devoted homemaker, mother, grandmother and Sunday School teacher as well as having worked at Famous Fabric in Kilgore for a number of years.
She is survived by her husband, Clyde Donald of Liberty City, Texas; daughter and son-in-law, Diane and Cliff Willoughby of Corpus Christi, Texas; two sons and daughters-in-law, C.V. “Rick” and Kaye Donald of Prichett, Texas, and Randy T. and Bettye Donald of Bryan, Texas; eight grandchildren and spouses, Shane and Kim Donald of Gladewater, Texas, Bradley and Ann Donald of College Station, Texas, Stacey and Lindsay Britton of San Antonio, Texas, Amanda Willoughby of College Station, Texas, Terrell Donald of Bryan, Texas, Travis Donald of Bryan, Texas, Trenton Donald of Bryan, Texas, and Audrey Rae Donald of Bryan, Texas; five great-grandchildren, Alexis Donald, Wyatt Donald, August Donald, Brodey Donald and Cierra Donald.
Her son, Mickey Donald, and infant daughter, Pamela Donald, preceded her in death.

Roger Clyde Hines

NORMANGEE — Services for Roger Clyde Hines, 69, of Normangee are set for 11 a.m. Tuesday at the Ten Mile Baptist Church in Madison County.
Bro. Vernon Powell of Ten Mile Baptist Church will officiate. Burial will be in the Ten Mile Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Monday at Cozart Funeral Home in Normangee.
Mr. Hines died Sunday in Madison St. Joseph Health Center.
He was born in the Mecca community of Madison County and was a lifelong resident of Normangee. He was retired after 31 years with Lilly Dairy.
Survivors include his wife, Doris Hines of Normangee; three daughters and two sons-in-law, Dorothy Wells of North Zulch, Pam and Jimmy Phillips and Donna and Tim Sikorski, all of Normangee; five grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
Walter Korth Sr.

BRENHAM — Services for Walter Korth Sr., 94, of Brenham are set for 2 p.m. Tuesday at Memorial Oaks Chapel in Brenham.
The Rev. Roger Semmler will officiate. Burial will be in Eben Ezer Lutheran Church Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Monday at the funeral home.
Mr. Korth died Friday at his home.
He was born in Washington County and was a Lutheran.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Cora Stegmenn Korth; and a son, Howard Korth.
Survivors include a son and daughter-in-law, Walter Jr. and Carolyn Korth of Brenham; two daughters and sons-in-law, Ruth Lois and Herbert Adams of Smiley, Texas, and Cora Lee and J.F. Naumann of Brenham; a daughter-in-law, Judy Rudloff of Brenham; a brother and sister-in-law, Edwin and Annie Korth of Brenham; seven grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; and six great-great-grandchildren.
Fred Wood Maxwell

FRANKLIN — Services for Fred Wood Maxwell, 84, of Franklin are set for 2 p.m. Tuesday at the McCauley Funeral Home Chapel in Franklin.
James Sterling of the Franklin Church of Christ will officiate. Burial will be in West Boone Cemetery in Robertson County.
Visitation will be from 6 to 9 p.m. Monday at the funeral home.
Mr. Maxwell died Saturday in Marlin, Texas.
He was born in the West Boone community of Robertson County and was a lifelong resident of Robertson County. He was a self-employed rancher and served in the U.S. Army Air Corps during World War II.
Survivors include two sisters, Johnnie Gillam of Wharton, Texas, and Mary Louise Carter of Houston; a brother and sister-in-law, Ray and Sue Maxwell of Franklin; and numerous nieces and nephews.
James Hugh Stewart
Feb. 13, 1916 — Dec. 9, 2000
ROCKDALE — Services for James Hugh Stewart, 84, formerly of Rockdale are set for 3 p.m. Tuesday at the Phillips & Luckey Funeral Home in Rockdale.
The Rev. Weldon Belew of the Rockdale Christian Church will officiate. Burial will be in Forest Grove Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 5 to 9 p.m. Monday at the funeral home.
Mr. Stewart died Saturday in Brady, Texas.
He was born in Milam County and had lived a few months in Brady. He had lived in Rockdale, Gause and Axtell, Texas. He was a mechanic for the state of Arkansas and was also a farmer. He served in the U.S. Army in Europe during World War II and attended Forest Grove Christian Church.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Viney O. Bundrick Stewart.
Survivors include a brother and sister-in-law, John William and Evelyn Stewart of Brady.
Stella Thompson

Services for Stella Thompson, 85, formerly of Bryan are set for 10 a.m. Wednesday at Hillier Funeral Home in Bryan.
The Rev. David Green of Wesley United Methodist Church in Bryan will officiate. Burial will be in Restever Memorial Park.
Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Tuesday and from 8:30 a.m. to the time of the services Wednesday at the funeral home.
Mrs. Thompson died Friday in Orange Park, Fla.
She was born in Yalobusha, Miss., and had lived in Orange Park for nine years. She formerly lived in Bryan and was a retired homemaker. She was a past president of the P.T.O. at Ben Milam Elementary School, was a past president of the Leisure Lodge volunteers and was a past president of the United Methodist Women. She was a member of St. Paul United Methodist Church in Bryan.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Charles Thompson.
Survivors include a son and daughter-in-law, Cal and Sharon Thompson of Orange Park; two daughters and a son-in-law, Patricia Thompson of Houston and Vickry and Tom Kayser of Pine, Colo.; two sisters, Gene Fincher of Baton Rouge, La., and Rebecca Badon of Lake Rose Mount, La.; eight grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren.
Aletha Warmke Wittneben

BRENHAM — Services for Aletha Warmke Wittneben, 82, of the Bleiblerville community are set for 10 a.m. Tuesday at Salem Lutheran Church in Welcome, Texas.

Mrs. Wittneben died Saturday in a Brenham nursing home.
She was born in Welcome and was a member of Salem Lutheran Church.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Edgar Wittneben.
Survivors include a son and daughter-in-law, Leonard and Lynn Wittneben of Welcome; two daughters and a son-in-law, Jean Nell Wittneben of Houston and Lori and Steven Jackson of Bellville, Texas; a sister-in-law, Viola Warmke of Brenham; six grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
Larry A. Phillips

WOODVILLE, Texas — Services for Dr. Larry A. Phillips, 58, of Woodville are set for 2 p.m. Wednesday at the Woodville United Methodist Church.
The Rev. George Helton of Woodville United Methodist Church will officiate. Burial will be in Magnolia Cemetery in Woodville.
Visitation will be from 5 to 9 p.m. Tuesday at Springer & Griffin Funeral Home in Woodville.
Dr. Phillips died Saturday at the Christus St. Elizabeth Hospital in Beaumont, Texas.
He was born in Longview, Texas. He was a former resident of Dallas and had lived in Woodville for the past 14 years. He graduated from Texas A&M University with a degree in veterinary medicine and owned and operated Dewberry Creek Animal Clinic.
He was a past mayor of Woodville and served on the Woodville City Council for many years. He also served as president of the Woodville Rotary Club and the Tyler County Chamber of Commerce and was active in several other civic organizations. He was a U.S. Army veteran and a member of Woodville United Methodist Church.
Survivors include his wife, Carol Bennett Phillips of Woodville; a daughter, Karen Phillips of Houston; a son, Bryan Phillips of College Station; his parents, Rupert and Mona Phillips of Dallas; a sister and brother-in-law, Sara and Jerry Park of Pottsboro, Texas; and a brother-in-law, Doug Bennett of Woodville.
John Dave Zweifel

Services for John Dave Zweifel, 87, of Bryan are set for 10 a.m. Wednesday at Callaway-Jones Chapel in Bryan.
The Rev. Dale Wheels of Wheelock Baptist Church will officiate. Burial will be in Wheelock Cemetery in Wheelock, Texas.
Visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.
Mr. Zweifel died Sunday at his home.
He was born in Robertson County and was a builder before his retirement. He was a member of Wheelock Baptist Church, where he served for many years as a deacon. He was also a member of the Brazos Union Masonic Lodge No. 129 A.F. & A.M. in Bryan and served in the U.S. Army during World War II.
Survivors include his wife, Avis Holiday Zweifel of Bryan; two daughters and sons-in-law, Johnnie Lou and K.R. “Bud” Gordy of Galveston, and Dorothy Jean and Emil Matura of Wheelock; a brother and sister-in-law, Edward and Eva Zweifel of Bryan; three sisters, Faye Huskey and Pauline Elliot, both of Bryan, and Georgia Lee Morgan of Madisonville; four grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.

Anna Charlotte Ott Bartoskewitz

SAN ANTONIO — Services for Anna Charlotte Ott Bartoskewitz, 94, of San Antonio are set for 10 a.m. Wednesday at Incarnate Word University Chapel in San Antonio.
Burial will be in Holy Cross Cemetery.
A rosary will be recited at 7 p.m. Tuesday at Porter Loring Mortuary Chapel in San Antonio.
Mrs. Bartoskewitz died Sunday in a San Antonio nursing home.
She was born in String Prairie, Texas, and was a longtime resident of San Antonio. She worked as a clerk-typist in the insurance industry before her marriage when she became a homemaker and typed insurance policies in her spare time. She was a member of St. Gerard’s P.T.O., the Archdiocesan Council of Catholic Women, the National Conference of Christians and Jews and the Catholic Daughters of America. She served as grand regent of the Catholic Daughters and volunteered as a poll worker for city, state and national elections.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Edgar F. Bartoskewitz.
Survivors include a son and daughter-in-law, Richard E. and Polly C. Bartoskewitz of Bryan; two sisters and a brother-in-law, Hattie and Charles Grohman of Bulverde, Texas, and Emma Fieback of String Prairie; a sister-in-law, Leona Bartoskewitz of San Antonio; two grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Edward H. ‘Ed’ Meyer

SOMERVILLE — Services for Edward H. “Ed” Meyer, 67, of Somerville are set for 3:30 p.m. Thursday at Strickland Funeral Home in Somerville.
The Rev. Mark Pederson will officiate. Burial will be in Oaklawn Cemetery.
Visitation will be from noon to 9 p.m. Wednesday, with the family present from 5 to 7 p.m., and from 8 a.m. to the time of the services Thursday at the funeral home.
Mr. Meyer died Sunday.
He was born in Somerville and graduated from Somerville High School in 1950. He served in the National Guard, reaching the rank of major in the U.S. Army prior to his retirement in 1974. He worked for the Santa Fe Railroad in Somerville, Albuquerque, N.M., and Topeka, Kan., where he served as manager of the tie treating plant. He returned to Somerville in 1972 and served as payroll clerk, liaison and secretary to the superintendent. He was a coach and director of the Somerville and Burleson County Little Leagues for over 20 years, was a statistician and reporter for Somerville ISD’s football team, worked with the Cub and Boy Scouts and served in the Executive Order of the Arrow for Camp Billy Gibbons. He was a member of the City of Somerville Parks and Recreation Board, the Somerville I.S.D. board of trustees from 1984 to 1990, the Brenham National Guard Reunion Committee and the First United Methodist Church in Somerville.
Survivors include his wife, Mackie Meyer of Somerville; two sons and a daughter-in-law, Brian Edward Meyer of Conroe, Texas, and Andrew Joel and Karen Meyer of San Antonio; two sisters, Lou Beran of Bryan and Cheryl Estwanick of Missouri; four brothers, Bobby Meyer of Torrance, Calif., Larry Meyer of Auburn, Wash., Dale Meyer of Somerville and Dick Meyer of Garland, Texas; two grandchildren; and numerous nieces, nephews and other relatives.
Flora Dedman Morgan

HOUSTON — Private services for Flora Dedman Morgan, 80, of Houston will be at a later date.
Arrangements are under the direction of Serenity Mortuary in Houston.
Mrs. Morgan died Saturday.
She was born in Dumas, Ark., and was a longtime resident of Houston. She worked many years in the real estate business, managing and leasing apartments.
Survivors include three daughters, Diane Wright of Pleasanton, Calif., Viki Anderson of Houston and Donna Yates of Bryan; two sisters and a brother-in-law, Elsie and Jack Coley of Houston and Ruth Hall of Fort Smith, Ark.; a brother, John Dedman of Fort Smith; six grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces, nephews and other relatives.
