Robert E. "Bob" Brock
Robert E. "Bob" Brock, 75, died Sunday, Sept. 26, 2004, in Amarillo.
Services were at 2 p.m. Tuesday in First Baptist Church in Sanford with Ron Trusler officiating. Burial was in Westlawn Memorial Park by Minton/Chatwell Funeral Directors of Borger.
Mr. Brock was born Jan. 15, 1929 in Borger. He was a shift supervisor for Phillips Petroleum Ryton Plant.
Survivors include three sons, Larry Brock of Panhandle, Keith Brock of Rowlett and Tom Ed Brock of Fort Collins, Colo.; a daughter, Sandra Gail Carson of Houston; two brothers, Bill Brock of Hobbs, N.M., and Jack Brock of Orange; a sister, Darlene Scifres of Sanford; and two grandchildren.

Lonnie Martin "Marty" Lewis
Lonnie Martin "Marty" Lewis, 50, died Sunday, Nov. 21, 2004.
Graveside services were held in White Deer cemetery with the Rev. Leonard Forsythe, pastor of Bible Baptist Church, officiating. Arrangements were by Minton/Chatwell Funeral Directors.
Mr. Lewis was born March 13, 1954, in Borger. He was a trainer for guard dogs.
Survivors include his wife, Melita; two sons, James Lewis of Sanford and Jared Lewis of Houston; two brothers, Billy Nelson and John Nelson, both of Borger; and two sisters, Gena Luman of Fritch and Cecilia Cady of Seiling, Okla.
Leon Anderson
FRITCH - Leon Anderson, 78, died Friday, Jan. 28, 2005, in Temple.
Services were at 10 a.m. Tuesday in First Southern Baptist Church with the Rev. Calvin Winters, pastor, officiating. Burial was in Westlawn Memorial Park cemetery by Minton/Chatwell Funeral Directors of Fritch.
Mr. Anderson was born July 29, 1926, in Durant, Okla. Leon married
Jewell Gurley on Jan. 13, 1956, in Durant. He and his wife, Jewell, moved to Temple in July 2004, after living in Fritch since 1952. Mr. Anderson retired from Phillips Petroleum, where he was an engineering draftsman. He was also a member of First Southern Baptist Church.
Survivors include his wife; two sons, Billy Anderson and wife, Pam, of Belton and Robert Anderson and wife, Margaret, of Georgetown; a daughter, Betty Gunter and husband, Ronnie, of Fritch; a brother, Richard Anderson and wife, Opal, of Durant; two sisters, Mary Ayers and husband, Jerry, and Bobbie Crim and husband, Max, all of Durant; and two grandchildren, Amanda and Jordan Gunter.
O.L. Gray
O.L. Gray, 83, of Fritch, died Saturday, Feb. 12, 2005 in Amarillo.
Services were Wednesday in the Church of Christ at Borger with Richard Kasko, minister of Fritch Church of Christ, and Stan Mitchell, minister, officiating. Burial was in Westlawn Memorial Park by Minton/Chatwell Funeral Directors of Borger.
Mr. Gray was born April 9, 1921, in Gray, Okla. He had lived in Fritch for 37 years, moving here from Borger. He was a stillman helper at Phillips Petroleum. He served in the Army during World War II. He married
Vivian Legate on Sept. 13, 1941, in Cordell, Okla.
He was preceded in death by his wife; a brother; a daughter, Betty Porter; a sister; and a grandson, Michael Gray.
Survivors include two sons, O.L. Gray Jr. and Terry Gray and wife, Julie, of Fritch; two brothers, C.O. Gray of Fritch and Clifton Gray of Peckom, Okla.; nine grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.
The family suggests memorials be made through the Church of Christ at Borger to Zimbabwe Orphans Fund, P.O. Box 3364, Borger, TX 79008; or High Plains Children’s Home in Amarillo.
William "Bill" Norman
William "Bill" Norman, 77, of Fritch died Friday, Feb. 18, 2005.
Memorial services were at 2 p.m. Friday in Fritch Church of Christ. Burial was at the Norman residence on North Antelope Creek Road by Memorial Park Funeral Home of Amarillo, 6969 E. Interstate 40.
Mr. Norman was born July 4, 1927, in Borger to Harvey and Ruby Howard. He was a rancher all around Hutchinson County.
Survivors include two sons, William Norman II and Bill Norman, both of Fritch; two daughters, Denise Watson of Amarillo and Monica Norman of San Antonio; 11 grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
The family suggests memorials be to Cal Farley’s Boys Ranch.
Charles Lawayne Lindell
Charles Lawayne Lindell, 60, of Fritch died Wednesday, Feb. 16, 2005, in Amarillo.
Graveside services were Monday in Westlawn Memorial Park with the Rev. Don Rice, pastor of Faith Baptist Church, officiating. Arrangements are by Minton/Chatwell Funeral Directors of Borger.
Mr. Lindell was born May 13, 1944, in Millbank, S.D. He was a heavy equipment operator for Spradling Oil.
Survivors include four sons, Kevin Lindell and Keith Lindell, both of Plano, Mike Hess of Brighton, Colo., and Lewis Hess of Fritch; three daughters, Kimberly Bristol of Virginia and Kim Marrs and Julie Lindell, both of Borger; seven grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
Infant Hampton
Infant son of Aaron and Jennifer Hampton died Tue. June 14, 2005 in Houston,Tex. Graveside services were at Westlawn Memorial Park cemetery with Steve Gaines, Pastor, Covenant Fellowship church of Amarillo officiating. Services were under the direction of Minton Chatwell Funeral Directors of Borger.

Donald Brant McElroy, 20, died Monday, July 4, 2005.
Services were in First Southern Baptist Church with the Rev. Calvin Winters, pastor, officiating. Burial was in Westlawn Memorial Park by Minton/Chatwell Funeral Directors.
Mr. McElroy was born Aug. 23, 1984, in Amarillo. He graduated from Sanford-Fritch High School in 2002.
Survivors include his father, James Lee and Sheila McElroy of Pampa; his mother, Sonya and Kevin Jones of Fritch; two brothers, Reece McElroy of Fritch and Dillon Jones of Borger; a stepsister, Lindsey Botello of Fort Polk, La.; his grandparents, Don and Nelda Taylor of Fritch and Max and Adell McElroy of Brownfield.
Ruby M. Wilson
Ruby M. Wilson, 84, of Amarillo died Saturday, July 9, 2005.
Services were in Boxwell Brothers Funeral Directors Ivy Chapel, 2800 Paramount Blvd., with the Rev. Cletus Beights, associate pastor of Polk Street United Methodist Church, officiating. Burial was in Llano cemetery.
Mrs. Wilson was born in Canadian on May 10, 1921. She lived in Amarillo for 55 years.
Mrs. Wilson loved to cook, sew and read. For many years, she was a volunteer at the Osteopathic Hospital. She was a longtime member of San Jacinto United Methodist Church, but was currently a member of Polk Street United Methodist Church.
Survivors include a son, Tim Wilson of Amarillo; three daughters, Sonya Pair of Memphis, Tenn., Becky Wilson of Spokane, Wash., and Diane Falk of San Antonio; a sister, Ethyl Liles of Dallas; a brother, Ernest Sipes; eight grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.
D. L. Bush
D.L. Bush, 88, died Saturday, July 9, 2005, in Borger.
Graveside services were in Westlawn Memorial Park cemetery with the Rev. Chad Chadwick, pastor of Fairlanes Baptist Church, officiating. Arrangements are by Minton/Chatwell Funeral Directors of Fritch.
Mr. Bush was a native of Cisco. He worked at the Phillips Refinery for 38 years.
Survivors include a son, Larry Bush of Fritch; two brothers, R.D. Bush of Fritch and T.L. Bush of Fort Worth; two sisters, Bernice Wallthall of Ponca City, Okla., and Audry Rose of Ranger; two grandchildren, Chad Bush and Sharra Karrh; and three great-grandchildren.
Edward B. Stuart
Edward B. Stuart, 87, died Monday, July 11, 2005.
Graveside services were in Westlawn Memorial Park with the Rev. Barney Railsback, pastor of Irwin Road Baptist Church in Amarillo, officiating. Arrangements are by Minton/Chatwell Funeral Directors.
Mr. Stuart was born May 25, 1918, in Vinson, Okla. He was a mechanic for Pantex.
Survivors include his wife, Nell; a son, Charles Edward Stuart of Tuttle, Okla.; a daughter, SueAnn Woffard of Humble; a sister, Mozelle Bracken of Perryton; seven grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.
Perry Dale Stanford
Perry Dale Stanford, 47, died Monday, July 11, 2005.
Services were in First Southern Baptist Church with the Rev. Don Rice, pastor of Faith Baptist Church, officiating. Burial was in Westlawn Memorial Park by Minton/Chatwell Funeral Directors.
Mr. Stanford was born June 15, 1958, in Borger. He was a lead-off man for Conoco-Phillips Refinery for 18 years.
Survivors include his wife, Sherry; two daughters, Nikki Stanford of Amarillo and Ashly Stanford of Borger; two stepsisters, Joshelyn Johns of Indiana and Marlo Kerr of Borger; a stepson, Jake Kerr of Fritch; his parents, Jerry and Lenora Stanford of Borger; a brother, Steve Stanford of Panhandle; and a grandchild, Taylor Stanford.

Emily Fay Sterling
Emily Fay Sterling, 84, died Sunday, May 28, 2006, in Amarillo.
Services were held in Minton/Chatwell Funeral Directors Memorial Chapel in Borger with Nathan Henderson and Keith Hopper, her grandsons, officiating. Burial was in Westlawn Memorial Park by Minton/Chatwell Funeral Directors of Fritch.
Mrs. Sterling was born July 31, 1921, in Nashoba, Okla. Emily married
Floyd Sterling on July 12, 1940, in Tulsa, Okla.
Survivors include her husband; three daughters, Pat Hopper, Shirley Hammack and Sharon Looney, all of Fritch; a brother, Wilbur Sadler of Tulsa; five grandchildren; and a great-grandchild.
Reita Carol Francis Draper
Reita Carol Francis Draper left this earth and entered heaven Saturday, Oct. 14, 2006 at her home in Fritch, Texas .
Services were held Tuesday, Oct. 17, 2006 at First Southern Baptist Church with Rev. Calvin Winters, Pastor officiating. Interment followed in "The Garden of Hope" at Westlawn Memorial Park under the direction of Minton/Chatwell Funeral Directors of Fritch.
Reita was born Nov. 10, 1930, in Chillicothe, Texas. She was the sixth child of eight children born to Logan J. Francis and Mary Etta Carrell Francis. She graduated from Chillicothe High School and then attended the University of Arkansas in Fayetteville.
She also attended Frank Phillips College where she studied Art. Reita was a gifted artist and she taught many to paint.
Reita and R. D. Draper were married
August 8, 1948 in Chillicothe, Texas. Their first home was in Borger, Texas and they have lived in Fritch for the past 49 years.
Reita is survived by her husband of 58 years, 2 Daughters - Deena Graham and her husband Buddy of Duncan, OK, and Darla Riley and husband Larry of Lawton, OK, and 1 Son - Randy Draper and wife Penny of Fritch, 6 Grandchildren and 23 Great-Grandchildren.
She is also survived by her 5 Brothers - W. D. Francis and wife Jennie of Granite Shoals, TX, O. A. Francis and wife Myrt of Millsap, TX, Kenneth Francis of Granite Shoals, TX, Denny Francis and wife Delois of Farmers Branch, TX and Barry Francis and wife Diana of Amarillo and 1 Sister - Dolores Francis Thomas of Wichita Falls, TX.
She was preceded in death by her parents Logan and Mary Etta, her sister Lorene Coffey and other extended family members.
Reita and R. D. are long time members of the First Southern Baptist Church in Fritch.
She leaves countless friends and family who will always cherish the memories of her loving, kind, tender and patient life. We have all been blessed with the Lord's wonderful gift - our precious Reita.
Harold D. "Bud" Press
Harold D. "Bud" Press, 61, died Wednesday, October 11th, in Borger.
Services were held Monday at Victory Baptist Church in Stinnett, with Rev. J. D. Young, pastor officiating. Interment followed in Stinnett cemetery under the direction of Minton/Chatwell Funeral Directors of Borger.
Mr. Press was born on January 12, 1945 in Phillips, Texas and had been a lifetime Hutchinson County resident.
He was a life-long oilfield worker and had worked for Comac Well Service for the las 15 years as a pulling unit operator. He married
Peggy Monden Marchman on March 20, 1986 in Stinnett. He loved NASCAR racing, the Dallas Cowboys and his two dogs, Patty and Otis.
He is survived by his wife, Peggy Press of the home, five sons - Randy Marchman and his wife, Kim of Stinnett, Jackie Marchman and his wife, Lisa of Leander, TX., Jonathan Press and his wife, Deanna of Borger, Keith Press of Amarillo, and Jamie Keyes of Dallas, two daughters - Debbie Contreras of Stinnett, and Tina Taylor and her husband, Mike of Amarillo, one sister - Bea Anthony of Oklahoma City, Ok., 14 grandchildren, three great-grandchildren and numerous nephews and nieces in Stinnett and two nieces in Oklahoma City.
Casket bearers were Juan Carlos Carrizales, Mike McKee, John Nelson, William McKee, Dusty Sanders, James Harrington, Chester McKee, Whitie Gage, Bobby Monden, J. A. Monden, Rick Monden.

Durward "Ray" Smith, 71, died Tuesday, Feb. 20, 2007, in Borger.
Services were held Monday in Minton/Chatwell Funeral Directors Minton Memorial Chapel in Borger with Norman Schuman, pastor, and Merrill Silvey, pastor of Word of Life Church in Borger, officiating. Burial was in Westlawn Memorial Park.
Mr. Smith was born July 14, 1935, in Breckenridge. He was a supervisor with the State of New Mexico Oil Conservation Division and was a Fritch resident.
