Eula Mae Wilson, 93, of Fort Worth died Friday, May 14, 2004 in North Richland Hills.
Funeral services will be held 2 p.m., Tuesday, May 18 at Bates-Cooper Chapel with Dr. Gaylon Riddle officiating. Interment will be in Lone Star Cemetery under the direction of Bates-Cooper Funeral Home. Pallbearers will be grandsons.
Mrs. Wilson was born Jan. 10, 1911 in Titus County to Warren and Dicie ABetty@ Norrell McGee. She worked for Tarrant Cleaning Services and was a member of East Side Baptist Church in Haltom City.
She is survived by sons and daughters-in-law, Richard and Judy Wilson of Fort Worth and Calvin and Gerri Wilson of Hurst; daughters and sons-in-law, Betty and Howard Ware of Bradeton, Fla., Bonnie and John Solecki of Richland Hills and Lynn and Tom Collett of Burleson; sisters-in-law, Lois McGee of Cookville, Fay McGee of Trinity, Catherine McGee of Paris and Ruby Logan of Pittsburg; 12 grandchildren; 22 great-grandchildren; 24 great-great-grandchildren; nephews, nieces and cousins and friends at Haltom Convalescent.
She was preceded in death by her parents; sister, Pearl Walker; brothers, Lois McGee, Jesse McGee, John McGee, Alvin McGee, Morris McGee and Floyd McGee; daughters Frances Plucinsky and Billy Brumbalow and granddaughter Kathy (Dillard) Rogers formerly of Mount Pleasant.
The family will receive visitors from 7-9 p.m. Monday at the funeral home.
Armstrong
NAPLES C Ella Mae Armstrong, 96, of Naples died Sunday, May 16, 2004 in Naples.
Services will be held at 11a.m. Thursday, May 20 at Norris S. Curry C.M.E. Church, Naples, with the Rev. Harold Wright officiating. Interment will be in the Morning Star Cemetery in Naples under the direction of Tumey Mortuary. Pallbearers will be Jack Martin, Patrick Collins, George Robinson, Mark Munkers, Clifford Turner Jr. and Willie Norman Henderson. Honorary pallbearers are Wesley Turner, Courtney Kelly, Elgin Rashad Kelly, Victor Charles Arthur, Raymond Ellis Jr., Denton Evans and Malik Ellis.
Mrs. Armstrong was born April 19, 1908 in Dalby Springs, the daughter of Columbus McGown and Ethel Patterson. She was a retired domestic worker and was a member of the Pride of Naples, Chapter Number Six, Order of the Eastern Star. She was a member of Dalby Springs Methodist Church and later, Norris S. Curry C.M.E. Church.
She is survived by her two daughters and son-in-law, Mary K. Boyd, and Willie Pearl and Waymon Boyd, all of Naples; five granddaughters and spouses, Melba J. Wilson of Kansas City, Mo., Linda K. Kelly of Omaha, Loretta F. Boyd Arthur and Victor of Naples, Joyce W. Boyd of Mesquite, and Stephanie Y. Boyd Hudson and Bryan of Naples; seven great-grandchildren, Jacqueline Turner of Cason, Wesley Turner of Grand Prairie, LaTonja Ellis of Daingerfield, Courtney Kelly of Allen, Rashad Kelly of Omaha, Anglia Arthur of Naples, Victor C. Arthur of Crockett, and Denton Evans of Naples; eight great-great-grandchildren; four sisters, Comel Walker of DeKalb, Era Jean McGown and Verline Simms both of Dallas, and LaVonya Adams of Texarkana; two sisters-in-law, Shirley McGown Owens of DeKalb, and Tolethier Petty of Naples; and a host of nieces and nephews, cousins, and special friend Noble Buford; special children, Betty Ruth Ayrs, Cherilyn Mills, and Janie Boles.
She was preceded in death by her parents; two husbands, Todd Perry and Robert (Bob) Armstrong; granddaughter, Beverly Pearl Daniels-Turner; five sisters, and three brothers; and a son-in-law, B.J. Boyd.
No formal visitation with the family is planned, however, Mrs. Armstrong will lie in-state at the funeral home on Wednesday from 10 a.m. - 6 p.m.
Sayles
PITTSBURG C Cleo Sayles, 100, of Pittsburg died Saturday, May 15, 2004 at Pittsburg Nursing Center.
Services will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, May 22 at Johnson Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Charles Thomas officiating. Interment will be in the Hickory Hill Cemetery in Pittsburg. Pallbearers will be Marlon Peoples, Grady D. Cummings, Michael Bennett, Tommy E. Peoples, Aubrey Hill and Alex Johnson. Honorary pallbearers are Cochise H. Cash, Morris Peoples, Willie Peoples, Jimmy Johnson, Lee Dell Johnson and Earl Sayles.
Mrs. Sayles was born Aug. 13, 1903 in Camp County, the daughter of Alice Strickland Johnson and Willie Johnson. She was a homemaker and member of Living Green Baptist Church.
She is survived by Cochise H. Cash (raised as a son) of Dallas; sister, Earnestine Peoples of Pittsburg; and brother, Goree Johnson of Pittsburg; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
She was preceded in death by her husband, parents, brothers, sisters, aunts and uncles.
Brown
Elva J. Brown, 68, of Mount Pleasant died Tuesday, May 18, 2004 in Winnsboro.
Services will be held at 10 a.m. Thursday, May 20 at Bates-Cooper Chapel and graveside service at 5 p.m. at Garden of Memories in Stephenville. Bro. Larry Bilbo will officiate the chapel service and Ronnie Barnett will officiate the graveside service. Interment will be under the direction of Bates-Cooper Funeral Home. Honorary pallbearers are Andy Brown, Randy Pack, Jimmy Bonner, A.D. Neal, Gene Lambert and Jim Buchanan.
Mrs. Brown was born April 4, 1936 in Farie, the daughter of Wallace Marion and Donna Alice Hendricks Grant. She was a retired dispatcher for the police and sheriff departments. She was also owner/self-employed of a ceramic shop. She belonged to the Pleasant Sams Camp Group and the Porcelain & Ceramic Association of Arkansas.
She is survived by her husband, Ted Brown of Mount Pleasant; son, Andy Brown of LeFores; two daughters and sons-in-law, Marion and Randy Pack of Aledo, and Debbie and Jimmy Bonner of Fort Worth; five grandchildren; a brother, Charles Grant of Houston; and numerous nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; and brothers, Clovis Grant and Roger Grant.
The family will receive friends and family from 7 - 9 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.
Fountain
MOUNT VERNON C Ashley Delaine Fountain, 19, of Mount Vernon died Sunday, May 16, 2004 in Mount Vernon.
Services will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, May 21 at Denton Baptist Church in Mount Vernon with the Rev. J.D. Hawkins officiating. Interment will be in the Denton Cemetery under the direction of Tumey Mortuary.
Miss Fountain was born Aug. 24, 1984 in Mount Vernon, the daughter of James Wayne and Carolen Fountain. She attended Mount Vernon ISD, was a member at Hilltop Baptist Church and worked as a laborer.
She is survived by her parents, James and Carolen Fountain of Mount Vernon; her grandmothers, Mildred Fountain of Mount Vernon, and Dorothy Criddle of Mount Pleasant; two daughters, Tupasia S. Mitchell and Dasia Mitchell both of Mount Vernon; a brother, James L. Fountain of Navasota; three sisters, Candee Fountain Manzano and La Christa Fountain both of Mount Vernon, and Yeronica Craddock of Longview; and a host of other relatives and friends.
Miss Fountain will lie in-state at the funeral home from 10 a.m.-7 p.m. Thursday, The family will receive visitors from 6-7 p.m.
Hix
YUBA, Okla. C Mary Lou Hix, 84, of Yuba died Monday, May 17, 2004 in Mount Pleasant.
Services will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday, May 20 at Yuba Baptist Church with the Rev. Joe Smith and Tandy Hix officiating. Interment will be in the Rosewood Cemetery in Achille, Okla. Pallbearers will be her nephews.
Mrs. Hix was born Tuesday, April 27, 1920 in Yuba, Okla. the daughter of Leonard and Emma (Hamilton) Miller. She served on the election board in Yuba for many years. She was a long time member of the Yuba Baptist Church.
She is survived by her two sons and daughters-in-law, Hall Hix Jr. and wife Pat of Mount Pleasant, and David Hix and wife Peggy of Bonham; daughter and son-in-law, Rosemary Brown and husband J.C. of Magnolia; grandchildren, Judith Hix, Alan Hix and Adam Hix, all of Mount Pleasant, Misty Henry of Honey Grove, Mikayle Morland of Mesquite, Jason Brown of Ft. Bragg, N.C., and Lindsey Brown of Denver, Colo.; a sister, Kathleen Pruitt of Watauga; six great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Hall Hix Sr.; brothers, R. J. Miller, Lee (Rink) Miller.
The family will receive friends and relatives at the home of Mary Lou Hix from 6 - 8 p.m. Wednesday.

Cobb
NAPLES C J. D. Cobb, 80, of Naples died Saturday, May 22, 2004 in Mount Pleasant.
Services will be held at 2 p.m. Tuesday, May 25 at Daniels Chapel Methodist Church with the Rev. Tommy Weams and the Rev. Dominic Crescimanno officiating. Interment will be in the Bryans Mill Cemetery under the direction of Alexander Funeral Home. Pallbearers will be Adam Cobb, Chris Cobb, Josh Cobb, Richard Tuck, Forrest Clair and Richard D. Tuck.
Mr. Cobb was born March 9, 1924 in Naples, the son of Walter and Ethel Cobb. He was a member of the First Baptist Church and a veteran of the U.S. Navy in World War II. He was a retired employee of Lone Star Steel and a lifetime resident of Naples. He was a longtime member of the Naples Volunteer Fire Dept.
He is survived by his wife, Patricia Brock Cobb of Naples; two sons and daughters-in-law, Rick and Sally Cobb of Bryans Mill, and Dale and Gayla Cobb of Rocky Branch; five grandchildren, Adam Cobb of Naples, Heather and Richard Tuck of Flower Criswell
CLEVELAND, Tenn. C Audrey Elder Criswell, 77, of Cleveland, Tenn. died Tuesday, May 18, 2004 at her residence.
Services will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday, May 27 at Church of God of Prophecy, Sugar Hill with the Rev. Phillip Lawson officiating. Interment will be in the DeShields Cemetery under the direction of Bates-Cooper Funeral Home.
Mrs. Criswell and her husband Bishop Burris Criswell worked together actively in the ministry for the Church of God of Prophecy for many years, during which time they pastored churches in Wisconsin, Northern New England, New Mexico and Southwest Texas. She was a member of the Sugar Hill Church of God of Prophecy.
She is survived by her husband of 56 years, Bishop Burris Criswell; one son, Lany Criswell of Cleveland, Tenn.; three daughters and sons-in-law, Lawana and Doyle Hughes of Cleveland, Tenn., Rachel and Darrell Underwood of Wasilla, Alaska, and Rozan and the Rev. Johnny McDaniel of West Palm Beach, Fla.; nine grandchildren, and three great-grandchildren.
The family will receive visitors at 10 a.m. Thursday at the Church of God of Prophecy in Sugar Hill.
Edwards
WINNSBORO C Jacob Dillian Lee Edwards, infant, died Saturday May 22, 2004 in Sulphur Springs.
A graveside service will be held at 10 a.m. Tuesday, May 25 at the Bridges Chapel Cemetery with Bro. Scott Darby officiating. Bates-Cooper Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
He was born May 22, 2004 the son of Jack and Tonia Edwards Jr. of Winnsboro.
He is survived by his parents; grandparents, Gloria and Chuck Jordan of Pittsburg, and Jack and Leona Edwards of Pittsburg.
He was preceded in death by his grandfather, Clarence Lee Winterhalter.
No visitation is planned.
Kelly
Zelma Virginia Kelly, 84, of Mount Pleasant died Saturday, May 22, 2004 in Mount Pleasant.
Services will be held at 10 a.m. Tuesday, May 25 at Bates-Cooper Funeral Home Chapel with William Parkey officiating. Interment will be in the Garland Cemetery in Annona under the direction of Bates-Cooper Funeral Home. Pallbearers will be Bill Watts, Bob Palmer, Russ Pelham, Joe Moss, John Etheridge and O.M. Adams.
Mrs. Kelly was born Jan. 15, 1920 in Mount Ida, Ark. the daughter of Alfred and Eva Scott Anderson. She was a registered nurse serving in the Army Nurse Corp during World War II and the Korean War. She was a member of the First Christian Church.
She is survived by her granddaughter, Michelle Kelly of North Carolina; two brothers, Glen Anderson and A.G. Anderson both of Levelland; sister, Mildred Ward of Mount Pleasant; and numerous nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Paul J. Kelly Sr. in 1981; son Paul J. Kelly Jr. in 1994; her parents and three sisters.

WINFIELD C Patricia Miller, 52, of Winfield died Saturday, May 22, 2004 in Mount Pleasant.

Interment will be in the Winfield Cemetery under the direction of Bates-Cooper Funeral Home. She was born July 25, 1951 in Prairie County, Miss., the daughter of Hazel Pipkins and Herman Pipkins. She was a homemaker and a member of the Winfield First Baptist Church.
She is survived by her husband, Mike Miller of Winfield; her mother, Hazel Pipkins of Beaumont, Miss.; son and daughter-in-law, Chris and Amy Miller of Mount Pleasant; daughter and son-in-law, Courtney and Brandon Marshall of Mount Pleasant; grandchildren, Morgan Miller, Kristian and Cullen Marshall, all of Mount Pleasant; five brothers and sisters-in-law, Houston and Mary Pipkins, Paul David and Carolyn Pipkins, Keith and Lynn Pipkins, Albert Dean and Darlene Pipkins, and Leo and Sharon Pipkins all of Beaumont, Miss.; sister and brother-in-law, Nita and Paul Miller of Winfield; father-in-law and mother-in-law, Albert and Wanda Miller of Winfield; numerous nieces and nephews.
Preceded in death by her father, Herman Pipkins; sister, Myrtis Pipkins; grandparents, Papa George and MamawIllie, Grandpaw Willie and Grandma Essie.
