NAVASOTA — Services for Albert D. Mills, 72, of Courtney, Texas, are set for 10 a.m. Tuesday at Nobles Funeral Chapel in Navasota.
The Rev. Greg McHenry of Believers Fellowship in Plantersville will officiate. Burial will be in Oakland Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 10 a.m. to 9 p.m. Monday at the funeral home.
There will be a public viewing from 4 to 7 p.m. Monday at the funeral home, with an Alcoholics Anonymous meeting following the viewing.
Mr. Mills died Saturday in Courtney.
He was born in Mt. Enterprise, Texas, and was employed by the Texas Department of Corrections. He was a member of Alcoholics Anonymous for 33 years and was a licensed chemical dependency and drug abuse counselor, served on the Region 7 Regional Advisory Council with the Texas Commission on Alcohol and Drug Abuse and the Texas Commission on Alcohol and Drug Abuse Peer Review Committee and also served on the board of directors of the Brazos Valley Council on Alcohol and Drug Abuse. He served in the U.S. Marine Corps during the Korean War and spent 11 years as a police officer for the Lower Merion Police Force in Lower Merion, Pa.
Survivors include his wife, Norma S. Mills of Navasota; a son and daugther-in-law, Albert and Cindy Mills of College Station; three daughters and sons-in-law, Teressa and Stewart Anderson of Winter Spring, Fla., Rebecca and Gerald Keister of Fairfax, Va., and Norman Jean and Robert Ferguson of Mechanicville, Va.; a sister and brother-in-law, Mary and Everet Whitworth of Leona, Texas; and seven grandchildren.
Philip ‘Logan’ Sechelski

NAVASOTA — Services for Philip “Logan” Sechelski, 8, of Tarkington, Texas, formerly of Navasota, are set for 2 p.m. Wednesday at Christ Our Light Catholic Church in Navasota.
The Rev. James M. Burkart of Mary, Mother of God Catholic Church in Hempstead, Texas, will officiate. Burial will be in St. Stanislaus Catholic Church Cemetery in Anderson.
Visitation will be from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. Tuesday and from 9 a.m. to noon Wednesday at Lindley-Robertson-Holt Funeral Home in Navasota, and from 1 p.m. to the time of the services Wednesday at the church.
A rosary will be recited at 7 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.
Logan died Saturday in Navasota.
He was born in College Station and was a third-grader at Tarkington Elementary School. He was involved in football, baseball and soccer and was a member of Mary, Mother of God Catholic Church.
Survivors include his parents, Philip Sechelski of Navasota, and Julie Seale and Sam McGraw of Tarkington; grandparents, Dell Seale of Navasota and Stella Sechelski of Hempstead; great-grandparents, Lillian “Granny” Harrington of Plantersville, Texas, and Stanley and Theresa Michalak of Chappell Hill; a brother, Foster McGraw of Tarkington; a sister, Lexi Sechelski of Tarkington; and numerous aunts, uncles and other relatives.
Arkie Elizabeth Fisher

Graveside services for Arkie Elizabeth Fisher, 81, of Bryan are set for 2 p.m. Wednesday at Bryan City Cemetery.
The Rev. Dr. Jo Hudson of Friends Congregational Church will officiate.
Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at Hillier Funeral Home in Bryan.
Mrs. Fisher died Sunday in Bryton Inn in Bryan.
She was born in Ozark, Ark., and had lived more than 50 years in Bryan. She was retired as a professional secretary at Texas A&M University. She was a member of the Professional Secretaries Association of Texas A&M, the Republican Party and Beta Sigma Phi Sorority at A&M.
Survivors include a son, Richard Fisher Burnes of Bryan; and a daughter, Sarah Beth Hutchinson of Bryan.
Joseph ‘Cap’ Fisher
June 6, 1915 — Oct. 4, 2000
NAVASOTA — Services for Joseph “Cap” Fisher, 85, of Navasota are set for 1 p.m. Wednesday at Lee Tabernacle United Methodist Church in Navasota.
The Rev. Kabamba Kiboko will officiate. Burial will be in St. Holland Baptist Church Cemetery.
Visitation will be from noon to the time of the services Wednesday at the church.
Arrangements are under the direction of Jones Funeral Home in Navasota.
Mr. Fisher died Wednesday at his home.
He was born in Grimes County and was the owner of Fisher Service Station. He was a member of Lee Tabernacle United Methodist Church.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Atha B. Mitchell Fisher.
Survivors include four daughters and a son-in-law, the Rev. Nona Glenn and Carol Anderson, both of Navasota, Evelyn and Bobbie Chandler of Washington State, and Josephine Daniels of Barstow, Calif.; 14 grandchildren; and 18 great-grandchildren.
Elvis Earl Fuchs

BRENHAM — Graveside services for Elvis Earl Fuchs, 70, of Brenham are set for 11 a.m. Wednesday at Prairie Lea Cemetery in Brenham.
The Rev. J. Elliott Pancoast will officiate.
Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at Memorial Oaks Chapel in Brenham.
Mr. Fuchs died Sunday in Bluebonnet Hills Nursing Center in Brenham.
He was born in Nechanitz, Texas, and served in the U.S. Army during the Korean War. He was a member of St. Paul’s Evangelical Lutheran Church in Brenham, where he served as an usher. He was retired as an employee of Jimmy Hahn and Brentex Mills.
Survivors include his wife, Elbertha Fuchs of Brenham; two sisters and a brother-in-law, Doris and Marvin Heinecke of La Grange, Texas, and Vernell Fuchs of Brenham; a sister, Mabel Kerrane of Houston; a niece; two nephews; three great-nephews; and a great-niece.

Dorothy Jean Peacock Harper

LITTLE ROCK, Ark. — Memorial services for Dorothy Jean Peacock Harper, 76, of Little Rock were held Saturday at the Second Presbyterian Church in Little Rock.
The Rev. Karen Akin officiated.
Arrangements were under the direction of Ruebel Funeral Home in Little Rock.
Mrs. Harper died Thursday.
She was born in Marlin, Texas, and was an appointment secretary for former Arkansas Gov. David Pryor, secretary to former Secretary of State Paul Riviere and Land Commissioner Charlie Daniels. She was a member of the Second Presbyterian Church since 1976.
Survivors include two sons and a daughter-in-law, David Harper and Sean and Barbara Harper, all of Little Rock; two brothers, Robert Oakes of Houston and Dick Peacock of Bryan; and two grandsons.

Mr. Kilpatrick died Sept. 29.
He was born in Navasota and was a laborer.
Survivors include his wife, Charlene Kilpatrick of Navasota; a son, Louis Kilpatrick of Abilene; two daughters, Jamie Harris of Bryan and Eloise Kilpatrick of Navasota; 14 grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.

He was born in Rio Grande City, Texas.
He was preceded in death by a daughter, Eloina Ortiz.

Mrs. Scheidemantel died Monday in Bryan.
She was born in Normangee and had lived there for many years. She was a member of the First Methodist Church in Normangee and was retired from the Butane Gas Company in Houston.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Clarence Scheidemantel.
Survivors include a son, Clarence Scheidemantel of Normangee; three daughters and sons-in-law, Betty and Dean Lewis of Huntsville, Texas, Becky and David Davidson of Porter, Texas, and Mamie and David Elmendorf of Houston; seven grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
