Florence Louise Frick Thompson, age 95, of San Antonio, died on Wednesday, January 08, 2003.
She was a lifelong member of St. Mark’s Episcopal Church.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Calvin D. Thompson in 1983; her sister, Edna Schuchart; and her niece, Fay Wurzbach.
She is survived by her son, Roy Thompson and wife, Pat Thompson, PhD of San Antonio; grandchildren, Jennifer Dietrich and husband, Jeff of Pflugerville, Rebecca Watson M.D. and husband, Barry of Kerrville, and Joy Bingaman and husband, Jon of San Antonio; great grandsons, Calvin, Alexander, Brannon, Parker, Connor and Peter; nephews, Lee James Phillips and wife, Joanne, Vernon Schuchart and wife, Doris, and Millard Schuchart and wife, Inell; numerous great nieces and great nephews.
The family wishes to thank the pastoral care given Florence by the staff of St. Mark’s Episcopal Church and St. George Episcopal Church.

Dan’s earthly body died when he went Home to be with his Lord and Savior on Wednesday, January 1, 2003.
He is survived by his beloved wife, Linda E. Thorman Homeyer of Canyon Lake; Children, Dane Robert Homeyer and Dandi Jo Homeyer–Pacheco, both of California; loving mother, Fay Blakeney and step-father, Taylor Blakeney of Karnes City; and brothers, Bil Homeyer and wife, Cam of Karnes City, and Lee Homeyer of Bay City, other extended family and friends.
He was preceded in death by his father, Dan E. Homeyer, Sr.
Dan E. Homeyer, Jr., age 55, of Canyon Lake, died on Wednesday, January 1, 2003.
He entered ministerial work at the age of 17 and pastored churches in Denton and Bulverde.
He also served in the U.S. Army.

Clarence “CJ” Krause went to be with our Lord on December 25, 2002 after a five-year courageous battle with multiple myeloma cancer. He was born to Joseph Krause and Julia Cromcak Krause on September 28, 1924 in Hallettsville, Texas. He grew up in Moravia, Texas until 1941 when he came to San Antonio. He completed Draughtan’s Business College, the American Institue of Banking then earned his Masters Degree from the Southwestern Graduate School of Banking at Southern Methodist University. He began his professional career with Frost National Bank as a mailroom messenger in 1942 and retired as Senior Vice President and Cashier in 1993. During his tenure, he managed every department of the bank except lending. In addition to his distinguished professional career he was a leader in community affairs. He was an active member of the downtown Founders Lions Club, President’s Club of the Greater San Antonio Chamber of Commerce, San Antonio Archdiocesan Finance Council, San Antonio Archdiocesan Grievance Committee, the Executive Service Corp. of San Antonio and St. Paul’s Catholic Parish Council. As a devoted parishioner of St. Paul’s, he chaired the church’s annual festival for 17 years. He was a member of the Equestrian Order of the Holy Sepulchre of Jerusaleum and he served on the Credit Committee for HemisFair in 1968; was a past Chairman of the San Antonio Clearing House Association and was a former president of the Santa Rosa Hospital Men’s Club. While at Frost Bank in 1979 he was also financial advisor to Our Lady of The Lake University and 1979 was selected to serve on the Board of Directors. In 1987 Mr. Krause became the first lay person ever elected as Chairman of the Board of Our Lady of the Lake, a position he held until 1998 when he was named Chair Emeritus. On November 13, 2002 he received the Sister Elizabeth Ann Sueltenfuss Distinguished Service Award. His parents and brother, Theodore Krause, predeceased him. He is survived by his wife of 54 years Maurice Barrett Krause; son, Michael Dean Krause; daughter Erika “Rika” Krause Smith; two granddaughters, Stacy Shibley, Patricia Smith and grandson Brian Smith, and three great grandchildren. He is also survived by his sister JoDein Roznovsky and her husband Steve and brother Julius Krause and wife Delores and numerous nieces and nephews. Pallbearers Brian Smith, Russell Barrett, Keith Johanson, Charles Johanson, Steve Roznovsky and Shawn Roznovsky.

BG Thomas W. (Tim) Brown, USA (Ret.), born November 25, 1919 in West Point, N.Y. died Wednesday, December 23, 2002 in San Antonio. He attended the U.S. Military Academy and graduated in the class of May 1943. He is preceded in death by his wife, Louise Marshall Brown on May 31, 2000. He is survived by his daughter Pamela B. Tate and her husband, Howard of Houston, TX and many friends.

Howard Franklin Colton was born in Columbus, Nebraska on October 5, 1911.
He soon moved to Lincoln, Nebraska where he grew up and attended college at the University of Nebraska, graduating in 1932, with a AB degree in Geology.
He married
Jean Ivins in 1933. They moved to Midland, Texas and finally to San Antonio to pursue the oil business in 1933, where he has since resided. Mr. Colton was active in the South Texas Geological Society until he retired.
In 1942, he entered military service. After World War II, he continued to serve in the Army Reserves, retiring as a Colonel in 1972.
He was married
to Jean until her death in 1962. In 1965, he married
Anne Lawrence to whom he was married
until her death in 1997.
Mr. Colton joined the San Antonio Sail and Power Squadron in 1972, rising to the rank of Commander. He was an active member in AA for 29 years.
After his retirement at age 85, he spent many hours volunteering at North East Baptist Hospital and The Green Door.
Mr. Colton died on December 28, 2002 at 12:32 AM.
One daughter, Michael Jean Geise and one granddaughter, Wendy Jean Geise, survive him.
