She was born May 2, 1911 in Copenhagen, Denmark to the late Emil and Johanne Hansen Svensson.
She is survived by: son, Paul Jensen of Houston; daughter, Nancy Jo Vanover of Houston; four grandchildren and three great grandchildren.

Johnnie A. Trochta of El Campo died September 22, 2007 at the age of 82.
He was born December 1, 1924 in League City to the late John and Frances Mozicek Trochta.
He was associated with Butler Grimes and Ben Franklin Stores in Bay City and El Campo for 60 years. He was a Navy veteran of WWII, a member of St. Philip Catholic Church, charter member of the Knights of Columbus in Freeport, member of the Knights of Columbus in El Campo since 1954, American Legion Post 251, charter member of the BEE’s, former member of the Lions Club and Elks Lodge, and had served on the El Campo Planning and Zoning Board.

Ignacio Morales Garcia, 93, of Bay City passed away Wednesday September 19, 2007.
He was born June 20, 1914 in Cuero to the late Domingo and Hilaria Morales Garcia. Mr. Garcia was a life long resident of Bay City, and a faithful member of Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church. He also was a member of the: Knights of Columbus, 4th Degree, St. Mary’s Star of The Sea General Assembly in Freeport and 3rd Degree of Council 3070 in Bay City, Woodman of the World Lodge # 0168, and the 100 Club of Matagorda County.

Guadalupe Molano, 70, of Van Vleck passed away Wednesday, September 19, 2007.
She was born October 3, 1936 to the late Gregorio and Catarina Cervantes Molano. Mrs. Molano has been a resident of Van Vleck for the past eight years, and she previously resided in Austin.
Mrs. Molano is survived by: two daughters, Eva Marie Rivera of Uvalde and Diana Montalvo and husband Alberto, Sr. of Van Vleck; three sons, Rudy Leal, Sr. and wife Matilda Garcia of Austin, Danny Leal, Sr. and wife Patricia of Rosenberg, and Michael Leal, Sr. and wife Janie of Austin; four sisters, Dora Cantu of Houston, Esperanza “Hope” Morin of Belton, Loida Guillen of Baytown, and Norma Orosco of Baytown; two brothers, Raymond Molano of Eagle Lake and Frank Molano of Fort Worth; 13 grandchildren, Jonathan Rivera, Gabriel Rivera, Christi Salinas, Rebecca Leal, Rudy Leal, Jr., Danny Leal, Jr., Patrick Leal, Manuel Leal, Ashley Marie Leal, Michael Angel Leal, Jr., Kristie Lee Carrera, Cheri Beth Pesina, and Alberto Montalvo, Jr.; and 19 great grandchildren.
Paul (Pug) Drannon Harvey

Paul (Pug) Drannon Harvey was born to Elijah and Stella Mae Harvey in Broaddus, Texas on May 11, 1927 and passed away Saturday Sept. 16, 2007 at his residence.
He graduated from Van Vleck High School where he was involved in basketball, track and football. He served with the U.S. Army in World War II and the Korean War.

Funeral services for Evelina Holmes, 97, of Cedar Lane, will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, September 22, 2007 at the St. Mark Baptist Church, Cedar Lane, with the Rev. H. L. Hawkins, pastor. Burial will follow at Paradise Cemetery in Brazoria.
Visitation will be from 2 until 8 p.m. Friday at the chapel.

Nancy Seerden Jennings, 68, of Sweeny passed away September 7, 2007.
She was born November 17, 1938 in Bay City, Texas to the late Capt Seerden and Louise Hale Seerden. She was a former longtime resident of San Antonio. She graduated from Bay City High School in 1957 and earned a full music scholarship to attend Southwest University in Georgetown. She taught music for many years and inspired everyone around her without effort. She will be greatly missed by everyone, including her cat Susie.

He was born December 8, 1926 in Denton, Texas to the late John Huey Keenon and Elizabeth McGuire Keenon.
He had been a resident of Matagorda County since 1962 and was a school teacher and administrator for Van Vleck ISD and Garwood ISD.

Carroll Lee Nelson, Jr., age 44 of Frisco, Texas passed away after a long battle with ALS (Lou Gehrig’s Disease).
Carroll was born on August 1, 1963 in Fort Worth, Texas to Carroll Lee and Shirley Jane (Matlock) Nelson. He married Lizabeth Mailhos on March 2, 1984 in Bay City.
He worked as a Franchise Operations Manager in the Food Industry and was a member of the Roman Catholic Faith.

Eli C. Mayfield, 87 of Palacios, passed away Sunday, June 25, 2006.
He was born October 13, 1918 in Shongaloo, Louisiana to the late James T. Mayfield and Rosa McEachern Mayfield.
Eli Mayfield came to Palacios in 1941 when he was stationed at Camp Hulen. He met Wanda Fields who became his wife and soul mate. After his military service he attended law school at the University of Houston graduating in 1952 and opened a law office in Palacios. Eli continued to serve his country as Commanding officer of the Army Reserve Unit of Palacios until it disbanded in 1953.

Joe E. Rogers died peacefully at Alz Care in Victoria on June 25, 2006.
Joe Ellis Rogers was born on May 18, 1916 in Greenville, Texas; the son of Joe Mack Rogers and Bessie Clark Rogers. After graduating from Greenville High school he attended North Texas State University on a football scholarship, receiving a B.S. degree in economics. He coached at Whitney High School and Newcastle High School until World War II was eminent. He was then drafted into the Army Air Force, where he served for four and one half years. He was a member of the Eighth Air Force and was based in England for three of the almost five years he served his country.

He was born June 30. 1962 at John Sealy Hospital in Galveston, Texas. He is the son of Alberto G. Alameda Sr. and Paula G. Alameda of Bay City.
He was a fabricator welder and was employed by AM forklift.
In addition to his parents, he is survived by: four sons, Augustine Alameda Jr. of Bay City, Paul Angel Alameda of Longview, Texas, Craig Dintaman and Cory Dintaman both of Mt. Pleasant, Michigan; and one daughter, Crystal Marie Alameda of Bay City; two brothers, Alberto G. Alameda Jr. of Van Vleck, Texas and Ruben Alameda Sr of Bay City; and one sister, Juanita Alameda Gonzalez of Bay City; seven nephews, Eddie Alameda, Albert "Guero" Alameda III, Israel Alameda, Julian G. Alameda, Samuel Gonzalez, Jr., Ruben Alameda Jr., and Eric Canales; two nieces, Marisol Gonzalez Baltazar and Amanda Tennant and also five granddaughters.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Patricia Sue Alameda and daugther Chey Ann Dintaman.
Funeral services will be held in Bay City at Green's Mortuary from noon until 8 p.m. on Wednesday and on Thursday at 10 a.m.
