Danny Allen
Danny M. Allen, 43, of Denton died Saturday, June 23, 2001, at Denton Regional Medical Center.
He was born July 10, 1957, in Denton to Carl and Oleta Davis Allen. He married Letty Longoria in Dallas on Nov. 3, 1978.
Mr. Allen was the owner of Allen's Wrecker Service.
He attended Cooper Creek Baptist Church.
A service will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday, June 27, in the chapel of DeBerry Funeral Directors. Chaplain Andy Anderson will officiate. Burial will be in Roselawn Memorial Park.
Pallbearers will be Ryan Elliott, Patrick Castillo, James Koschak, Hector Longoria, Enoc Torres, Brian Longoria, Joe Longoria and George Longoria.
Visitation will be from 7 to 8 p.m. Tuesday, June 26, at the funeral home.
Survivors include his wife and parents, all of Denton; one daughter, Kristina Michele Allen of Denton; two sons, Danny Wayne Allen and Karl Davis Allen, both of Denton; one brother, Eddie Carl Allen of Denton; and two grandchildren.
Leona Brewer
Leona Mae Brewer, 94, of Denton died Sunday, June 24, 2001, at Denton Rehabilitation and Nursing Center.
She was born Oct. 25, 1906, in Mountain Springs to Clarence Eugene and Lyda Mae (Davis) Brewer.
Ms. Brewer was a retired secretary. She was a graduate of Texas University (now the University of Texas), and was a former member of the Business and Professional Woman's Club, Desk and Derrick, and the Altrusa Clubs.
She was a member of First Christian Church in Archer City and a former member of the Business Woman's Class.
A graveside service will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday, June 26, in the Archer City Cemetery in Archer City. Goen-Hudgens Funeral Home of Denton is in charge of arrangements.
She is survived by one sister, Lucille Eggleston of Denton.

Bobby Corn, 43, of Denton died Sunday, June 24, 2001, at Denton Regional Medical Center.

Zula Eason
Alvord - Zula Bell Eason, 83, of Alvord died Saturday, June 23, 2001, in Bowie.
She was born Oct. 18, 1917, in Wise County. She married Alvis N. Eason in Bowie on Dec. 21, 1935. He preceded her in death.
Mrs. Eason was a homemaker, and was a member of the Union Hill Baptist Church and the Order of the Eastern Star.
A service will be held at 2 p.m. Tuesday, June 26, at the First Baptist Church of Alvord. Gentry Castleman will officiate, assisted by Ken Cates. Burial will be in Alvord Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Pat Campbell, Ricky Tow, Eddie Grundy, Douglas Jones, Lane Eason, Larry Eason and Jason Eason.
Visitation will be from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. today, June 25, at Coker Funeral Home in Decatur.
Survivors include one son, C. Curtis Eason of Huntsville, Alab.; one daughter, Lue Ella Jones of Alvord; one brother, O.C. Harper of Nocona; nine grandchildren; 24 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild.
Ida Keel
Pilot Point - Ida Mae Keel, 89, of Pilot Point died Sunday, June 24, 2001, at Kern Manor Nursing Home in Point Point.
She was born Oct. 26, 1911, in Westover to Henry Taylor and Sara Elizabeth Brannan. She married Allen William Keel on Dec. 20, 1930. He died Jan. 24, 1996.
Mrs. Keel was a homemaker.
She was a member of Calvary Baptist Church in Pilot Point.
A graveside service will be held at 10:30 a.m. Thursday, June 28, at the Rising Star Heritage Cemetery in Rising Star. Dr. Roger Marsh and the Rev. Calvin White will officiate.
Her grandsons will serve as pallbearers.
Visitation will be from 7:30 to 8:30 p.m. Tuesday, June 26, at Huff/Slay Funeral Home in Pilot Point.
Survivors include four daughters, Lois Laumen of Pilot Point, Priscella Thetford of Whitesboro, Nell Welch of College Station, and Allie Mae Trammell of Springerville, Ariz.; 11 grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.

Ethel F. Robinson
Ethel Fay Robinson, 82, of Denton, went to be with her Savior by God's Love and Grace on Saturday, June 23, 2001. She was surrounded by family and friends as she peacefully left this world.
Ethel was born on Feb. 13, 1919, to Ed and Bithey (Howard) Sons in Oklahoma. She married Don Bee Robinson on May 14, 1938. He passed away on Nov. 3, 1987. She is survived by her son Donald Lee Robinson and wife Wanda of Pilot Point and his children Randy and wife Sandra Robinson of Argyle, Kim and husband Bill Stewart of McKinney, Gayla of Krum, Tammie and husband Jamie Hackler of Phoenix, Ariz., and six step-grandchildren. She is also survived by her son John Doyle Robinson and wife Pat of Cross Roads and their children Stephenia and husband Brett Ottinger of Cross Roads and Staff Sgt. Stephen Robinson of Hurlburt Field, Fla. She is survived by her daughter Darlene Krone and husband R.D. of Denton and their children Roger Krone of Bedford and Sherry and husband Ron Arrington of Denton. She loved her great grandchildren Brandon and Samantha Stewart, Adam and Josh Parsons, Maygen Stepkin, Craig, Monty and Luke Ottinger, Meghann Robinson, Patrick and Mikayla Hall, along with 18 step-grandchildren. She also loved her great-great-grandson Collin Stewart as well as three step-great-great-grandchildren. She is survived by a brother Wille Sons of Justin, and sisters Florene Sons of McKinney, Ola Robinson of Denton and Lola Copeland of Denton, as well as numerous nieces and nephews. She is also truly blessed to be survived by her wonderful life-long neighbor Reba Carter and her children Eddie, Scott, Shawn, Tina and Jimmy. She was preceded in death by two brothers and three sisters. She was a member of the Green Valley Community Church.
The family will be at the funeral home for visitation from 7 to 9 p.m. Monday night.
Services will be held at 2 p.m. Tuesday afternoon, June 26, in the chapel of Mulkey-Mason, Jack Schmitz and Son Funeral Home with Brother R.J. "Dick" Guiditis and Wendell Lillard officiating. She will be laid to rest beside her husband at Roselawn Memorial Park.
Pallbearers will be Craig and Monty Ottinger, Oliver Patterson and Eddie, Scott and Shawn Carter.
Honorary pallbearers will be Luke Ottinger, Patrick Hall and the Denton Firefighters.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the following: the Southwestern Diabetic Foundation or the American Diabetes Association.
Proverbs 31:28 says "Her children rise up and bless her." We thank God for allowing us the awesome privilege of knowing her as Momma, Ethel, Aunt Ethel, Gran, and Granny. We also thank God for his awesome Grace in taking her home to be with Him in glory. We will miss you Granny!

Bobby Corn
Bobby Wayne Corn, 43, of Denton died Sunday, June 24, 2001, at Denton Regional Medical Center.
He was born Feb. 21, 1958, in Denton to Bobby Ray Corn and Joyce Nell Thompson. He attended Denton public schools and was an Eagle Scout.
Mr. Corn was disabled and had worked in construction.
He attended both Baptist and Pentecostal churches.
A graveside service will be held at 10 a.m. Wednesday, June 27, at Cooper Creek Cemetery. The Rev. Buddy Owens will officiate. Mulkey-Mason, Jack Schmitz and Son Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
Pallbearers will be Bobby Corn Jr., James Erwin, David Erwin, Johnny Thompson, Ted Thompson, Gary Parker, Tommy Parker, Johnny Chandler and Martin Cain.
Survivors include his parents, Joyce and James Erwin of Denton; two sons, Benjamin Wade Corn of Lafayette, Mo., and Bobby Wayne Corn Jr. of Austin; three sisters, Vickie Lynn Landers of Winnsboro, Margaret Lee Hardesty of Tulsa, Okla., and Denise Sales of Denton; one brother, David Erwin of Indianapolis, Ind.; his grandmothers, Hazel Thompson of Denton, Opal Corn of Winnsboro and Bessie Erwin of Denton; and one grandson.

Paradise - Claude Lanier, 81, of Paradise died Monday, June 25, 2001, at Wise Regional Health System in Decatur.
He was born Sept. 26, 1919, in Montague County.
Mr. Lanier was a ranch hand.
A graveside service will be held at 1 p.m. Wednesday, June 27, at Paradise Cemetery, in Paradise. Joe Motsenbocker will officiate. Coker Funeral Home of Decatur is in charge of arrangements.
He had no survivors.
Margaret McNatt
Wautauga - Margaret Revell "Shorty" McNatt, 93, of Watauga died Monday, June 25, 2001, at her home.
She was born March 12, 1908, to Charles Henry and Molly Frances Brockett Sikes. On Nov. 27, 1926, she married J.A. McNatt in Aubrey. He died July 8, 1989.
Mrs. McNatt retired as a registered nurse having worked at Flow Hospital in Denton and All Saints Hospital in Fort Worth.
She was a member of Haltom City Nazarene Church.
Survivors include two daughters, Frances Ryals of Watauga and Sissy Frady Hamlin of Lewisville; three sons, Buster McNatt of Madill, Okla., James McNatt of Carthage and Bill McNatt of Hico; 15 grandchildren; 35 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild.
A service will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday, June 27, at Haltom City Nazarene Church. The Revs. Cliff Reneau and Jim Graham will officiate. Burial will follow in Belew Cemetery in Aubrey.
The family will receive friends from 7 to 9 p.m. tonight, Tuesday, June 26, at Mulkey-Mason Funeral Home in Lewisville.

Matthew W. Wright, 81, of Denton died Monday, June 25, 2001, at Baylor University Hospital in Dallas.

Joseph E. Smith
Joseph E. Smith, 73, of Fort Walton Beach, Fla., passed away suddenly at a local hospital there on Friday, June 15, 2001.
Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. Tuesday, June 19, at Little Chapel Funeral Home with Stephen Olivier officiating. Following services, burial was in Beal Memorial Cemetery with full military honors. Little Chapel Funeral Home, 910 Beal Parkway, Fort Walton Beach, Fla., was in charge of arrangements.
Mr. Smith was born on Feb. 25, 1928, in Floyd, Texas, to Haynes B. Smith and Hinda Bumpass Smith. The family moved to Denton in 1936 where Mr. Smith attended Denton schools, was a 1946 graduate of Denton High School and attended North Texas State Teachers College.
Upon entering the military service, he honorably served his country in the U.S. Air Force and was a veteran of both the Korean and Vietnam wars.
He had been a resident of the Fort Walton Beach area since 1967, when he returned from Okinawa, choosing this area for his retirement home. After retirement from the military, he worked for Centel and later retired from there in 1988. He was a Baptist. He was a member of the local metal detecting club and often assisted the sheriff's office in this capacity. He enjoyed hunting, skeet shooting, and had a real passion for the rodeo. He loved horses from an early age, began horseback riding in his youth and continued this interest throughout his life. He will be greatly missed by his family and many friends.
Survivors include his wife of 48 years, Patricia of Fort Walton Beach; daughters Sandy J. Smith of Baker, Fla., and Cheryl and husband Greg Jones of Atlanta, Ga.; two grandchildren, Evan and Allison Jones; brother, Haynes B. Smith Jr. and wife Dorothy; sister, Bessie Lou Dobson and husband Buddy of Denton; brothers-in-law, John Ed Balentine of Gainesville, Texas, Howard Kelly of Denton; sister-in-law, Evelyn Smith of Durant, Okla.; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Mr. Smith was preceded in death by his parents; sisters Louise N. Graham, Vern L. Smith, Sue T. Murphy, O. Jeanette Balentine, and Peggy B. Kelly; and brother William C. Smith.
