Services for Anderson “Rabbit” Harris Jr., 85, of College Station are set for 11 a.m. Friday at Ruby’s Chapel at Jones-Washington Mortuary.
The Rev. U.L. Green of Pilgrim Rest Baptist Church will officiate. Burial will be in Independence Cemetery in Independence, Texas.
Visitation will be from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.
Mr. Harris died Tuesday in St. Joseph Regional Health Center.
He was born in Washington County, was self-employed at a service station, and was Baptist.
Survivors include his wife, Estella Mae Harris of College Station; four sons, Lonnie Shelton and Charles Taylor, both of College Station, Clifton Shelton and Preston Maxey, both of Houston; three daughters, Sharron M. Davis, Alice Marie Taylor, and Charlestella Marie Taylor, all of Houston; a sister-in-law, Marie Wilson of Ft. Worth; a host of grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.
Tillie B. Sypenski Klotz
May 28, 1928 —March 29, 2000
BREMOND —Services for Tillie B. Sypenski Klotz, 71, of Bremond are set for 11 a.m. Friday at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Bremond.
Burial will be in the church cemetery .
Peiskee Funeral Home in Bremond is in charge of all the arrangements.
Mrs. Klotz died Wednesday in Marlin.
She was born in Bremond, was a member of St. Mary’s Catholic Church, a member of Altar Society, Rosary Society, and had served as Deanery President.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Leonard Klotz.
Survivors include a sister and brother-in-law, Elizabeth and Lee Ray Scott of Houston; two brothers-in-law, Steve Abraham and Floyd Wachel both of Bremond; three nephews; and two nieces.
Edna Gest

ROCKDALE —Services for Edna Gest, 99, of Rockdale are set for 10 a.m. Saturday at Grace Lutheran Church in Rockdale.
The Rev. Martin Doering will officiate. Burial will be in the I.O.O.F. Cemetery in Rockdale.
Visitation will be from 2 to 9 p.m. Friday at Phillips & Luckey Funeral Home in Rockdale.
Mrs. Gest died Tuesday in Austin.
She was born near Lexington, Texas, was a homemaker and had worked for the president of Texas A&M University years ago. She was also a charter member of Grace Lutheran Church.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Louis G. Gest Jr.
Survivors include a daughter and son-in-law, Margaret and John Leech of Austin; a son-in-law, John M. Weed Jr. of Rockdale; a sister-in-law, Ruth Marquardt of Lexington; three grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.

Rebecca Worley McIver Lewis

MADISONVILLE —Services for Rebecca Worley McIver Lewis, 80, of New Braunfels are set for 11 a.m. Saturday at the Madisonville Funeral Home.
Mrs. Lewis died Monday in New Braunfels.
She was born in Madisonville, attended Southwestern University in Georgetown, held the distinction of selling more World Book and Childcraft Encyclopedias than anyone in Texas, and she was an expert bridge player.
She was preceded in death by her former husband, James M. McIver.
Survivors include her husband, Robert V. Lewis of New Braunfels; two sons and daughters-in-law, Michael M. and Maria McIver of Conroe and James W. and Diane McIver of Friendswood; four grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.

Services for Deborah Faye Williams, 45, of Bryan are set for 11:30 a.m. Saturday in G. W. Williams Tabernacle.

Visitation will be from noon to 8 p.m. Friday and from 8 to 10 a.m. Saturday at Daniel & Son Funeral Home in Bryan.
Miss Williams died Saturday in Mother Francis Hospital in Tyler, Texas.
She was born in Bryan, was a teacher, was Baptist, and was the organist for the Mt. Zion Baptist Church at Benchley, Texas, played at surrounding churches, and played for the Bethel A.M.E. Church of Hearne.
Survivors include a daughter, Nikenge LeCole Debony Cain of Bryan; a brother, Donald Thompson of Mumford, Texas; three sisters, Cassandra Williams and Mary Ann Tilley, both of Houston and Louisa Hill of Bryan; her mother, Geraldine A. W. Carter of Bryan; and her grandparent, D. Owens of Bryan.
Memorials may be given to Mt. Zion Baptist Church.
Johnny Leon Seyfus

Services for Johnny Leon Seyfus, 71, of Bryan are set for 11 a.m. Saturday at New Chapel Baptist Church in Bryan.
The Rev. James E. Williams of the Mount Vernon Missionary Baptist Church will officiate. Burial will be at Restever Memorial Cemetery.
Visitation will be from noon to 6 p.m. Friday at People’s Mortuary and from 10-11 a.m. Saturday at the church.
Mr. Seyfus died Monday at his residence.
He was born in Caldwell, was retired from Texas A&M University and was a member of Mt. Vernon Missionary Baptist Church.
Survivors include his wife, Eartha L. Seyfus of Bryan; a son and daughter-in-law, Kenneth and Ethel Seyfus of Ft.Worth; two daughters and sons-in-law, Gloria and Vernon Thompson of Houston and Deloris and William Walton of Garland; a brother and sister-in-law, William and Pauline Seyfus of College Station; a sister, Dorothy Walton of Bryan; seven grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.

FRANKLIN — Services for Alice Lucy Burns, 70, of Franklin are set for 2 p.m. Sunday at the Easterly Baptist Church in Easterly, Texas.

Visitation will be from 6 to 9 p.m. Saturday and from 9 a.m. to noon Sunday at Blair-Stubbs-McCauley Funeral Home in Franklin.
Mrs. Burns died Thursday in St. Joseph Regional Health Center in Bryan.
She was born in Robertson County and had lived in Franklin most of her life. She was retired as a clerk for the Robertson County tax assessor-collectors office. She was a member of the Easterly Baptist Church and the Daughters of the Republic of Texas.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Burl D. Burns.
Survivors include three daughters and sons-in-law, Mary Nell and Robert Hanna and Liz and Jim Stegall, all of Franklin, and Oma and Robert Owens of Cleveland, Texas; two sons and a daughter-in-law, James and Phyllis Burns and Billy Burns, all of Franklin; a daughter-in-law, Connie Burns of Franklin; two sisters, Martha Bush and Verna Floyd, both of Franklin; a brother, Carol Corn of Ridge; 19 grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
Ora Beatrice Davis

HEARNE — Services for Ora Beatrice Davis, 90, of Calvert are set for 2 p.m. Saturday at First Baptist Church in Calvert.

Mrs. Davis died Wednesday in Beeville, Texas.
She was born in Marshall, Texas, and had lived in Calvert for most of her life. She was a member of First Baptist Church in Calvert and was a homemaker.
She was preceded in death by her husband, R.E. “Bob” Davis.
Survivors include two sons and a daughter-in-law, Robert Louis Davis of Marlin, Texas, and William Leroy and Catherine Davis of Houston; a daughter and son-in-law, Mattie and Dr. O.C. Schroeder of Beeville, Texas; 11 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; and three great-great-grandchildren.
Guy Pruett

ROCKDALE — Services for Guy Pruett, 81, of Rockdale are set for 11 a.m. Monday at Phillips & Luckey Funeral Home in Rockdale.

Visitation will be from 2 to 9 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home.
Mr. Pruett died Thursday in Specialty Hospital in Austin.
He was born in Harmony community, Texas, and was a directional engineer for the oil industry. He served in the U.S. Marine Corps during World War II and was a member of the First Christian Church in Rockdale.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Wanda Douglas Pruett.
Survivors include a son and daughter-in-law, James E. “Eddie” and Mary Ann Pruett of Rockdale; three daughters and a son-in-law, Margie Johnson of Belton, Carla Page of Bartlett, Texas, and Felicia Pruett de Lopez and Fernando Lopez of Boynton Beach, Fla; a sister, Dorothy Pruett Hammond of Rockdale; eight grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.
