Gladys and Wilton (deceased) have four daughters--Virginia and F.A. Corley of Eustace; Gwendolyn and Nathan Patterson of Haskell; Sharon and Carl Huber of Hobbs, N.M. and Camelia ‘Camay’ and Glenn Jennings of Thousand Oaks, Calif.
In addition to their daughters, there are 15 grandchildren, 34 great-grandchildren and 15 great-great-grandchildren to complete the family.
After Wilton and his business partner--Jeff Davis, designed and patented the first spreader box in the 1950’s, paving construction became the family business.
Wilton and Gladys formed the Thomason Construction Company, Inc. which paved many of the roads and highways throughout Texas and New Mexico.
Gladys served as Vice President, bookkeeper and office manager for many years before the company was sold in the 1980’s.
Gladys was an avid game player. Her highly competitive nature made her a formidable opponent. For many years, you would find her at the Senior Center getting in a fast game of dominoes or ‘42’ before lunch.
Gladys cherished the time that she spent with her family, playing Mexican Train, Skip Bo and Wahoo. She loved life and family and she will be missed dearly.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband in 2002; four brothers--Earl, Arp, Zack and Bob Farrell and by two grandsons--Michael Lee Lloyd in 1959 and Randy Gene Huber in 1995.
