James Ronnie Boyd, 58, of Stephenville, died July 28, 2005 at a Fort Worth hospital. Funeral services were held July 30 at Lacy Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Welton Watson officiating. Burial was at Gardens of Memory Cemetery.
He was born Nov. 13, 1946 in Haskell, the son of James Aubrey and Fay (Spalding) Boyd.
Mr. Boyd was married to Carolyn Ruth Kelley on March 4, 1996 in Las Vegas Nev. He was a truck driver.
Survivors include his wife Carolyn Boyd of Stephenville; sons, Ricky Boyd of Hamilton, David Carr and wife Julie of Giddings; daughters, Rhonda Boyd of Houston, Teresa Ratliff and husband Earl of Stephenville, Patricia Clemmer and husband Randy of Stephenville; a brother, Shirl Warner of Anson; a sister, Eudora Coleman of Stamford; seven grandchildren, Brandon Ratliff, Jonathon Ratliff, Jake Ratliff, Eli Ratliff, Sara Ratliff, Charlie Clemmer and Haylie Clemmer.

Mr. Kuykendall
Guy W. Kuykendall died July 26, 2005 in Irving.
He was born in Hamilton County, the son of John T. and Susie Kiser-Kuykendall and lived his young life on the family’s ranch. He later moved to Odessa where he settled with his wife, Beth Owens.
Mr. Kuykendall was a retired postmaster. He served in the U.S. Air Force in the Korean War.
He was preceded in death by his daughter, Theresa Kuykendall-Baugus; his parents; two brothers, Robert and Ward Kuykendall and a sister, Dera Nell Kuykendall.
Survivors include his daughter, Kellie Lou Myers; a grandson, David Stone; a granddaughter, Kimberlee Baugus; a great-granddaughter, Stokley Stone; a sister, Jessie Kuykendall-Endsley; seven nephews, six nieces; a sister-in-law, Waldeen Kuykendall of Gatesville and a cousin, Ruth Burns of Stephenville.

Mr. Randall
William Sherman Randall 91, died July 29, 2005 in Hamilton. Funeral services were held July 31 in the Riley Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Gilbert Donald officiating. Burial was in Gentry Mill Cemetery.
Mr. Randall was born September 29, 1913 in Hasse, the son of the late Homer and Janie Kinard Randall.
He was a former farmer, carpenter, café owner and operator and retired from the Gatesville State School for Boys.
Mr. Randall has served as deacon in the Lamkin and Pottsville Baptist Churches. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather and great-great-grandfather.
He was married to Geneva Mildred Higginbotham in 1929 when they were both sixteen years of age. She preceded him in death with her passing on February 15, 1954.
In 1957 he was married to Esta Penn. She preceded him in death on January 20, 2001.
He is preceded in death by a sister, Ethel Bassett and one brother Troy Randall.
Survivors include one daughter, Joyce Webb and her husband J.R. of Hamilton; three grandchildren, Nelda Duff and her husband Rob of Burnet, Ronnie Andrews and his wife Teri of Houston and Jeannie Doty and her husband Larry of Stephenville; five great-grandchildren, Caleb Duff, Clint Doty, Madison Andrews, Jennifer Doty and Jessica Duff and one great-great-grandson Ethan Duff.
Pallbearers were Milton Fabianke, J.R. Webb, Clint Doty, Caleb Duff, Robert Duff, Keith Suggs.
Honorary Pallbearers were Bryan Bottlinger, Rabbitt Fuqua.

Andrew Scott Moreno
Andrew Scott Moreno died July 29, 2005 in Austin. Graveside funeral services were held July 31. Burial was in Langford Cemetery.
He was born July 25, 2005 in Temple, the son of Christopher Moreno and Tara Andrews who survive him at their home in Evant.
The baby is also survived by a brother, Anthony Moreno of Evant; maternal grandmother, Tawna Andrews of Chandler; paternal grandparents, Jorge and Maria Moreno of Iola; maternal great-grandparents, Frances and Donald Cutright of Chandler and Bonnie and Rufus Andrews Jr. of Killeen; paternal great-grandparents, Jose and Eniz Moreno of Mexico and paternal great-grandparents, Florencia and Matilde Guillen of Bryan.
He is preceded in death by his maternal grandfather Lonnie Andrews.
Pallbearers were Justin Andrews, Brandon Boyd.

Mr. Harper
Ray R. Harper, 80, a Contract Administrator for the Federal Government, died Oct. 14, 2005 at his residence.
Funeral services were held Oct. 20 at the Dallas/Fort Worth National Cemetery, with military Honors.
Mr. Harper was born August 11, 1925 in Roaring Springs, the son of Leslie E. and Lillie Pearl Harper. He was a Navy Veteran of WWII in the South Pacific and very proud of his service.
Survivors include his wife of 60 years, Francis Harper of Fort Worth; sons, Fred Harper and wife Susan of Fort Worth, Mick Harper and wife Suzanne of Corrales, NM and Terry Harper of Wills Point; a grandson, Jesse Smith; a granddaughter, Heather Wilson and husband Kevin; and great-granddaughters, Nina and Tori Wilson.
Memorials may be made to any Alzheimer’s Association.

Jackie Lynn Hinton, 49, died Oct. 20, 2005 at a Temple Hospital. A celebration of the Life of Jackie Hinton was held Monday, Oct 24 at Bethel Assembly of God in Temple with Pastor Elwyn Johnston officiating. Burial was at Temple Garden of Memories.
Mrs. Hinton was born June 27, 1956 at Ellington Air Force Base.
She was the originator and owner of “Hire-A-Hubby” moving services. She was a loving wife, mother, and grandmother. She was a soldier for Christ and a friend to all she met.
Ms. Hinton was an advocate for blood research. She opened her home and her heart as a foster parent for six years, four of which were through the Bell/Lampasas Counties Juvenile Department.
Mrs. Hinton started the Scott & White “Celebrating 2nd Chances” to bring attention to celebrating life and a 2nd chance at life.
Her husband, Otto John Mumme Jr., preceded her in death in June 1988.
Survivors include her husband, Billy Joe Hinton of Temple; her sons, Jeffrey Steven Welch Jr. of Marshall; Jennifer Lynn Hoppe of Enid, Okla.; Jannette Sharlene Galindo of Evant; her step-mother, Carolyn Sue Stone of Rising Star; six brothers, George, Travis, Gerald, Gene, Gregg and Gary Stone and her sisters, Lynda Alvarado of Rosenberg, Susan DeBaun of Gatesville and five grandchildren.
She asked that all who knew and loved her remember her by continuing to give the Gift of Life through blood donation.

Mr. Schrank
Ira August Schrank, 90,
died Oct. 21 at Forest Oaks Nursing Home after a lengthy illness. Services were held Oct. 23, 2005 in St. Paul’s Lutheran Church at Aleman with Pastor Donald Olson officiating. Burial followed in the church cemetery .
Mr. Schrank was born July 17, 1915 in Hamilton County, the son of Albert and Emma Kelm Schrank. On August 22, 1915, he was baptized at St. Paul Lutheran Church in Aleman where he also confirmed his faith in God on May 8, 1929.
On October 28, 1936, he was married to Amanda Marie Melde at their home church, St. Paul Lutheran at Aleman.
Mr. Schrank was a successful farmer and rancher. He received enjoyment and great satisfaction from the beauty of planting and growing crops. Ira loved to tell stories from his youth and life experiences. His sense of humor would shine in the stories giving listeners much enjoyment.
He was an avid fisherman, and he delighted in spending time with his grandchildren. Often there would be a tractor ride to go check the cows with a grandchild sitting in the special designed seat right next to Grandpa.
Having moved to Sweetwater early in their marriage, the couple moved back to their home place in the Aleman Community. There they worked together to build up their farm and home. Raising their sons and working at church were their priorities.
After almost sixty years of marriage, Amanda Schrank passed away May 22, 1996.
Mr. Schrank was married to Opal Hohertz Schrank February 14, 1998. Preceding Mr. Schrank in death were his parents, Albert and Emma, his sister Eli Schrank, and grandson Kevin Schrank.
Survivors include his wife of Hamilton; his sons Leon and wife Ann of College Station, Alan and wife Nelda of Aleman, Marvin and wife Shirley of Hamilton; five stepchildren, Sandra Barnes and husband Don of Arlington, N.L. and wife Gay of Austin, Gayland and wife Billie of Early, Gwen Eilers and husband Melvin of Priddy and Marcia Gore and husband Martin of Comanche; four grandchildren, John Schrank, David Schrank, Karen Schrank Schwarz and Brian Schrank; step grandchildren, Jerry Siepert, Karen Bennett, and David Siepert as well as many great-grandchildren, step great-grandchildren, and step great-great grandchildren.
Pallbearers were John Schrank, David Schrank, Brian Schrank, Daniel Schwarz, Jerry Siepert, and James Sommerfeld.

Mrs. Kemp
Violet Louise Kemp, 80, died Oct. 23, 2005 at Gatesville. Funeral services were held Oct. 25 in the Riley Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Jim Moore officiating. Burial followed in the Pottsville Cemetery.
She was born Nov. 20, 1924 at Pueblo, Colo., the daughter of Elbert and Mary Ella Kissell Tyson.
She was married to Roy Cleveland Harris. He preceded her in death on May 23, 1955.
On October 15, 1965 she was married to T.E. Kemp who preceded her in death with his passing on June 6, 1989.
Mrs. Kemp was a devoted wife, loving mother, grandmother and great-grandmother.
She retired after working for thirty years in the dietary department of Hillcrest Nursing Home.
She is preceded in death by a daughter, Brenda Harris, step-daughter, Sharon Kemp; two sisters, Frances Keller and Elva Hill and two brothers Albert Tyson and J.W. Tyson.
Mrs. Kemp is survived by two children, Barbara Fasani of Gatesville and Keith Kemp of Hamilton; nine grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; one sister, Rose Ella Robinson of Hamilton and one brother, Otis Tyson of Hamilton.
Pallbearers were Jimmy Adams, Dennis Taylor, James Stevens, Leeroy Tyson, Jim Tyson and Randy Wheeler.

Mr. Streater
Garlon Keith Streater, 62, died in Hamilton Friday October 21, 2005. Funeral services were held in the Riley Funeral Home Chapel with Jim Ervin officiating.
Mr. Streater was born August 15, 1943 at Hamilton, the son of the late Garlon and Zora Dell Clark Streater.
He graduated from Fairy High School in 1961 where he was active in 4-H, FFA, six- man football and basketball. He received his Bachelors Degree from Sul Ross State University in 1965.
Mr. Streater taught school at Pottsville prior to entering the Army. He served in Vietnam in 1968, receiving a Purple Heart for injuries during combat. He was an active rodeo cowboy winning his first buckle at the age of nine in Clifton. He was a professional bareback rider, winning many titles including World Champion of the AJRA in 1962.
After Mr. Streater’s retirement he participated in USTRC Team Roping. He was a dedicated teacher in the Eagle Pass Independent School District for 32 years, teaching fourth, fifth and sixth grades, coaching and driving the school bus at Kirchner Elementary in Quemado where he lived.
He took up team roping with encouragement from his good friend Larry Jung. Geral Smith of Colorado provided him a horse and on with the roping. He did well, winning several belt buckles along the way.
Mr. Streater and his wife moved to Hamilton in May of 2005 and he was a member of the Church of Christ.
Survivors include his wife of 30 years, Delia Streater and a daughter, Reanna of Fort Worth; one brother, Mickey Streater and his wife Terri; two sisters, Doris Allison and her husband Tex, all of Hamilton and one sister Shirley New of Lubbock.

Mrs. Landua
Clara Minnie Witschorke Landua, 93, died Oct. 15, 2005 at Hamilton. Funeral services were held St. Paul Lutheran Church at Shive on Oct. 17 with Pastor Peter K. Anderson officiating with burial following in the church cemetery .
Mrs. Laudua was born March 7, 1913 in Burton, the daughter of Robert John Witschorke and Emma Louise Hodde Witschorke. She was baptized on June 10, 1913 in Burton.
The family moved to Shive from Burton in 1917. She was confirmed on April 15, 1928 at St. Paul Lutheran Church, Shive by Pastor C. Roth.
She attended school at Shive. On April 14, 1951 she was married to Herman H. Landua and moved to Clifton where she was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church until she moved back to Shive in 1972 after the death of her husband.
Mrs. Landua enjoyed quilting, sewing, gardening, cooking and baking. She made wonderful homemade rolls and beautiful quilts. She was most proud of her photograph with a quilt that was published by photographer June Van Cleef in The Way Home photographs from the Heart of Texas published in 1992.
She is preceded in death by her husband; her father Robert J. Witschorke; two brothers, Edward Witschorke and Robert Witschorke, Jr.
Survivors include her son, Herman Landua and his wife of Norse; granddaughter, Dawn Landua McCormack of Quakertown, PA; one sister, Margaret Streich of Baytown and a number of nieces, nephews and other relatives.
Pallbearers were Calvin Friedrich, Milton Fabianke, Michael Bosse, Walter Weaver, Dwight Bullentin and Robert Reich. Honorary Pallbearers were Arthur Bubert, Vena Weedekin and Elsie Seilheimer.
