Services for Diccie Elizabeth Shugart, 90, of Frankston were at 10 a.m. today at the Frankston Assembly of God Church with the Revs. J.A. Griffin, G.C. Folmar and Ken Mullen officiating. Burial followed at Liberty Hill Cemetery under the direction of Thompson Funeral Home, Frankston.

Mrs. Shugart died Friday at Frankston Healthcare Center.

She was born Sept. 30, 1912 in Anderson County.

Mrs. Shugart was a homemaker. She was a member of the Frankston Assembly of God Church.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Virgle Shugart; daughters, Marie Shuttlesworth and Virgie Dunlap; sons, Herbert Shugart and H.V. Shugart.

Mrs. Shugart is survived by son, James Ray Shugart of Frankston; daughters, Katie Mattern and Nancy Morton of Palestine, Carolyn Southard of Maydelle, Sharon Laughlin of Frankston and Catherine Mullen of Little Rock, Ark.; brothers, Arnie Clakley of Frankston, Levi Clakley and Ernest Clakley, both of Tyler, George Clakley and Edmond Clakley, both of Carthage; sister, Elva Saxton of Grapeland; 24 grandchildren; 50 great-grandchildren; and 13 great-great-grandchildren.

Pallbearers were grandsons, Floyd Dunlap, Danny Shugart, Freddy Shuttlesworth, Herbert Shugart, Mike Morton, Marvin Morton, David Mewbourn, Carroll Mewbourn, Tyron Cobble, Milton Cobble and John Laughlin.

Paul House

Memorial services for Paul House, 70, will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday at Court Drive Church of Christ with the Revs. Henry Florczak and John Markum officiating. Burial will follow at East Hill Cemetery under the direction of McCoy Funeral Home.

Mr. House died Monday at Palestine Regional Medical Center.

Wilda Rich Allen

Funeral arrangements for Wilda Rich Allen, 89, of Grapeland are pending at Bailey & Foster, Grapeland.

Mrs. Allen died this morning at Hospice of East  Texas.

Warren P. Miller

Funeral arrangements for Warren P. Miller of Oakwood are pending at Memorial Funeral Home of Buffalo.

Mr. Miller died Sunday at Parkview Hospital in Mexia after a brief illness.

John Branch

Mr. Branch died Saturday in Galveston.

Will Grayson

Services for Will Grayson, 70, of Cypress, and formerly of Oakwood will be at 11 a.m. Thursday at Calvary Christian Center in Oakwood with the Rev. Jack Smith Sr. and the Rev. Jack Smith Jr. officiating. Burial will follow in Buffalo City Cemetery under the direction of Bailey & Foster.

Mr. Grayson died Sunday at his residence.

He was born May 8, 1933 in Buffalo to L.M. and Jessie Graham Grayson.

Mr. Grayson owned a computer company. He served in the U.S. Army during the Korean War.

He was preceded in death by his parents; a son, Bradley Grayson; and a brother, Howard Grayson.

Mr. Grayson is survived by his wife, Jackie Grayson of Cypress; daughter, Wendi Grayson of New York, N.Y.; son, Andrew Spain of Fort Worth; sisters, Bobbye Cox of Houston, Jessie Butler of Waco, and Hazel Brown of Iowa Park; brothers, Odell Harcrow of Buffalo and Buck Grayson of Fort Worth.

Pallbearers will be Kevin Miller, Danny Cantrell, Trey Smith, Brent Bing, Mike Gordon and Gary Salter.

Condolence calls will be received from 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.

Warren Phillip Miller

Services for Warren Phillip Miller, 89, of Oakwood will be at 1 p.m. Wednesday at Calvary Christian Center in Oakwood with Jack Smith Jr. officiating. Burial will follow at Keechi Cemetery under the direction of Memorial Funeral Home of Buffalo.

Mr. Miller died Sunday in Mexia.

He was born Dec. 20, 1913 in Jonesville, La.

Mr. Miller retired from the  Texas Department of Transportation.

He was preceded in death by his wife Helen.

Mr. Miller is survived by sons, Edwin Miller and wife Alice of Freestone County, Harold Miller and wife Karen of North Richland Hills, Billy Miller and wife Jennifer of Bedford; daughter, Frances Shinn of Freestone County; brothers, Frank Miller and Buddy Miller of Jonesville, La.; seven grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren.

Visitation will be from 6 to 9 p.m. today at the funeral home.

John Branch

Graveside services for John Frank Branch Sr., 70, of Pasadena, and formerly of Elkhart, will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday at Chapel of the Air at Land of Memory Cemetery. Arrangements are under the direction of Herrington Land of Memory Funeral Home.

Mr. Branch died Saturday in Galveston.

He was born Dec. 12, 1932 in Levelland to John S. and Ruby Delaney Branch.

Mr. Branch was a graduate of Levelland High School and Dallas Institute of Mortuary Science. He was a funeral director and past member of Conroe and Pasadena Rotary Clubs, past president of  Texas Funeral Supply Sales Club and past president of Gams Golfing Association of  Texas.

He was preceded in death by his parents; and a brother, William H. "Bill" Branch.

Mr. Branch is survived by his wife of 25 years, Pauline Branch; children, John Frank Branch Jr., Donna M. Branch, James G. Branch and wife Andrea, Lee Mark Wilkerson and wife Jill, Joni Ann Worthington and husband Rodney; brothers, James D. "Jim" Branch and wife Marlene, George T. Branch and wife Cookie; grandchildren; great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. today at the funeral home.

Services for Eula "Potsie" Reed, 94, of Palestine will be at 10 a.m. Thursday at Bailey & Foster Chapel with Dr. Tom Rousseau officiating. Burial will follow in Land of Memory Cemetery. Arrangements are under the direction of Bailey & Foster.

Mrs. Reed died Tuesday at Palestine Regional Medical Center.

She was born July 27, 1909 in Tennessee Colony to Elbert  Jackson and Minnie McKenzie Eubanks.

Mrs. Reed was a bookkeeper and had worked at East  Texas National Bank for many years. She was a member of the First Christian Church.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Joel Marvin Reed; a grandson, Jimmy Ray; and a great-granddaughter, Christy Ray.

Mrs. Reed is survived by her daughters, Molly Ray of Palestine, Bennye Rice and husband George of Mesquite; a son, Richard "Dick" Reed and wife Mary of Palestine; six granddaughters; 10 great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandsons.

Pallbearers will be Eddie Ray, John Paine, Alan Cornelison, Larry Coker, Joey Pippen, Adam Ray, Aaron Ray, Ruben Martel, and Eddie Rose. Honorary pallbearers will be nephews.

Condolence calls will be received from 6 to 8 p.m. today at the funeral home.

In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the First Christian Church, P.O. Box 305, Palestine,  Texas 75802 or to a charity of choice.
