MOUNT VERNON - Luis Perales, 60, of Mount Vernon, died Sunday, June 3, 2001 at East Texas Medical Center in Tyler.
A memorial service was held at 5:30 p.m. Saturday, June 9 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Mount Vernon.
Mr. Perales was born March 9, 1941 in Matamoros, Mexico. He was a retired limousine driver. He was a Catholic.
He is survived by his father Guadalupe Perales of Leesburg; sister Rosalinda Sager of Leesburg.
Rhymes
Castel (C.S.) Rhymes Jr., 60, of Titus County, died Sunday, June 3, 2001 at Titus Regional Medical Center.
Funeral services were at 1 p.m. Saturday, June 9 at Blundis Creek Baptist Church. The Rev. D.L. Fluellenl officiated. Interment was in Blundis Creek Cemetery under the direction of Tumey Mortuary. Pallbearers were Delbert Jeffery, Marvin Joe Justice, A.J. Lewis, Dewey Traylor, Carl Green and Greg Rhymes. Honorary pallbearers were be James Rhymes, Billy Rhymes, Neal Jones and Bill Jeffery.
Mr. Rhymes was born Feb. 6, 1941 in Mount Pleasant, the son of Castel Rhymes and Odessa (Collins) Rhymes. He was a affiliated with Washington Avenue Baptist Church in Springfield, Mo. and Blundis Creek Baptist Church in Mount Pleasant. He attended school at Booker T. Washington in Mount Pleasant and Lincoln High School in Springfield, Mo.
He is survived by his brothers and sisters-in-law James and Nancy Rhymes of Fort Worth, Billy and Joyce Rhymes of Kansas City, Mo.; grandmother Rosetta Collins of Mount Pleasant; aunts Catherine Collins of Mount Pleasant, Madie Johnson of Sanford, Fla., Rosalie Johnson of Dallas, Zenobia Russell of Phoenix, Ariz.; uncles Lloyd D. Rhymes of Mount Pleasant, Bobby Jack Rhymes, Clayton Rhymes, J.T. Rhymes, all of Phoenix, Ariz., A.C. Rhymes of Peoria, Ill.; special nephew Greg Rhymes of Kansas City, Mo.; special cousin Clara Bates of Mount Pleasant; numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents; grandfather B.R. Collins; grandparents Cuen and Eva Rhymes.
Ryan
Jesse Ryan , 80, of Vivian, La., and a native of Titus County, died Thursday, June 7, 2001 near Caddo Lake.
Services were held Sunday, June 10 at Curry-Welborn Chapel. Officiating wasBro. Tommy Horn. Interment was at Union Hill Cemetery.
Pallbearers were Dudley Henderson, Kenneth Cross, James Hindsman, Gerald Hindsman, Greg Ryan and Tony McLain.
Born Dec. 12, 1920 in Titus County, Mr Ryan was the son of Johnny V. Ryan and Minnie Cle Crook Ryan. He was a Civil Service inspector for the U. S. Government and had served in the U. S. Army.
Survivors include his wife, Mary Ryan of Vivian, La.; brothers Hoot Ryan and Lewis Ryan and sisters, Ethel Hilderbrand, Flossie Sweeney, Syble Terry and Addie Lockaby.. He was preceded in death by brothers, Bill Ryan, J. R. Ryan, Perry Ryan and Glenn Ryan and sisters, Nola Stanley and Jimmy Price.

Snider
Mrs. Louette Couch Snider, 93, of Pittsburg died Saturday, June 9, 2001 at Pittsburg Nursing Center.
Graveside services were held at 2 p. m. on Sunday, June 10 at Masonic Cemetery. Bates-Cooper Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
Born March 29, 1908 in Camp County, Mrs. Snider was the daughter of William Thomas Couch and Loucendie White Couch. She was a homemaker.
Survivors include numerous nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents and her husband, Herman Snider.
Walker
BLOOMBURG - Arthur I. “Otto” Walker, 76, of Bloomburg, died Sunday, June 3, 2001 in Atlanta.
Funeral services were at 2 p.m. Wednesday, June 6 at Atlanta Baptist Church. The Revs. Joe Brown, Pat Griffin and Mike Sheppard officiated. Interment was in Laws Chapel Cemetery in Cass County under the direction of Hanner Funeral Service in Atlanta.
Mr. Walker was born Jan. 12, 1925 in Titus County. He served in the U.S. Army during World War II and was retired from Safeway Grocery Co. He was a member of the Teamsters Union Local 745 in Dallas and of the Atlanta Baptist Church.
He is survived by his wife Helen Walker of Bloomburg; son and daughter-in-law Mike and Rita Sheppard of Atlanta; daughter Patricia Ann Ramo of Fort Worth; brothers and sister-in-law Jerry and Pat Walker of Mesquite, Mike Walker of Conroe; sisters and brother-in-law Ann Overall, Peggy Trayhan, both of Conroe, Linda and Gene Questa of Houston; grandchildren Renee Williams of Atlanta, Rickey Quicksall of Arlington; great-grandchildren Samantha Williams, April Renee Quicksall.

DAINGERFIELD - Brandon Warren, 13, of Daingerfield, died Friday, June 8, 2001 in Daingerfield.
Funeral services were at 2 p.m. Tuesday, June 12 at Morning Star Baptist Church. The Rev. Johnny King officiated. Interment was in Morning Star Cemetery in Naples under the direction of Reeder-Davis Funeral Home.
Mr. Warren was born Nov. 25, 1987 in Naples. He was a Baptist and a student in Daingerfield schools.
He is survived by his mother and step-father Delondra and Barry Whetsone of Daingerfield; father Rickey Hill of Dallas; sisters Erica Warren, Shametria Warren, both of Daingerfield, Tanyana Warren, Kameshia Warren, Shemelia Warren, Mia Hill, Shatia Hill, all of Dallas; brothers Kenronta Warren, Rickey Hill Jr., both of Dallas; grandparents Hazel Evans of Dallas, Ida Hill of Naples; numerous other relatives.
Williams
Kenneth O. Williams, 67, of Mount Pleasant, died Tuesday, June 5, 2001 at his residence.
Funeral services were at 10 a.m. Friday, June 8 at Bates-Cooper Funeral Home Chapel. Interment was in Forest Lawn Memorial Park. Pallbearers were Mr. Williams’ nephews.
Mr. Williams was born July 21, 1933 in Mount Vernon. He was employed with Williams Used Cars. He was a veteran of the U.S. Air Force, serving in the Korean War.
He is survived by his wife June Williams of Mount Pleasant; daughters and sons-in-law Gail and Greg Blair of Omaha, Gay and Ricky Poole of Mount Pleasant, Misti and Kenneth Henley of Dallas; brother and sister-in-law Bo and Barbara Williams of Mount Pleasant; sister and brother-in-law Mary Ann and Doyce Shumate of Searcy, Ark.; grandchildren Beth Derrick of Omaha, Melissa Poole of Mount Pleasant, Chassidy Vissering of Naples; great-grandchildren Stephanie and Clayton Vissering of Naples; step-great grandchild Courtney Blair of Omaha. He was preceded in death by his father Horace “Bunch” Jennings Williams; mother Virginia Keith Williams; two infant children.

Chloie Story Williams , 91, of Mount Pleasant died Saturday morning, June 9., 200l at East Texas Medical Center in Pittsburg.
Funeral services were at 2 p.m. Monday, June 11 at Bates-Cooper Funeral Home Chapel. Larry Bilbo and Bob Arnold officiated.
Internment was in Concord Cemetery near Omaha.
Pallbearers were Rick Harris, Billy Ayers, Doyce Martin, Troy Gibbs, Burton Neugent, and James Johnson.
Honorary pallbearers were Weldon Miller, M. J. Barnard, Clayton Bellamy and O.L. Copeland.
Chloie Williams was born Feb. 28, 1910 in Cookville, the daughter of Lula Wall Story and Charlie S. Story. She grew up in Omaha, Tex. and in 1925 she married Morris C. Williams. She was an LVN and worked at Titus County Hospital in the 1950’s and 1960’s She also did private duty in nursing in the Dallas area. She is a member of the Southside Church of Christ.
Mrs. Williams is survived by two sons and their wives, James and Joyce Williams of Mount Pleasant, Billy and Grace Williams of Spring Grove, Pa.; a sister, Louise Madrie of Hodges, Ala.. 17 grandchildren, 28 great grandchildren and three great great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, three sisters, her husband, Morris Williams, three bothers, Harold , Raymond and Floyd Story, daughter, Doris Joy and son, Robby Williams.
Zachary
PITTSBURG - Don Zachary, 75, of Pittsburg, died Monday, June 4, 2001 at East Texas Medical Center in Tyler.
Funeral services were at 2 p.m. Wednesday, June 6 at First Baptist Church in Pittsburg. The Rev. Steve Packer officiated. Interment was in Pine Forest in Hopkins County under the direction of Erman Smith Funeral Home in Pittsburg. Pallbearers were Wayne Zachary, Bob Zachary, Glen Zachary, Richard Zachary, Jim Zachary and Jack Parker. Honorary pallbearers were Harold Kennington Jr. and J.S. Hackler.
Mr. Zachary was born Oct. 9, 1925 in Franklin County. He was affiliated with the First Baptist Church in Pittsburg and was a member of the Frank Sexton Masonic Lodge in Pittsburg and the Pittsburg R.V. Club. He was retired from Swepco.
He is survived by his wife Virginia Hays Zachary of Pittsburg; mother Rose Gossett Zachary of Mount Vernon; sons and daughters-in-law Fred and Judy Zachary of Flower Mound, Ed and Susan Zachary of Glen Rose; brothers Wayne Zachary of Mount Vernon, Bob Zachary of Winnsboro, Glen Zachary, Richard Zachary, both of Mount Vernon, Jim Zachary of Topeka, Kan.; sisters Nadine Harwell of Ashdown, Ark., Leta Argenbright of Emory, Jeri Mayfield of Gladewater, Joan Burgess of Mesquite; seven grandchildren; four great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his father Ollie Richard Zachary.

LEESBURG - Bennie Anders, 80, of Leesburg, died Friday, March 30, 2001 at Presbyterian Hospital in Winnsboro.
Funeral services were at 2 p.m. Sunday, April 1 at Erman Smith Funeral Home Chapel in Pittsburg. Virgil Faires officiated. Interment was in Leesburg Cemetery. Pallbearers were Larry Cummings, Lee Landers, Wayne Broadstreet, Bobby Jackson, Dennis Hood and Charlie Sparkman.
Mr. Anders was born March 12, 1921 in Darwin, Okla., the son of O.F. Anders and Sarah Jane Weaver Anders. He resided in Camp County most of his life and served in the U.S. Marines during World War II.
He is survived by his wife Eunice Anders of Leesburg; son and daughter-in-law Pat and Carolyn Anders of Pittsburg; step-daughter and son-in-law Paulette and Richard Bazan of Humble; brother Loyd Anders of Wilson; four grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents O.F. Anders and Sarah Jane Weaver Anders.
