Rev. John W. Fraley
Rev. John W. Fraley, 84 of Fritch, died Friday June 27, 2008 at Golden Plains Community Hospital in Borger.
John was born March 12, 1924 in Anderson, IN. He was a retired minister and retired from Amarillo National
Bank as well. He was a member of New Beginnings Church in Borger. He married Alta on November 17, 1984
in Amarillo.
He is survived by his wife, Alta Jean Fraley of Fritch; 4 daughters, Kathryn Fraley Gill of Fritch, Becky Loyd of
Bainbridge, GA, Kaylyn Smith & the late Billy E. Smith of Fritch, Judy Brown of Baton Rouge, LA; 1 son, William
Carr & Debbie of Panama City, FL; 13 Grandchildren; 14 Great-grandchildren; 1 Great great-grandchild and
several nieces and nephews.
Cremation under the direction of Brown Funeral Directors in Borger.
Memorial services will be at a later date.
Kaylin Mathews
Kaylin Marie Mathews, 20 of Agoura Hills, CA passed away in Agoura Hills on July 1, 2008.
Services will be at 10:00 AM Saturday July 12, 2008 at the Borger Church of God with Pastor Bill Ratchford and
Pastor Gilbert Del Toro officiating. Interment will be at Westlawn Memorial Cemetery.
She was born March 1, 1988 in Borger TX to Stephen Mathews and Kimberly Lasater. Kaylin was a 2005
graduate of Indian Hills High School in Calabasas, CA. She was a DJ.
She was preceded in death by her Nanny, Venita Smith and her cousin Conner Mason.
Kaylin is survived by her parents, Doug and Kim Lasater of Agoura Hills, CA and Steve and Diana Mathews of
Canyon; one brother, Jared Mathews of Agoura Hills and one sister Lexie Mathews of Canyon; grandparents
Johnny Smith of Borger, Ron and Monet Lasater of Dumas and Dennis and Carolyn Mathews of Fritch; two
great grandmothers, Marie Ray of Amarillo and Elizabeth Lasater of Amarillo; 10 aunts, 7 uncles, and 13 cousins.

Twila M. Cogdill
Twila Marie Rich Cogdill, 86 of Borger, died Tuesday, July 8, 2008 at her home.
Twila was born in Denoya, Oklahoma to John Rich and Anna Rich on September 28, 1924. She
graduated from Borger High School and married Glenn Cogdill in 1941.
Twila was preceded in death by her husband, Glenn, in 2007.
Twila is survived by three sons; Ron of Bedford, Texas, Jerry, of Longmont Colorado, and Wayne, of
Amarillo. She had three grandchildren and two great grandchildren.
Mrs. Cogdill was employed by J C Penney Co. until her retirement in 1988. She had served as Worthy
Matron of Borger Chapter 811, Order of Eastern Star, and had served on several Grand Chapter
committees. She was a member of Wesley Methodist Church.
Mrs. Cogdill will lie in state 8:00 AM to 8:00 PM Thursday & Friday, July 10 & 11, 2008 and 12:00 PM to
5:00 PM Sunday, July 13, 2008 at Brown Funeral Directors.
Funeral services will be 10:00 AM, Monday, July 14, 2008 at Wesley United Methodist Church with Dr.
Jerry Lane, Pastor officiating. Private family burial will follow.
Bob Hamilton
Bob Frank Hamilton, 51, of Borger, passed away Sunday, July 13, 2008 at his home in Borger.
Bob was born on March 22, 1957 in Borger to Joseph Frank and Bobbye Delores (Jones) Hamilton. On
March 21, 1981 he married Cheryl Manasco in Borger. He was a disabled foreman for Burlington Northern
Santa Fe Railroad. He loved hunting, fishing and most of all his family.
He is preceded in death by his parents and 2 infant sons; Dustin and Joseph.
Survivors include his wife, Cheryl, a daughter; Madeline R. Hamilton and a son, Jerad Ethan Hamilton, all
of Borger, 2 sisters; Cathy Derr of Amarillo, TX and Jan Pierce of Creed, CO; and several nieces and
nephews.
Services will be 2:00 PM, Wednesday, July 16, 2008 at the First Baptist Church in Borger with Dr. Paul
Anderson, Pastor of Keeler Baptist Church officiating. Burial will follow at Westlawn Memorial Cemetery.
Arrangements entrusted to Brown Funeral Directors.
Pallbearers will be Buddy Reese, Larry Manasco, Steve Lawson, Shane Orr, Steve Hills and Sean Felker.
Honorary pallbearers will be Jerad Hamilton, Joseph Johnson, Jimmy Topper, Irvin Kirklin, Robert Wells,

Eunice Chapman
Eunice Chapman, 98, of Borger, passed away Monday, July 14, 2008 at Borger Healthcare.
Mrs. Chapman was born March 7, 1910 in Water Valley, Mississippi to John R. and Jossie Elizabeth
(Bell) Wootten. She was a member of the Fairlanes Baptist Church.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Cecil in 1995, son, Leland Chapman on March 2, 1968,
brother, Milton Wooten, and 2 sisters; Jessie Reynolds and Mildred Smith.
Survivors include her daughter, Joyce Shelton – Smitty of Borger, a grandson, Kevin and Leslie
Shelton of Amarillo, TX, a brother, J.R. Wootten of Jackson, TN and a great-grandson, Mark.
The family will receive friends at Brown Funeral Directors on Wednesday, July 16, 2008 from 6:00
PM – 8:00 PM. Graveside services will be Thursday, 2:00 PM, July 17, 2008 at Westlawn Memorial
Cemetery with Pastor LaVon Thompson, of Life of Praise Fellowship in Amarillo officiating. Funeral
arrangements are entrusted to Brown Funeral Directors.
Honorary pallbearers will be Danny Kindy, Richard Braymer, Junior Henson, Larry Joe Thompson,
Floyd Holliman and Gene Kurht.
Robbie Blake Ganziano
Robbie Blake Ganziano, 70, of Borger, died Wednesday, July 16, 2008 at Odessey Hospice in Amarillo.
She was born on April 6, 1938 to George & Thelma (Tillery) Newman in Beaumont. She was a clerk for the
American Council of the Blind.
Robbie was preceded in death by her daughter Gina Heyd in 2007
She is survived by 1 daughter, Dina Ganziano of Chicago, IL; 2 brothers, Jim Newman & Johnny Newman
both of Austin; cousins Shawnda Molinar, Pam Combs, Patti Thomas & Amber Lopez all of Borger; 3
grandchildren, Kristen Robinson, Cole Baxter, Roman Ganziano & 2 great grandchildren.
Memorial services will be 11:00 AM, Monday, July 21, 2008 at Celebration Family Church in Fritch with
Pastor Dwight Kirksey & Jim Newman officiating.

James "Jim" Wolfe
James “Jim” Wolfe, 73, of Borger, passed away Thursday, July 24, 2008 at his home.
He was preceded in death by his wife Darlene in 1993.
He is survived by 3 sons, Danny Wolfe & wife Linda of Fritch, Rick Wolfe & wife Kaye of Montrose, CO, Jimmy
Wolfe of Borger; 2 sisters, Aggie McDonald of Cedar Springs, MI, Annie Koons of Rochester, NY; 6
Grandchildren and 9 Great-grandchildren and his special friend Marie Robinson of Borger.
Graveside services will be 10:00 AM, Monday, July 28, 2008 at Westlawn Memorial Cemetery with Bruce
Ridling officiating.

Hester Juanita Williams
Hester Juanita Williams, 87, of Borger, passed away Tuesday, August 5, 2008 at Borger Healthcare Center.
Hester was born October 1, 1920 to J.M. & Dora McCleskey in Holly Creek, OK. She married Robert Clark
Williams on November 4, 1939 in Idabell, OK and was retired from Borger Independent School District.
She was preceded in death by her husband in 1978, a son Thomas Joe Williams and a great-granddaughter
Kayln Wills.
She is survived by four sons Bob & wife Linda of Sanford, Doug & wife Delores of Fritch, Haskel & wife
Charlene of Burleson, Jerry & wife Ruth of Fritch; one daughter Sue & husband Melvin Wills of Groom; one
daughter-in-law Donna Campos of Fritch; fourteen grandchildren; thirty-nine great-grandchildren & two
great-great-grandchildren.
Mrs. Williams will lie in state at Browns Chapel in Fritch, 5:00 PM, Tuesday, August 5, 2008 until service time.
Services will be 2:00 PM, Thursday, August 7, 2008 at the First Assembly of God in Fritch with Pastor Justin
Unwin officiating and Ivan Wade assisting. Burial will be at Westlawn Memorial Cemetery.
Eck Spahich
Eck Spahich, 63, of Fritch, passed away Wednesday, August 6, 2008 .
Mr. Spahich was born January 15, 1945 to Mohamed and Develeta Spahich in Tuzla, Croatia. He came
to Dumas, Texas when he was 15 years old. After serving in the Army in Vietnam he attended West
Texas State University. On April 20, 1973 he married Helen Reid in Borger. Eck was a realtor and an
active member of the community. He served in the Kiwanis’s where he twice served as president. He also
participated in the Satellite Program Workshop, a program hosted by MHMR. He was a member of the
Fritch Chamber of Commerce. He created the Croatian Philatelic newspaper which specialized in
collecting stamps representing the Balkan countries. He also started the Borger soccer league where he
coached many children.In addition he was a Master Mason and a Shriner.
Survivors include his wife, Helen of the home, a son Michael and Heather of Borger, a daughter; Holly
Walker of Pennsylvania and two grandchildren, Hayley and Brent Spahich of Borger.
Mr. Spahich will lie in state at Brown Funeral Directors Chapel of the Fountains in Borger until service time.
Services will be Saturday, August 9, 2008 at 1:00PM at the First Baptist Church in Borger with Pastor
Johnny Bernstein of First Baptist Church in Stinnett and Bobby Bridges officiating. Burial will be at
Westlawn Memorial Cemetery.
Virginia Lee Wright
Virginia Lee Wright, 85, of Fritch, passed away, Sunday, August 10, 2008 at her home.
Virginia was born August 1, 1923 in Avant, OK to Harry & Lou Elma Wood. She married Jimmie Dean Wright
on July 18, 1942 in Bartlesville, OK. She was a retired Lab Tech from Phillips Petroleum Co.
She is preceded in death by her husband in November 1990; a daughter Ileene Smith in August 1979 and a
granddaughter Kimberly Smith.
Virginia is survived by one daughter, Barbara Love & husband Jim of Fritch; three grandsons, Chris Smith of
Port Author, Monty McKinney of Amarillo, Tracy McKinney of Colorado Springs, CO; five great-grandchildren;
two great great-grandchildren and a sister Mary Jane McClellan.
Virginia will lie in state at Brown’s Chapel in Fritch, Monday August 11, 2008 until service time.
Casket bearers will be Ray Sumpter, Bryan Tate, Johnny Hodges, Dennis Gross, Jerry McClure & Brett Mills.
Services will be 11:00 AM, Wednesday, August 13, 2008 at the Assembly of God in Fritch with Pastor Justin
Unwin officiating and burial at Westlawn Memorial Cemetery following.

Ella Mae Newman
Ella Mae Newman, 89, of Borger, passed away Tuesday, August 12, 2008 in Borger.
Mrs. Newman was born March 22, 1919 in Cherokee County, Oklahoma to W.H. and Betty Maude
(Cookson) Henson. She married Floyd Oliver Newman in 1938. Mrs. Newman was a cook for the
Sands Restaurant.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Floyd, in January 1993 and 4 sisters.
Survivors include two sons; Don Newman & Mary Belle, and Jimmy Newman & Diane, all of
Borger, a daughter Mary Ella Newman Bennett of O'Brien, OR, a brother, Jack Henson of Fritch, 7
grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.
She will lie in state in Brown Chapel of the Fountains in Borger until service time.
Graveside services will be at 11:00 AM, Friday, August 15, 2008 at Highland Park Cemetery in
Borger with Rev. Leonard Forsythe officiating. Services entrusted to Brown Funeral Directors.
