Mr. Carlisle
Bobby Dayle Carlisle, 57, died March 18 at his home. Funeral services were held March 21 in the Riley Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Kevin Cude officiating. Burial was in Kingsbury Cemetery near Evant.
Mr. Carlisle was born November 15, 1947 in Comanche, the son of Robert Franklin Carlisle and Martha Wright Carlisle.
He was a veteran of the Army serving in Vietnam in 1968 and 1969. He was employed by Alexander Moulding Mill for 29 years.
Mr. Carlisle was devoted to his family. He checked on his mother every day. He loved his children and always told them how proud he was of them. He adored his grandsons and they adored him.
Mr. Carlisle was very patriotic, loved this country and was especially proud to be a Texan. He was very much a country boy at heart and was most at home outdoors, working in his yard, planting trees or grafting pecan trees.
He enjoyed rebuilding car engines. He had a weakness for candy especially M&Ms and rarely did a birthday or holiday pass that someone didn’t give him M&Ms.
Mr. Carlisle had a laugh that was so infectious that anyone around him would burst into laughter just hearing him laugh whether they knew what he was laughing about or not.
Survivors include three children, Marlena Carlisle of Millsap, Susanne Partin of Priddy and Shonna Miller of Hamilton; his mother, Martha Carlisle of Hamilton; four grandchildren, Jim Bob Partin, Clark Partin, Michael and Jason Miller and one sister Karen Parks of Hamilton.
Pallbearers were Jackie Blackburn, Kevin Kuklies, Billy Jennings, Kenneth Balzen, Gene Montgomery, Clint McKee, Justin Tubbs, Don Tyson.

Mrs. Jones
Bettye Jo Jones died peacefully at her home at Buchanan Dam on March 23, 2005, after a long battle with pulmonary fibrosis.
She was born on Feb. 7, 1924, the daughter of Hattie and Lee Roy Miller in Chickasha, Okla.
Her family moved to Texas during the depression and settled in Lampasas where she graduated from Lampasas High School in the early 1940's.
She moved to Buchanan Dam in 1960 when she married R. M. Jones. The two of them enjoyed the real estate business in the Highland Lakes for more than 30 years. They were instrumental in developing the Cassie, Highland Haven, Island Lodges, and Willows subdivisions.
They retired and reaped the benefits of long hours and hard work in their business. They lived out their retirement years enjoying their children and many grand and great-grandchildren as well as all the friends they had made through the years.
Mrs. Jones was preceded in death by her husband Raymond in November, 1998; two sisters, Genevie Tittle of Brady and Neva Verlander of Burnet; two grandchildren, Jeffery and Dwayne Fox of Hamilton.
Survivors include a brother, Lee Roy Miller Jr. of Simi Valley, Calif., four children, Judy Jones Bays of San Antonio, Rex Jones and wife Ann of San Angelo, Winters Fox and wife Nancy of Hamilton and Michael Fox of Buchanan Dam; nine grandchildren and seventeen great-grandchildren.

Cora Matilde Klatt Terry, 96, a homemaker, died March 16, 2005, in Fort Worth.
Graveside services were held March 19 in Laurel Land Memorial Park.
She was born Oct. 28, 1908, in Womack to C.F. and Anna Klatt, the second of five children.
She was married to Clinton Terry on March 29, 1952, in Corpus Christi.
She was a lifetime member of the Lutheran Church, baptized in January 1910 in Greenvine and confirmed at St. Paul's Lutheran Church in Aleman. At the time of her death, she was a member of Charity Lutheran Church in Burleson.
She graduated from Aleman High School and worked as a civilian employee at the Corpus Christi Naval base during World War II. She was next employed as an office manager in a doctor's office. After her marriage, she devoted her life to homemaking.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Clinton; her parents, Anna and C.F. Klatt; brothers, Herbert and Auline Klatt and sister, Vera Endebrock.
Survivors include a sister, Oleta Klatt of Houston; sister-in-law, Mabel Klatt of Hamilton; five nieces; one nephew; and numerous great-nieces and great-nephews.

Willie Dean Leona Huse Dittrich 85, died on March 25, 2005. Funeral services were held March 28 in the First Baptist Church in Hamilton with Rev. Keith Felton officiating. Burial followed in Boggy Cemetery near Cranfills Gap.
Mrs. Dittrich was born March 25, 1920 in Cranfills Gap, the daughter of John L. and Malinda Pederson Huse.
She was married to Ovie Dittrich at Cranfills Gap on Nov. 19, 1938
She was a devoted and loving wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. She was a farmer’s wife, a wonderful cook and helpmate to her husband and a member of the First Baptist Church in Hamilton.
She is preceded in death by her parents, four sisters and three brothers.
Survivors include her husband of Jonesboro; three children, Richard Dittrich of Grapevine, Barbara Henderson of Meridian and Ovie Dittrich Jr. of Crossville, TN, six grandchildren, seven great grandchildren and one sister Jenny Huse of Oklahoma City, Okla.
Pallbearers were Don Dittrich, Derek Dittrich , Jon M. Henderson, David Iklebarner , Jimmy L. Huse and Edwin W. Dittrich.

Mrs. Chumney
Celia Chumney, 98, died at her home in the Shive community near Hamilton June 17, 2005. Funeral services were held June 20 in the First Baptist Church in Hamilton. Burial was in Live Oak Cemetery with Rev. Keith Felton officiating.
Mrs. Chumney was born November 13, 1906 in Coryell County, the daughter of the late Eldon and Mary Jane Jones Harris. On December 21, 1924 she was married to Roy Arthur Chumney at Hamilton. He preceded her in death on Nov. 27, 1984.
Mrs. Chumney enjoyed rodeos, trail rides, and traveling to family events. She was an avid quilter and pieced quilts for all her children and grandchildren.
She enjoyed tatting and all kinds of needlework and she insisted on cooking for all who came to her home. She was a member of the First National Bank Travel Club, Home Demonstration Club, First Baptist Church, Builders Sunday School Class, and the Red Hat Club.
She is preceded in death by two sons, Billie Eldon Chumney and Roy Glen Chumney; a grandchild, Marshall Tallent; a sister, Fleta Wright and two brothers, Eustas Harris and Audley Harris.
Survivors include five children, Sarah Jo Lewis of Levelland, Celia Virginia Waldrep of Comanche, Carl Van Chumney of Stephenville, Jimmie Zane Chumney of Purmela and Jeanne Fay Tallent of Hamilton; 25 grandchildren; 44 great-grandchildren; ten great-great-grandchildren; a sister, Imogene Marcella of Huntington Beach, Calif. and a sister-in-law Lucille Harris of Gatesville.

Della Morine Squires Gregory, 90, died in Hamilton HealthCare Center June 22, 2005. Funeral services were held June 25 in the Riley Funeral Home Chapel with Dick Stovall officiating. Burial followed in Oakwood Cemetery.
Mrs. Gregory was born October 16, 1914 near Hico, the daughter of George and Dellie Mintie Williams Squires.
On August 30, 1930 at the age of fifteen she was married to Wade Gregory at Carlton. He preceded her in death on July 2, 1994.
She was a devoted and loving wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. She loved her family and her daughter’s friends like they were her family, welcoming them into her home.
She served many years working in the nursing homes, Hillcrest Nursing Home, Hamilton Nursing Home and Leisure Lodge Care Center. She was a member of Park Heights Church of Christ.
She was preceded in death by her two children, an infant, and Gladys Marie Gregory Ratliff who died on Oct. 26, 1975; five sisters and three brothers.
Survivors include two grandsons, Douglas Ratliff and Harold Ratliff, both of Hamilton; five great-grandchildren, Cheyenne, Lane, Jena, McKenzie and Charles Ratliff; and her brother, R.Y. Squires.
Pallbearers were Wayne Gregory, Ivan Gregory, Dale Caraway, Louis Donahoo, Brad Townsend, Tracey Stockman and honorary pallbearer Johnny Ratliff.

Britton Andrew Brown, infant son of Aaron Brown and Bobbie Anne Tyrie Brown, was born and passed away in San Antonio on June 16, 2005. Memorial services will be 2 p.m. June 28, 2005 in the Blue Ridge Baptist Church near Hamilton with Pastor Lynn Wilson officiating.
Survivors include his parents, Aaron and Bobbie Brown of Waelder; maternal grandfather, Robert Tyrie of Princeton, Ky.; maternal grandmother, Anne Garcia of Brownwood; paternal grandparents, Baylous and Jane Brown of Hamilton and the late Jennifer Brown; three brothers, Tristan, Peyton and Stratton Brown of Waelder; and a sister, LaNiece Brown of Arlington.

Floy Ethelene (Williams) French, 89, of passed away in Hamilton Tuesday June 21, 2005.
She was born July 29, 1915 in Hamilton, the daughter of W.C. and Ethel McClintock Williams Sr.
She was married to Amos R. French on September 7, 1935 at Hamilton. He preceded her in death on March 1, 2001.
Mrs. French was a devoted and loving wife and helpmate to her husband.
She was supportive in the children’s school activities, following them to ball games wherever they were.
She is preceded in death by a grandchild, Beverly Baird; a great grandchild Cutter Lapp; a sister, Frances Wood; three brothers, W.C. Jr., Lee, Burnell and a son-in-law Ray Malone.
Survivors include 11 children, Barbara Tucker of Cleburne, Joyce Rohde of Echo, Ore., Linda Land of Lawton, Okla., Darrell French of Carlton, Bernice Claborn of Apache, Okla., Loree Miller of Rendon, Donna Lawson of Margate, Fla., Janet Kuklies of Copperas Cove, Patricia Malone of Shelbyville, Tenn., Ginger Jones of Lindsey, Okla, and Marsha Karnes of Stephenville; 28 grandchildren; 31 greatgrandchildren; two broth-ers, Red Williams of Hamilton, and Maurice Williams Itasca.

Mrs. Bartlett
Lillie Mavis (Newton) Lee Bartlett died June 28 in Bedford. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. July 2 in the Riley Funeral Home Chapel with burial following in Indian Gap, Cemetery.
She was born Jan. 24, 1919 in the Pottsville community of Hamilton County, the daughter of the O.O.O. Newton and Gertrude Christian Newton.
She was married to Owen Lee and after his death she later married James Bartlett who also precedes her in death.
She worked as a bookkeeper for Lawson Implement for many years and then
the Evant School. She was a member of the Church of Christ.
She is preceded in death by her husbands, Owen Lee and James Bartlett and three sisters, Zona Bullard, Leota Glover
and Mary Newton.
Survivors include six children, John Lee of Branson, MO, Don Lee of Little Rock,
Ark., Debra Lee Fleming of Bedford, Diana Jones of Waxahachie, TX., Dina Pilley
of College Station, Kathy Raibourn of Bedford; 19 grandchildren and one sister, Ozzie Dean Hornsby of Lubbock.
Pallbearers were Michael Fleming, Wade Jones, Courtney Raibourn, Nathan Gilmore, Mathew Whiteside and Chad Baize. Honorary pallbearers were Glen Carlock and Christopher Baize.
Family visitation will be at the funeral home at 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Friday evening.
