Michael Lee Wilhelm, 54, died March 19 in San Angelo. Graveside funeral services were held March 22 at Whitepoint Cemetery.
He was born April 9, 1949 in Brownwood, the son of Mary Kay Wilhelm and the late Aubrey Lee Wilhelm.
Survivors include a son, Jason Wilhelm of Ft. Worth; his mother, Mary Kay Wilhelm of San Angelo; two sisters, Judy Reese of Weatherford and Mary Scroggin of San Angelo; two uncles, Wayne Wilhelm of Comanche and J.K. Wilhelm of Hamilton.

Mrs. Moore

Margaret S. Moore, 93, of Lockhart, died March 21, 2003. Graveside services were conducted March 25 at the Oakwood Cemetery in Comanche with Rev. Dennis Spire officiating.
She was born June 7, 1909 in Stephenville, the daughter of Joel A. and Addie (Hooker) Smith.
She was married to Leslie Stewart Moore, who was in the U.S. military. Together they traveled extensively. The love of her life was her children and grandchildren.
She was a devout charter member of the Bannockburn Baptist Church in Austin.
Mrs. Moore is preceded in death by her husband.
Survivors include her daughter, Patricia Carr and husband Reed of San Marcos; a son, Joseph M. Moore and wife Genevie of Hamilton; grandchildren, Dr. Ruth M. Carr and husband William Ryan of Los Angeles, Calif.; Sara Carr of Lockhart; Anne Carr Felan and husband Joe of Little Rock, Ark; great-grandchildren, Reed and Evan Ryan of Los Angeles, Calif.; Nathaniel, Michal and Isabelle Felan of Little Rock, Ark.

Mr. Thompson

Donald Ben Thompson 68, of Gustine, died in Stephenville on March 20, 2003. A celebration of life will be Saturday April 26, 2003 graveside in the Hico Cemetery, Hico, TX. with Rev. Matt Hall officiating.
Mr. Thompson was born June 10, 1934, at Indian Gap, the son of Ben Marcilete Mitchell Thompson.
On March 15, 1985 he was united in marriage to Sue Russell at Las Vegas, Nevada. For 34 years he was in business in Alaska in the oil industry. Donald was a Mason, a Shriner and a member of the Methodist Church.
Survivors include his wife, Sue Thompson of Gustine; three children, Donna Sue Watson of Pharump, Nev., JoAnn Munger of Mena, Ariz. and Carole Carroll of Oklahoma; five grandchildren; a sister, Melba Marcilete Linker of Appleton, AR; a brother Kenneth Thompson of Bouse, Ariz.; two aunts, Iris Denton of Oklahoma City, Okla. and Martie Huffman of New Port, Ore. and one uncle Murel Mitchell of Coss Bay, Ore.

Mr. Zettler

Walter Zettler of Clifton, 91, died May 17. Funeral services were held May 19 in the Trinity Lutheran Church with burial in the Clifton Cemetery.
Survivors include his daughter, Bernice Farmer of Fort Worth; a sister, Pauline Peters of Hamilton; two grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.

Miss McFarlin

Meagan McFarlin, 22 of Rising Star, has gone home to be with our Lord. Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. May 24 in the Rising Star First Baptist Church with Terry Simmons and David Williams officiating. Internment will be at 4 p.m. at the Oakwood Cemetery in Hamilton. The family will receive friends from 6-8 p.m. May 23 at Higginbotham Funeral Home in Rising Star.
She was born Feb. 24, 1981 in Hamilton, the daughter of Gene and Denise Salyers McFarlin. The family lived in Hamilton and DeLeon before moving to Rising Star in 1997. She was a 1999 graduate of Rising Star High School and a member of the First Baptist Church where she worked in the nursery for the past two years. She had also worked at Lawrence Bros. IGA in DeLeon and most recently at Star Grocery in Rising Star. She will be missed.
Survivors include her three-year-old son, Jacob Egger of Stephenville; her parents, Gene and Denise McFarlin of Stephenville; a brother, Mahlon McFarlin Jr. of Tempe, Ariz.; grandparents, Bill and Virginia McFarlin and Marjorie Dornan, all of Hamilton and a host of aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.
Miss McFarlin was preceded in death by her maternal grandparents, Wayland and Wanda Salyers and her step-grandfather, Ray Dornan.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Jacob Egger Fund at People’s State Bank in Rising Star or to the First Baptist Church in Rising Star.

Mrs. Patterson

Hellen "Honey" Patterson, 73, a buyer, died May 19, 2003 at an Arlington hospital. Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. May 23 at Arlington Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will be at 3 p.m. Friday
in Oakwood Cemetery in Hamilton. Visitation will be 6 to 8 pm Thursday at Arlington Funeral Home.
Mrs. Patterson was born March 5, 1930 in Hamilton County. She worked many years as a medical secretary but retired from Vought Aircraft as a buyer.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Danal Layton and Zeola Evelyn Berkley Haile.
Survivors include her daughter, Tawana Peasner; sons, Robert Patterson and Leonard Patterson and wife, Anneka, all of Arlington; two grandchildren, Tia Peasner and Beau Patterson; two sisters, DaNell Barnett and husband, David
R. and Sandra Beard; three nieces; one nephew; and a host of great-nieces, great-nephews, family and friends.

Mr. Jones

E. Cullen (E.C.) Jones died May 16, 2003. The body was cremated and graveside memorial services will be Saturday May 24, 2003 in the Old I.O.O.F. Cemetery in Hamilton.
He was a veteran of World War II, a past member of the Hamilton Lion Club; a past Executive Director of the Hamilton Housing Authority where he was instrumental in building the housing unites on East Gentry Street in Hamilton.
Survivors include his daughter, Jill Kilgore and husband Jarvis of Brady; a granddaughter, Melissa Vaughn and husband Tony, and grandson Curtis Baugh of Alvarado; a stepdaughter, Marin Locke and husband Tom of Austin, twin step-granddaughters, Keely Clemmer and Kemberly Locke Payton; several nieces, nephews and great-great-nieces and nephews in New Mexico.
The family has designated the First United Methodist Church of Hamilton, the Hamilton Volunteer Fire Department and the American Cancer Society for memorials.

Mr. Brown

Ray Van Brown died May 18, 2003 in Waco. Funeral services will be held May 21 at Evant Funeral Chapel with Rev. James Marrs officiating. Burial will be at Murphee Cemetery in Evant.
He was born January 1, 1942 at Sly near Gatesville, the son of the late Milton and Gertrude Marshall Brown.
He is preceded in death by two sisters, Geraldine Evans and Quida Green and three brothers; James, Harold and Bobby Lee Brown.
Survivors include three sisters, Nadine Thorne of Waco, Mildred Parrish of Evant and Polly Guest of Waco and three brothers, Kenneth Brown of Gatesville, Morris Brown of Hamilton and Billy Mack Brown of Purmela as well as a number of nieces and nephews and friends.

Grace Oleta Scott, 78 of Hico, died July 29, 2003 in Hamilton. Funeral services were held Aug. 1 at Rutledge-Jones Funeral Home Chapel. Burial was at Clairette Cemetery. Rev. Jerry DuBose officiated for the services.
Mrs. Scott was born June 6, 1925 in Hamilton County. She was married to Ealon Carl Scott on Jan. 25, 1941 in Stephenville. She lived her entire life in Hico. She was a homemaker and a Baptist.
Survivors include her sons, Ealon Claude Scott and wife Ossie of Hamilton, Joe David Scott and wife Sandra of Dublin, Robert Paul Scott and wife Sherry of Iredell; a brother, Doyle David Harris of Fort Worth; seven grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.

Mr. Bottlinger

Dean Herman Bottlinger, 64, of Hamilton died Sept. 16, 2003 after a 15-month battle with cancer. Services were held Sept. 20, 2003 at St. John Lutheran Church, in Hamilton. Burial was in Aleman Cemetary.
Mr. Bottlinger was born in Aleman, the son of Ermin and Gertrude Bottlinger, on Jan. 12, 1939.
He graduated from Hamilton High School in 1957 and attended Tarleton Junior College from 1957-1959 where he was a defensive tackle on the football team. He graduated from Texas A & M College in 1961 with a degree in Entomology.
Mr. Bottlinger owned his own business in Dallas, Chemical and Turf Specialty Co. from 1971 to 1991. Until his death he was employed as a salesman for Greensmiths in Frisco.
He was an active member of St. John Lutheran Church in Hamilton and before moving to Hamilton in 1998, Zion Lutheran Church of Dallas. Mr. Bottlinger was a hard working active man who ran his home, ranch, business and family with love for the Lord. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather and friend. He was an avid hunter and fisherman and loved to watch baseball, football and basketball in his spare time.
Mr. Bottlinger and his wife loved to travel and had vacationed in many places during their marriage.
He married his high school sweetheart, the former Nancy Jane Leeth on September 10, 1960. They lived their lives to the fullest with Christ as the center.
Mr. Bottlinger was preceded in death by his parents and by one brother, Earl Bottlinger.
Survivors include his wife; one daughter, Dana Bottlinger Young and husband Dr. John M. Young and granddaughters Caitlyn, Christian, Callan and Camryn Young, all of Amarillo; a son, David Hunter Bottlinger and wife Shelly Boyd Bottlinger and granddaughters Amber and Alyssa Bottlinger all of Murphy; two brothers, Bryan Bottlinger and wife Pat of Hamilton and Wayne Bottlinger and wife Bernice of Vancouver, BC, Canada and many neices and nephews.
The family requests memorials be made to St. John Lutheran Church, Hamilton, Texas, The American Cancer Society or a favorite charity.

Mr. Commins

James Elon Commins Sr, 66 of Onalaska and Hamilton died Sept. 16 at Kindred Hospital Houston NW in Houston.
A memorial service was held Sept. 19 at Cochran Funeral Home Chapel in Onalaska with Rev. Ken Adkins conducting the service.
Mr. Commins was born Dec. 14, 1936 in Kilgore, the son of Ernest and Frances Kennedy Commins.
He was a retired truck driver. Mr. Commins attended Grace Pentecostal Church when he lived in Hamilton.
He is preceded in death by his father, Ernest Elon Commins; his grandmother, Lily and grandson, Devon Commins and two nephews..
Survivors include his wife of 41 years, Lori Commins of Hamilton; mother, Frances Commins of Mt. Enterprise; son, James Commins II of Onalaska; three daughters and two sons-in-law, Pam and Greg Rader of Oklahoma, Jamie Godfrey of Brownwood and Jean and Rusty Flack of Hamilton; five grandchildren, three brothers, Roland of Arkansas, Paul of Longview and Darrell of Kilgore; four sisters, Janet Barnes of Texarkana, Cricket-Robinson of Henderson, Amanda Haynes and Becky Ross of Mt. Enterprise; numerous nieces, nephews and friends.
It has been requested in lieu of flowers, all donations be made to his wife to help pay for cremation.

Mrs. Terry

Corene Steward Terry, 82, of Stephenville died Nov. 28, 2003 at Scott and White Hospital. Funeral services were held Dec. 2 at Comanche Funeral Home Chapel. Burial was at Oakwood Cemetery in Comanche County.
Mrs. Terry was born April 11, 1921 in Comanche County.
She worked in health care for Hamilton County Hospital for 12 years prior to her retirement.
Mrs. Terry was a member of the First United Methodist Church of Stephenville.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Rob and Ora Steward; a brother, Willis and three husbands, Homer Brown, Donald Colcleasure and Elmer “Pete” Angermann.
Survivors include her husband, Samuel Eldon Terry of Stephenville; sons, Dulane and wife Veronica Colcleasure of New Mexico, Timothy Steward and wife Sabrina Angermann of Lampasas; a sister, Vena Brown of Hamilton; sister-in-law, Anna Marie Hill of Comanche; aunt, Louise Spivey of Grandview; eight grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandson and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.

Mrs. Lucas

Helen Louise Elizabeth Lucas, 95, died Nov. 25, 2003. Funeral services were held Nov. 29 at the Trinity Lutheran Church at Pottsville with Pastor Peter Anderson officiating. Burial followed in the Trinity Lutheran Cemetery.
She was born April 24, 1908 at Hope, NM, the daughter of Carl and Lena Jahns Rabbe.
Mrs. Lucas was baptized April 24, 1914 at St. Jacobs Lutheran Church at Wuthrich and confirmed May 25, 1923 at St. Johannes at New Bern both in Williamson County.
She was married to Gutav Edward Lucas On October 15, 1936 at St. Paul Lutheran Church at Shive. He preceded her in death May 15, 1994.
She was a loving and devoted wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother as well as a helpmate to her husband working on the farm, attending to the household and raising a family. For a number of years she cooked at the Pottsville school and later worked as housekeeper for Dr. C.B. Cathey family. She was member of Trinity Lutheran Church.
She is preceded in death by her parents; a son, Milton Lucas; three sisters, Lena, Lydia and Ester and two brothers Charlie and Otis.
Survivors include a daughter, Etheline Surley and her husband Joe of Pottsville; one son, Wilford Lucas and his wife Priscilla of McAllen; nine grandchildren and eleven great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers were Ewald Wulf, Lewis Ray, Eugene Jeschke, Walter Rabbe, Gilbert Rabbe and Alton Lucas.
