BRENHAM — Services for Wilbert Heine, 76, of Brenham are set for 11 a.m. Wednesday at Strickland Funeral Home in Somerville. The Rev. Cecil Lang will officiate. Burial will be at the Oaklawn Cemetery in Somerville.
Visitation will be from 8:30 a.m. Wednesday until the time of service at the funeral home.
Mr. Heine died Monday in St. Joseph Regional Health Center.
He was born in the Birch community in Burleson County. He attended Birch schools and was a self-employed truck driver. He served in the U.S. Army during World War II.
Survivors include his stepson, Gene Williams of Brenham; five sisters and brothers-in-law, Vivian and Orville Berlin of Waller, Celesta Hatcher of Houston, Mavis Suehs of Deanville, Geraldine and Otto Wiederhold of Houston, Aliene and Kenneth Barrier of Arlington, Texas; two stepgrandchildren, three great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
Emma Lou Davis Young

Services for Emma Lou Davis Young, 74, of Bryan are set for 11 a.m. Thursday at G.W. Tabernacle Church in Bryan. The Rev. D. N. Jones will officiate. Burial will be in New Bethlehem Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Wednesday at Jones-Washington Mortuary, and a wake service will be from 6 to 7 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.
Mrs. Young died Saturday at College Station Medical Center.
She was born in Edge. She was a member of the Greater Tabernacle Baptist Church.
Survivors include her husband, Melvin Young of Bryan; four sons, Elmer Davis and Alex Davis, both of Bryan, the Rev. Wade C. Davis of Dallas and the Rev. Frank M. Davis of Aurora, Colo.; seven daughters, Lola Dean of Dallas, Eloise Rogers of Aurora, Patricia Truevillian of Austin, Ruby Carter of Angleton, Texas, Cecil Crenshaw of Bryan, Glenda Jenkins of Hurst, Texas, and Beverly Davis of Dallas; one brother, Larry Green of Dallas; one sister, Rosie Jones of Bryan; 26 grandchildren, and 17 great-grandchildren.
Julia Cruz Molina

Services for Julia Cruz Molina, 56, of College Station are set for 10 a.m. Thursday at Oak Grove United Methodist Church. The Rev. Manuel Grajales and the Rev. Santa Ana Trejo will officiate. Burial will be in Bryan City Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 3 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at Hillier Funeral Home in Bryan. A prayer service will be at 7 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.
Ms. Molina died Monday in College Station.
She was born in Wheelock. She retired from the food service department at Texas A&M University. Ms. Molina attended Oak Grove United Methodist Church.
Survivors include two sons and a daughter-in-law, Michael Molina of Bryan and Richard and Libby Molina of Cameron; one daughter and son-in-law, Rebecca and Elmo Leal of Austin; one brother, Felipe Cruz of Bryan; five sisters, Mary Lopez of Hearne, and Minnie Juarez, Alice Cruz, Connie Cruz, and Nelda Cruz, all of Bryan; four grandchildren and 16 nieces and nephews.
V.G. ‘Dusty’ Warthan Jr.

CALDWELL — Services for V.G. “Dusty” Warthan Jr., 76, of Caldwell are set for 11 a.m. Thursday at Strickland Funeral Home in Caldwell. The Rev. Don Laird of First Assembly of God will officiate. Burial will be in Chriesman Cemetery in Chriesman.
Visitation will be from noon to 8 p.m. Wednesday with family present from 6 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home.
Mr. Warthan died Tuesday at his home.
He was born in Broken Bow, Okla. He was a retired pipeliner with Tenneco. He was a member of the Lauderdale Airpark Radio Control Models Club, National Rifle Association, a lifetime member of the Texas Skeet Shooting Association, and the National Skeet Shooting Association. He served in the U.S. Marines during World War II.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Edith “Sandy” Warthan.
Survivors include two sons, George Alan Warthan of Houston and Everett Lynn Warthan of Austin; one sister, Vona Gray Hedrick of Pasadena, Texas; one aunt, Rosa Lee Sandridge of Idabell, Okla.; five nieces and five nephews; four grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
Memorials may be made to the American Heart Association.

Mr. Payne died Monday at Scott & White Hospital in Temple, Texas.
He was born in Marietta, Ohio. He had been a heavy equipment operator, working for Fair Point Coal in Ohio and other contractors. He also cut timber for 30 years. He served in the U.S. Army during the Korean War.

WACO — Graveside services for Hobby Ellis, 82, of Waco are set for 11 a.m. Thursday at Forest Grove Cemetery in Forest Grove, Texas. Arrangements are under the direction of Phillips & Luckey Funeral Home in Rockdale.
Mr. Ellis died Monday at the Hillcrest Hospital in Waco.
He was born in Rockdale. He attended Rockdale schools. He served in the U.S. Air Force for 20 years in both World War II and Korea. He was a member of Service Memorial Methodist Church in Waco. After a military career, he worked with the U.S. Post Office in Sacramento, Calif.
He was preceded in death by his first wife, Bridget, in 1982, and his second wife, Marion, in February.
Survivors include three sons, Glen, James and David Ellis, all of California; one daughter, Kathleen Butler of California; three sisters, Mozelle Osburn of Bryan, Rosemary McLaughlin of Austin and Dorothy Harris of Redrock, Texas; a sister-in-law, Delores Ellis of Baltimore; nine grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
Kim Weston Harper

CORVALLIS, Ore. — A memorial service for Kim Weston Harper, 46, of Corvallis was Tuesday at First Presbyterian Church in Corvallis. The Rev. John Dennis officiated. Arrangements were under the direction of DeMoss-Durdan Garden Chapel in Corvallis.
Mr. Harper died Oct. 25 at Good Samaritan Hospital in Corvallis.
He was born in Shreveport, La. He moved to College Station and graduated from A&M Consolidated High School in 1972. He received a bachelor’s degree in psychology from Colorado College in 1976. He worked as an engineer in Colorado Springs, Colo., for NCR, Honeywell and Inmos. He also worked for Hewlett Packard.
Survivors include his wife, Lynn Harper of Corvallis; two sons, Ryan and Travis Harper of Corvallis; his parents, Wes and Ann Harper of College Station; a brother, Bill Harper of College Station; and a sister, Holli Harper of Colorado Springs.
In lieu of memorial contributions, the family requests that written memories of Kim be sent to the family.

He was born in Leavenworth, Kan. He was a truck driver for Key Energy Oil Field Services and was known by his friends as “Jay Hawk.” He was a member of Covenant Family Church in College Station.
Survivors include his wife, Jane Thoos of Bryan; his son, Thomas Thoos III of Austin; a daughter and son-in-law, Jody and Troy Smith of Bryan; a sister and brother-in-law, Pat and Gary Vincent of Reno, Nev.; his mother and stepfather, Elza and Frank Dellavolpe of Bull Head City, Ariz.; and four grandchildren.
