Eleanor Beerhalter was born March 7, 1923, in San Antonio.

She was preceded in death by a daughter, Lena Lee Newsom.

Kailee Gayle Bell was born July 20, 1997, in Fort Worth.

MORGAN -- Roy David Carter, 71, a retired gospel singer and member of the Chuck Wagon Gang, died Monday, Aug. 4, 1997, at a Fort Worth hospital.

Funeral: 10 a.m. Friday at Richland Hills Church of Christ in North Richland Hills. Burial: Birdville Cemetery. Visitation: 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday.

Pallbearers: Don Watson, Doug Bastable, Michael Cole, Darrell Morris, Ricky Karnes and Paul Carter.

Roy David Carter was born March 1, 1926, in Calumet, Calif.

MINERAL WELLS -- Roger Dale Castleberry, 45, an oil field worker, died Tuesday, Aug. 5, 1997, at home.

Funeral: 2 p.m. Saturday at Baum- Carlock-Bumgardner Funeral Home. Burial: Pleasant Valley Cemetery in Palo Pinto County.

Roger Castleberry was born Sept. 13, 1951, in Slayton, Texas. He was a member of Pleasant Valley Baptist Church.

He was preceded in death by his father, Homer Taylor, in 1985, and a sister, Dena Taylor, in 1995.

Survivors: Mother, Ruth Taylor of Mineral Wells; father, R.D. Castleberry of Lubbock; brothers, Larry Castleberry and Weldon Taylor, both of Mineral Wells; and numerous nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins.

FORT WORTH -- Irene Edwards Clark, 76, a homemaker, died Monday, Aug. 4, 1997, at her home.

Funeral: 10 a.m. Saturday at Harvey Avenue Baptist Church, 1257 E. Harvey. Burial: Cedar Hill Memorial Park. Family hour: 7 to 8 p.m. Friday at the church.

Irene Edwards Clark was born March 15, 1921, in Marshall. She was preceded in death by her husband, Nathaniel Clark Sr.

Survivors: Sons, Nathaniel Clark Jr. and Fredrick Glenn Clark; daughters, Velma Louise Perry, Arnetha Clark Wilburn and Freda Elaine Clark-Cooper; 19 grandchildren; and five great- grandchildren.

William Clark Jr.
GRAPEVINE -- William Kelly Clark Jr., 64, a retired product service manager, died Monday, Aug. 4, 1997, at home after a four-year struggle with cancer.

Funeral: noon Friday at St. Timothy Cumberland Presbyterian Church in Bedford. Burial: Bluebonnet Hills Memorial Park. Visitation: 7 to 9 p.m. Thursday.

William Kelly Clark Jr. was born Aug. 21, 1932, in El Paso.

Mr. Clark graduated from San Jacinto High School in Houston. After serving four years in the Navy, he graduated from the University of Houston. He retired from Detroit Diesel Corp. after 33 years of service. He was a member of Gold Wing Road Rider Association for 15 years and a member of Chapter N of North Dallas for 12 years.

Survivors: Wife of 46 years, Shirley Clark of Grapevine; daughter, Deborah Curley and her husband, Pete, of Garland; mother, Mrs. W.K. Clark of Fredericksburg; sister, Kay Daigle and her husband, Allen, of Fredericksburg; and grandsons, Evan and Ryan Curley of Garland.

Floyd M. Couch
STEPHENVILLE -- Floyd M. Couch, 101, a watchmaker and jeweler, died Monday, Aug. 4, 1997, in Stephenville.

Funeral: 10 a.m. Friday at Lacy Funeral Home. Al Locke will officiate. Graveside Masonic service: 10 a.m. Saturday in Levelland Cemetery in Levelland.

Floyd M. Couch was born July 4, 1896, in Newburg. He married Lula Essie Barton on May 30, 1920; she predeceased him Nov. 12, 1980. He moved to Stephenville 32 years ago from Levelland.

He was a Baptist, a member of the American Legion and a 75-year member of the Masonic Lodge.

Survivors: Grandsons, Bob Darwin of Conroe and Floyd M. Couch III of Irving; and granddaughter, Carol Williams of Richardson.

FORT WORTH -- Audrey Riley Emerton, 79, a homemaker, died Wednesday, Aug. 6, 1997, in Fort Worth.

Funeral: 2 p.m. Saturday at Laurel Land Funeral Home of Fort Worth. Officiating will be the Rev. Jesse Ronnel Ferguson. Burial: Laurel Land Memorial Park of Fort Worth.

Audrey Riley Emerton was born March 20, 1918, in Moore, Ark. She had lived in Fort Worth for 37 years.

Mrs. Emerton was preceded in death by her husband, Lewis Emerton, and a son, David Lee Sanders.

Survivors: Sons, J.W. Sanders of Tulsa, Okla., James Sanders of Dardanelle, Ark., and Stanley Sanders and Cecil Sanders, both of Fort Worth; daughters, Joyce L. Sanders of Fort Worth and Elizabeth Eubanks of Kennedale; brothers, William Euel Riley, George Riley, Buford Riley and Buster Riley; sister, Nova Joyce Tucker; 16 grandchildren; and numerous great- grandchildren.

Lonnie Wesley Ferris Jr.
CROWLEY -- Lonnie Wesley Ferris Jr., 66, a plant manager for John Mansville Co. who retired in 1975, died Tuesday, Aug. 5, 1997, at a Fort Worth hospital.

Funeral: 11 a.m. Friday at Pleasantville Baptist Church. Burial: Crowley Cemetery. Visitation: 6 to 9 p.m. Thursday at Baumgardner Funeral Home in Crowley.

Full military honors will be held at the graveside by the U.S. Marine Corps.

Charles Earnest Fulfer
FORT WORTH -- Charles Earnest Fulfer, 64, a retired truck driver, passed away Tuesday, Aug. 5, 1997, at home after a short illness with lung cancer.

Charles Fulfer was born Nov. 18, 1932, in Telephone.

He was a retired truck driver, having worked for ICX from 1962 to 1984 and for Consolidated Freightways from 1984 to 1996. He was a member of Central Baptist Church in Bedford and Odd Fellow Lodge No. 52.

He was preceded in death by his son, B.J. Fulfer.

Survivors: Wife, Janie Fulfer of Fort Worth; sons, Ernie Fulfer of Palatka, Fla., David Fulfer of Fort Worth and James Fulfer of Wichita, Kan.; daughters, Gerene Bryant of Fort Worth, Debra Calleros of Tucumcari, N.M., and Delita Cox of Fort Worth; sisters, Opal O'Hara of Fort Worth, Mary Ann Fulfer of Rogers, Ark., and Beatrice Jones of Gunter; seven grandchilden; and one great- grandchild.

Mary Lee Gregg
FORT WORTH -- Mary Lee Gregg, 88, a hotel executive housekeeper, died Tuesday, Aug. 5, 1997, at a Fort Worth hospital.

Funeral: 11 a.m. Friday at Mount Olivet Funeral Home. Burial: Mount Olivet Cemetery. Visitation: 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.

Mary Lee Gregg was born June 30, 1909, in Hermleigh, the youngest of five children born to Allen and Maude Howell. She grew up in Alvord and came to Fort Worth in 1943. She worked most of her life for the Blackstone and Hilton hotels, retiring from the Hilton in 1987.

Mrs. Gregg was a Christian and was active with lay mission work in several congregations. She was preceded in death by her husband, Homer Gregg, in 1983.

Survivors: Daughters and son-in-law, Lee Robertson and Joy and Frank Kline, all of Fort Worth; brother, Leslie Howell of Archer City; sister, Clella Lasiter of Saginaw; four grandchildren; six great- grandchildren; and four great-great- grandchildren
