Allen "Britches" Lemon, 64, of Stinnett, TX, died Monday, March 31, 2008 in Wheeler County, TX.
Mr. Lemon was born on February 19, 1944 in Borger, TX to Ralph & Velda Lemon. He was a Heavy
Equipment Operator for Four Wind Company in Pampa, TX and a member of the First Christian Church in
Stinnett, TX. He married Mert Cannon on September 10, 1980 in Stinnett, TX.
He was preceded in death by his parents and one sister Alice Lee.
He is survived by his wife, Mert Lemon of the home; 3 sons, Michael Lemon & wife Meaghan, Todd Lemon &
wife Darla all of Borger, Terry Lemon & wife Michelle of Saginaw, TX; 1 daughter, Vicki Adams & husband
Justin of Craig, CO; 1 brother, Glenn Lemon & wife Janice of Rio Rancho, NM; 2 sisters, Margie Hughes &
husband Orton of Arvada, CO & Betty Anderson & husband Bud of Stinnett, TX; and 8 grandchildren.
Memorial Services will be 10:00 AM, Friday, April 4, 2008 at the First Christian Church in Stinnett, TX with
Pastor Jim West officiating.

Jack Klaus
Jack R. Klaus, 85, of Borger, died Friday, April 4, 2008 at Baptist St. Anthony's Hospice in Amarillo, TX.
Mr. Klaus was born on December 6, 1922 in a log cabin on top of the Ozark Mountains in Arkansas .He was a
retired Shift Superintendent from Phillips Petroleum Company, a member of First Christian Church in Borger,
Adobe Walls Lodge # 1355 and the 32nd Degree Mason and the Shriners Khiva Temple of Amarillo. He also
served several years on the Phillips Blackhawk Independent School Board. He married Elouise Geraldean
Jackson February 9, 1942 in Seminole, OK.
Mr. Klaus turned 19 on December 6, 1941 and the next day on December 7, 1941, a turning point in American
history, the Japanese bombed Pearl Harbor. During that period, Mr. Klaus lived in Los Angeles and worked for
McDonnell Douglas Astronautics Corp where he then decided to join the Army Air Corps. He moved back to OK
and joined, being assigned as an Engine Mechanic for the B-24 bomber. He then attended several years of
schooling for assignment to the top-secret development of the B-29 bomber.
He was preceded in death by his wife on May 22, 2005 and a brother A.J. ”Dutch” Klaus in 2002 and his parents

Survivors include a son; Ronnie Jack Klaus & wife Kay of Borger; a daughter JoAnn Luna & husband Ruben of
Fritch; a sister Leota Greenleaf of Bay City, Michigan; 5 grandchildren, Rusty Jack Klaus of Amarillo, Donald
Jack Wilson of Rifle, Co, Kayla Clark of Guymon, OK, Christina Reasor of Fritch and Hannah Klaus of Borger; 6
great-grandchildren and 2 great great-grandchildren
Services will be 2:00 AM, Monday, April 7, 2008 at Brown’s Chapel Of The Fountains in Borger with burial at
Highland Park Cemetery following.
Marie Cornelius
Marie Ellen Armstrong Cornelius of Borger, 57, died Sunday, April 6, 2008 at Bishop deFalco Retreat Center in
Amarillo.
She was born January 19, 1951 in Dumas, TX to George Daniel Armstrong and Ila Myrl Hawes Floyd
Armstrong. She was a microbiologist for the City of Borger and a member of Wesley United Methodist Church,
active in Kairos Prison Ministries.
She was preceded in death by her parents, sister Patricia Kaye Floyd, and nephew, Dennis Malone.
She is survived by two sons, Denver Armstrong Cornelius of Borger and Alexander Nelson Cornelius of San
Angelo; one daughter, Aubrey Caroline Cornelius Lea of Oklahoma City, OK; one brother, Dennis Wiley Floyd of
Albuquerque, NM; two sisters, Shirley Jean Perkins of Weatherford, TX and Rev. Belle Armstrong (retired) of
Amarillo and three grandchildren.
Memorial services will be 11:00AM, Wednesday, April 9, 2008 at Wesley United Methodist Church with Dr. Jerry
Lane, pastor, officiating.
Cremation arrangements are entrusted to Brown Funeral Directors.
Elvin Hendrich
Elvin Hendrich of Borger, 67 died Monday, April 7, 2008 at BSA Hospice in Amarillo.
He was born February 2, 1942 in Bowie, TX to Paul Otto and Myrle Bell Hendrich .
He was a self-employed construction worker.
He is survived by numerous friends. Graveside services at Westlawn Cemetery will be 1:00PM, Saturday,
April 12, 2008 with Rev. Terry Porter, Pastor of First Church of the Nazarene officiating.
Sherry Lane
Sherry Lane, 64 of Jericho, formerly of Borger, died Sunday, April 13, 2008 at Baptist St. Anthony’s Hospice
in Amarillo, TX
Sherry was born August 10, 1943 in Delaware, OK to Orville & Ruby Mae (Dunn) Crupper. She married Dave
Lane on December 11, 1964 in Springcreek, TX. Sherry worked as a Headstart Elementary Teacher at
Lamar Elementary in Pampa, TX. She loved her job so much that she dreaded the summer break. She was a
member and very active in Cornerstone Baptist Church in Pampa, TX and an advocate of the Susan G.
Komen Breast Cancer Foundation Walk.
She was preceded in death by her parents.
She is survived by her husband; a son Ron Lane & wife Nikki of Guthrie, TX; 5 sisters, Betty Blair of
Oklahoma City, OK, Phyllis Crupper of Pampa, TX, Patsy Earnhart of Baton Rouge, LA, Linda Simmons &
husband Winfred of Pampa, TX and Vicky Truelock & husband Harvey of Paducah, TX; and numerous nieces
and nephews.
Services will be 2:30 PM, Wednesday, April 16, 2008 at Cornerstone Baptist Church in Pampa, TX with Rev.
Doug Hixson, Pastor officiating and burial at Memory Garden Cemetery in Pampa, TX.

Myrtle E. Kelsay
Myrtle E. Kelsay, 87, of Dallas Center, Iowa, formerly of Borger, died Tuesday, April 15, 2008, at Mercy Hospice
in Johnston, Iowa.
She was born in Sulfur, OK on September 20, 1920 to Jeff and Claudia (Dodson) Mayberry. She was married to
William Robert Kelsay for 62 years. Mrs. Kelsay was a homemaker and enjoyed arts, crafts and fishing.
She was preceded in death by her husband and two sons, Paul Dean Kelsay and Bobby Dan Kelsay.
She is survived by her son, Fred Kelsay of Dallas; daughter, Karen French of Grimes, IA; 11 grandchildren; 18
great-grandchildren and 1 great-great-grandchild.
Services will be 10:00a.m., Friday, April 18, 2008 at Eternal Light Pentecostal Holiness Church in Borger. Burial
will be at Lefors Cemetery. There will be family visitation Thursday, April 17, 2008 at Brown's Chapel Of The
Fountains in Borger.

Bobby Joe Wall, 44, of Borger, died Wednesday, April 16, 2008.
Bobby was born in Borger on June 6, 1963 to James & Mary Wall. He married Angela Luna August 24, 1985.
He was a welder & a grandfather- to- be.
He was preceded in death by his parents.

Vickie Lynn
Vickie V. Lynn of Borger, 60, died Thursday, April 17, 2008 at Golden Plains Community Hospital in Borger.
She was born May 1, 1947 in Dodge City, Kansas to Chester and Leah Bell (Kreger) Van Natta. She had
worked for Cal Farley Family Services for several years before she became disabled. Vickie also helped at M.A.
L.’s Café with public relations. She lived in Borger since 1991 and was also a member of the Stinnett community
through family and friends. She attended First Christian Church in Stinnett. She had attended Hooker, OK
school.
She is survived by 3 children: Johnny and Donna Smith of Eunice, NM, Michael and Jessica Lynn of Perryton,
Michelle and Chris Jones of Borger; 3 brothers; Chester Van Natta of Tulsa, OK, Jackie D. Van Natta of Stinnett,
Ron and Tonya Van Natta of Tulsa, OK; 3 sisters: Mary and Joe Honeycutt of Borger, Patty and Jerry Kennedy
of Hooker, OK, and Alice Garrard of Stinnett. Vickie also had 10 children: Johnny Smith of Pampa, Jennifer,
Blake and Zake Smith of Eunice, NM., Abbie, Avery and Bryce Lynn of Perryton, Hayley and Kyler Brewer and
Alex Jones of Borger and lots of nieces and nephews.
Vickie is preceded in death by her father, Chester W. Van Natta, December 29, 2003; mother, Leah Bell Van
Natta, May 8, 2004 and 1 sister, Sherry Van Natta, June 22, 2005.
She will lie in state from 12:00 Sunday, April 20, 2008 to Service time at Brown Memorial Chapel in Stinnett.
Services will be 2:00PM, Tuesday, April 22, 2008 at First Baptist church in Stinnett with Pastor Jim West, of First
Christian Church in Stinnett officiating. Burial at Stinnett Cemetery.
Harlene Judkins
Harlene Judkins, our Nanny, 64, left this life to be in the presence of our Lord on Monday, April 21, 2008.
She was born July 26, 1943 in Guymon, OK to Henry and Beatrice (Lytle) Roper. She married Denny Judkins
on July 31, 1960 in Guymon, OK. Harlene was a housewife, formerly of Amarillo, and a Stinnett resident for 11
years where she was a member of First Christian Church in Stinnett.
She is survived by her husband; 3 sons, Harlond Ray Judkins of Stinnett, Earl Judkins of Stinnett, D.J.
Judkins and Tina of Brownwood, TX; 2 daughters, Tammy and Clay Williamson of Amarillo, Sue Ann and
Lesley Jr. Barrett of Amarillo; 2 sisters, Irene Edwards of Spearman, Flo and Joe Barnett of Stinnett, 13
Grandchildren and 4 Great Grandchildren.
Harlene was preceded in death by 2 brothers, Harlond Roper in 1944, Emory D. Roper in 1980; and niece
Rae Karr in 1995.
Graveside services will be 11:00 AM Friday, April 25, 2008 at the Stinnett Cemetery with a memorial service at
2:00 PM Friday, April 25, 2008 at First Christian Church in Stinnett with Pastor Jim West officiating. She will lie
in state at Brown’s Memorial Chapel in Stinnett from Wednesday, April 23, 8:00 AM until service time.
Casketbearers will be Richard Bridges, Guy McKissick, Apple Manry, Mike Lamberson, Mac Conaway and
Jerry Lewis.

Paul Poole
Paul Poole of Borger, 45, died Tuesday, April 22, 2008 at Baptist St. Anthony’s Hospice in Amarillo.
He was born on December 21, 1962 in Borger to Max and Wilma (McCollom) Poole. He was a 1981 graduate
of Borger High School. He was an operator at ConocoPhillips and a Baptist.
Paul is survived by his father and mother; 5 brothers, Maxie Dale Poole & wife Barbara of Rosesharon, TX,
Roger Wayne Poole of Katie, TX, Rodney Wade Poole & wife Debby of Fritch, Mark Lewis Poole and Tracy
Boyd Poole, both of Borger.
Services will be at 2:00 PM, Friday, April 25, 2008 at Central Baptist Church in Borger with Rev. Chris Riley,
pastor of Central Baptist Church, Rev. John Denton and Pastor Willie Adams, pastor of Eternal Light
Pentecostal Church, officiating. Burial will be at Westlawn Cemetery in Borger.
Casket bearers will be Maxie Poole, Rodney Poole, Mark Poole, Tracy Poole, Jason Wolfe and Robert O’
Neal.
Honorary casket bearers will be Roger Poole, Daryl Robertson and Joel Robertson.
