A memorial service for Alan B. Alter, 80, of Bryan is set for 2 p.m. Friday at the First Presbyterian Church in Bryan.
The Rev. Kyle Walker will officiate. The graveside service will be private.
Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday at Hillier Funeral Home in Bryan.
Mr. Alter died Tuesday at College Station Medical Center.
He was born in Johnstown, Pa. He served in the U.S. Army during World War II and joined the Army Reserves. He was a mechanical engineering professor at Texas A&M University. He was president of the Bryan Rotary Club. He was a member of Pi Tau Sigma, the Bryan Electrical Advisory Board, the Sojourners, Brazos Union Lodge #129 and the Sons of the American Revolution. He served as elder deacon, Sunday school superintendant and clerk of session at First Presbyterian Church.
Survivors include his wife, Ruth D. Alter of Bryan; one son and daughter-in-law, David and Rhyne Alter of Wausau, Wis.; one daughter, Rebecca A. Alter of Bryan; one brother and sister-in-law, Robert N. and Catherine Alter of Bryan; and eight nieces and nephews.
Memorials in lieu of flowers may be made to Brazos Valley Rehabilitation Center in Bryan and First Presbyterian Church.
Eula Lee Dodson

Services for Eula Lee Dodson, 95, of Bryan are set for 10 a.m. Saturday at Hillier Funeral Home in Bryan.
The Rev. Johnny Sloan of Rock Prairie Baptist Church will officiate. Burial will be in Smetana Cemetery.
Visitation will be at the funeral home from 5 to 8 p.m. Friday and Saturday from 8:30 to 10 a.m.
Mrs. Dodson died Tuesday at Bryton Inn Health Center.
She was born in Grand Saline, Texas, and lived in Bryan for more than 30 years. She was a homemaker and a member of Rock Prairie Baptist Church.
She was preceded in death by her husband, John S. Dodson.
Survivors include one son, David Dodson of Bryan; one sister, Duskie Hearne of Mineola, Texas; and numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren.

MADISONVILLE Services for Ignacio Alvarado Espinoza, 73, of Bryan are set for 2 p.m. Friday at Bedias Baptist Church.
The Rev. Jerald Brown will officiate. Burial will be in Bedias Baptist Cemetery. A rosary service will be Thursday at 6 p.m. in the J.M. Day Funeral Home chapel.
Mr. Espinoza died Monday in Bryan.
He was born in San Juan, Texas. He served in the Army Air Corps during World War II and was a member of the American Legion.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Mary Hernandez Espinoza.

Miss Allen died Wednesday in Bryan.
She was born in Corpus Christi. She was a trust administrator for Kanaly Trust Co. in Houston and a member of First United Methodist Church.
Survivors include one sister and brother-in-law, Marilyn Allen and James Raymond Koch of Bryan; and her mother, Claire Catherine Allen of Bryan.

Mr. Franks died Wednesday at his home.
He was born in Houston and was retired as a chemical engineer with more than 34 years in the petrochemical industry. He graduated from Texas A&M University with a master of science degree in chemistry and was a senior engineer, a certified specialist in analytical technology and an ISA Fellow.
Survivors include his wife, Patricia Franks of Dickinson; his parents, J.B. and Verna Franks of Hearne; two sons, Michael W. Franks and fiancιe, Samantha Ronquille of Ennis, Texas, and Jason R. Franks of Dickinson; two sisters and brothers-in-law, Karen A. and Kerry Anders of Georgetown, Texas, and Kelli and John Degelia of Germany; a brother and sister-in-law, Mark E. and Danna Franks of Corsicana, Texas; three nieces; two nephews; and numerous other relatives.

Mrs. Cooper died Sunday at her home.
She was born in Singleton, Texas, and had lived in College Station for 46 years. She was a licensed cosmetologist and instructor at the Woodley Beauty School in 1964 and 1965. She was a member of Christ Holy Missionary Baptist Church.
Survivors include her husband, John Cooper of College Station; two daughters and sons-in-law, Kimmie and Patrick Daily of College Station and Latonia and Clifford Chambers III of Bryan; a brother and sister-in-law, Sylvester and Doris Calhoun of College Station; four sisters and two brothers-in-law, Malvonee Merchant, Ethel and Thurman Duffie, Minnie McNeal and Effie and Monroe Renchie, all of College Station; and nine grandchildren.

Mr. King died Tuesday at his home.
He was born in Brazos County and was an aide for the AMT School in Allen Farm, Texas, George Washington Carver and Navasota High School. He served in the U.S. Army for nine years.
Survivors include three sons, Cedrick Love of Navasota, Anthony King of Seattle and Michael King of Louisiana; six brothers, Lorenza King, Thomas King and Kenny King, all of Navasota, Ernest King of Washington, Texas, L.C. He was born in North Zulch and was a security guard with Pinkerton Security. He was a member of VFW Post No. 4692 in Bryan and Memorial Baptist Church. He served in the U.S. Marine Corps during World War II.
Survivors include his wife, Rosie L. Akin of Navasota; a son, Clifford Akin of Navasota; a daughter and son-in-law, Debra and Alford Hardwick of Bryan; a brother and sister-in-law, Ronnie and Laverne Akin of Millican; and a sister, Carol Schaefer of Pasadena, Texas.

She was preceded in death by her husband, A.C. Myles.

Mrs. Tidrow died Wednesday in Richards Memorial Hospital in Rockdale.
She was born in Millers, Ark., and had lived in Iola for 11 years. She formerly lived in Rockdale for 22 years and in Rusk, Texas. She was a cook at the Rusk State Hospital for 24 years until her retirement in 1967. She was a member of the Rockdale Full Gospel church, the VFW Post No. 6525 Ladies Auxiliary and the State of Texas Retirement System and was a Baptist.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Charles Henry Tidrow.
Survivors include a daughter and son-in-law, Doris and Kenneth Lash of Iola; a foster daughter, Tommie Porter of Henderson, Texas; a brother and sister-in-law, Van and Bernice Goff of Paris, Texas; a former son-in-law, Bill Davis and wife, Aldelfa, of Rockdale; four grandchildren; ten great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Willie Jack Turner Sr.
