She is survived by her daughters, Bobbie Ray and husband Owen of Marion, Pat Sheeran and husband Tom, and Mary Lou Glasscock and husband Don, all of San Antonio; 6 granddaughters; 1 grandson; and 7 great grandchildren.

Alfreda “Dolly” Goetzke, age 73, of San Antonio, passed away on February 6, 2003.
She was the president of the Daughters of the King at Resurrection Episcopal Church.
She was preceded in death by her first husband and father of her children, Robert Gregg; and her second husband, Ken Goetzke.
She is survived by her children, Tom and Daniel, their spouses, Diana and Kimberly; and their children, Nina, Robert and Amanda; step-children, Karl and Kenny, and their families; dear friends, Marcella, and Bill Middleton.
We will always remember and love you. Thank you for being such a good mom.

Lovie Louise (Bosworth) Cole passed away Wednesday, February 12, 2003. Lovie was born February 8, 1913 in Yoakum, Texas.
She was preceded in death by her husband, William Hemmant Cole. At the time her death Lovie was a member of Highland Terrace United Methodist Church, where she served in various chairmanships. She was a lifetime member of the PTA, having served in numerous offices at Ursuline Academy, Page Middle School, Brackenridge and Highlands High School.
Lovie was honored as PTA Woman of the Year in 1958 by the San Antonio Express News. She was active in many organizations, both civic and social to include Tuesday Musical Club, Elysian Club, Conservation Society, and the Plumbing and Heating Contractors Auxiliary. Lovie enjoyed playing bridge with two groups for many years.
Survivors include daughters and sons-in-law, Catherine Anne and Clyde L. Morrison, and Lovie Jean and Roger L. Haller; grandchildren include Kevin Morrison, Kenneth Morrison and Jane, Keith Morrison and Laura; six great grandchildren, Kyle, Amy, Nicole, Patrick, Austin, and Kaitlyn Morrison; and nieces, Lynn Clardy, June Kirk, and Carol Kerger. Louise Hull Beckham

Louise Hull Beckham, age 76, of Pipe Creek, TX, was called home to God on Monday, February 10, 2003.
The youngest of three sisters, Louise Hull Brockhausen (Weezie) was born on June 17, 1926 to William and Juliette Brockhausen.
She was raised in San Antonio and graduated from Alamo Heights High School in 1943.
She received her Bachelor of Science degree from Purdue University in 1946.
She married
John Jacob Beckham on December 30, 1949. Jake’s naval career took them all over the world, and they finally retired to San Antonio in 1971.
Louise was one of the founding members of the San Antonio Watercolor Group, serving in many positions, and was also a member of the San Antonio Art League and the Texas Watercolor Society. For those who knew her art and appreciated the spirit with which she painted, “her brushes are now dry and the chalk dust lies still, ” we all mourn her passing.
Louise and Jake moved to Pipe Creek in 1982 to enjoy the beauties of the Texas Hill Country.
She dearly loved her family, friends and neighbors and was loved equally in return.
She was truly one of a kind, and all those who knew her were made richer by the experience.
Louise is survived by her devoted husband of 53 years, Jake; her daughter, Becky Rudy and husband Allen of Dallas; her son, John Beckham and his wife Nancy of Austin; and her loving granddaughters, Jocelyn Rudy and Katie Beckham; her sisters, Helen Hardison of Kerrville, and Marion Reeves and husband John R of San Antonio; as well as numerous nieces and nephews, not to mention many furry and feathered friends!!
She will be loved, missed and remembered always.
Bennie L. Green

Bennie Green, age 74, of San Antonio, died at home surrounded by his loving family, February 12, 2003 following a lengthy illness. Bennie was a Vietnam Veteran who also served stateside and in Germany. He retired as a Master Sergeant from the U.S. Army after 21 years of service in 1970. Following his military career, he was the Southwest Regional Manager with Purolator Courier, from which he also retired. He was preceded in death by his son, Thomas Green. Survivors include his wife, Mary Esther Green; daughters, Elisabeth and Christine Green of San Antonio and Patricia Rodriguez of Austin; son, Sgt. Juan Rodriguez and his wife, Leslie Rodriguez, of Temple; sisters, Joy, Billie Grace and Vivian of Amarillo; grandchildren, Barbara and Thomas of San Antonio; and father and mother-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. Eugene Villarreal of San Antonio. He will be remembered and missed by many close friends, extended family and associates and also by four-legged companions “the Boys”, Tiger and Chuckie, who were always at his side. The family wishes to express heartfelt gratitude and recognition for the care, compassion and utmost professionalism with which the medical and administrative staff of Wilford Hall and of Christus Santa Rosa Hospice cared for Mr. Green. The family also expresses sincere appreciation to Dr. Siguendo Briones who cared for Bennie throughout his illness.

Rhonda Wessels-Walters, age 49, of San Antonio, died on Monday, February 10, 2003.
She graduated from MacArthur High School in 1971.
She worked for the U.S. Postal Service since 1977, actively supported the Susan G. Komen Breast Cancer Foundation, and was a loving and giving person.
She was preceded in death by her mother, Eloise A. Reid Warnick; brother, Phillip Warnick; and sister, Robin Warnick.
She is survived by her father, Olin A. Warnick; husband, Conrad Walters; daughter, Bridget Wessels; step-daughter, Hillary Walters; step-son, Russell Walters; sister, Yvonne Tatsch and her husband, Wayne, all of San Antonio; brother, Steve Warnick and wife, Connie; nephew, Andrew Warnick; and niece, Erin Warnick; all of Plano.

Arthur Paul Buzzini

Arthur Paul Buzzini passed away February 12, 2003 in San Antonio, Texas. He was born September 24, 1910 in Manhattan, New York, the son of Walter James and Theresa Roos Buzzini. One of six children, he was the last of his generation. Arthur married
Eleanor Cornell Haviland of Purchase, NY in 1939. Together they raised two daughters in San Antonio, TX. She predeceased him in 1982. He graduated from Cornell University, Ithaca, NY, with a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering. While at Cornell he served as coxswain of the Varsity crew and as President of Sigma Phi Epsilon. He was a First Lieutenant in the army reserves. Art’s career in the drilling business began when he moved to Texas in 1933. He started as a roughneck and later supervised several rigs in southern Illinois. In 1946 Art and his brother, Walter, formed Buzzini Drilling Company in San Antonio. The company drilled over 500 wells in Wyoming, Colorado and South Texas. Art was responsible not only for supervising the company’s day-to-day operations, but also for marketing its services throughout the oil industry. Art invented several devices that made drilling rigs safer and more efficient. The company was sold in 1981. Art was a two- term member of the Terrell Hills City Council, a member and later Chairman of the Terrell Hills Planning and Zoning Commission, a board member of the International Association of Oilwell Drilling Contractors, a founding member and board member of Oak Hills Country Club, a member of St. Luke’s Episcopal Church and The Argyle. He loved golf, rose gardening, fly-fishing, bread baking, cooking and taking his family and friends to lunch and dinner. He also enjoyed telling his grandchildren about horse drawn delivery wagons and Prohibition in New York and about surviving the Spanish Influenza in 1918. He is survived by two daughters, Beverly B. Pennington and husband Oliver of Houston, TX and Joan B. Hurd and husband J.R. of San Antonio, four grandchildren, Cliff Hurd and wife Vanessa of Cambridge, MA, Gavin Hurd and wife Marisa of Mountain View, CA, Oliver Pennington III and wife Katherine of London, England, and Sarah Tropoli and husband Peter of Houston, TX. A great grandson, Oliver Pennington IV, nieces, nephews and his very good friend, Jaenette Bell, also survive him.
