MINERAL WELLS -- Bessie Elizabeth Trevathan, 85, a retired home health caretaker, died Sunday, Aug. 3, 1997, at a Mineral Wells hospital.

Funeral: 10 a.m. Wednesday at Baum-Carlock-Bumgardner Funeral Home in Mineral Wells. Burial: Oran Cemetery in Palo Pinto County.

Bessie Trevathan was born June 8, 1912, in Mineral Wells. She was very active in the Home Demonstration Club for many years. She was a member of the Church of Christ.

Survivors: Son, Thomas Trevathan of Mineral Wells; sister, Ruth Saul of Salesville; grandchildren, Kathy, Betsey and Corey Trevathan of Mineral Wells and Leland Trevathan of Midland; three great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

BRIDGEPORT -- Katherine Lee Tucker, 76, a homemaker, died Sunday, Aug. 3, 1997, in Bridgeport.

Katherine Tucker was born June 11, 1921, in Honey Grove, Texas.

Survivors: Sisters, Della Kelly and Dora Dean Miller, both of Fort Worth; and brother-in-law and sister-in-law, B.H. and Kathleen Tucker of Lipan.

James "Jim" Wallace

JOSHUA -- James "Jim" Wallace, 48, a master electrician and plumber with the city of Joshua, died Saturday, Aug. 2, 1997, at home.

Funeral: 10 a.m. Wednesday at Crosier-Pearson-Mayfield Funeral Home. Burial: Caddo Cemetery, near Joshua. Visitation: 7 to 9 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.

James Wallace was born Jan. 7, 1949, in Clarinda, Iowa.

David J. Abshier was born Feb. 1, 1913.

Survivors: Wife, Lela Abshier; son, William Walker and his wife, Joyce, of Watauga; six grandchildren; 12 great- grandchildren; and one great-great- grandchild.

BLASDELL, N.Y. - Mary C. Bednarz, a former longtime resident of Fort Worth, died Friday, Aug. 1, 1997.

Funeral was at 9:30 a.m. Monday at Our Mother of Good Council Catholic Church in Blasdell.

Memorials: Roswell Park Cancer Institute, Elm and Carlton streets, Buffalo, N.Y. 14263, in lieu of flowers.

Mary C. Bednarz was preceded in death by a sister, Laura Barbatt.

Hazel Berryman was born Dec. 28, 1910, in Marietta, Okla., to Andrew Jackson and Aletha Ann Armstrong Brown.

She had lived in Euless one year, moving from Fort Worth. She married William T. Berryman in 1969. She was a Baptist.

She was preceded in death by her first husband, William Monroe Tate, in 1956, and daughter, Sharon Tate, in 1982.

Survivors: Grandchildren, Judy Johnson and Blaine Tate, both of Euless; sister, Gertrude Cunningham of Irving; and several nieces and nephews.

Archie F. Dodson
BRAZORIA - Archie F. Dodson, 81, a retired electronics technician for the FAA, died Sunday, Aug. 3, 1997, in Brazoria.

Funeral: 11 a.m. Wednesday at Greenwood Funeral Home. Burial: Greenwood Memorial Park.

Archie Dodson was born Feb. 19, 1916, in Plainview, Texas. After serving four years in the Army, Mr. Dodson transferred to the United States Air Force, retiring in December of 1951 as a master sergeant. He then went to work for the civil service as an electronics technician, retiring from the FAA in 1973.

Archie Dodson was a charter member of Burton Hill Baptist Church and was a member of River Oaks Baptist Church in Fort Worth, where he served as a deacon.

He married Alta Neill Jan. 7, 1943, in Dallas.

He made his home in Fort Worth for more than 40 years before moving to Brazoria one year ago to live with his daughter. He loved his family, God, his church and golf. He will be missed greatly by his family and friends.

Survivors: Wife of 54 years, Alta; son and daughter-in-law, Terry and Bess Dodson of Fort Worth; daughter and son-in-law, Carolyn and Charles Conant of Brazoria; brothers, Dudley Dodson of Justin and James Dodson of Kenner, La.; sisters, Dimples Estes of Monahans, Nancy Rosso of LaFayette, Calif., and Betty Overton of Albuquerque, N.M.; grandchildren, Teri Lyn Gray, Blair Dodson, Angela Dodson, and Michael, Kevin, and Lee Conant; and five great- grandchildren.

Daniel Blaine Franklin
BRIDGEPORT - Daniel Blaine Franklin, 27, a mechanic, passed away Wednesday, July 30, 1997, at his home in Jack County.

Graveside service: was 2 p.m. Sunday in Gibtown Cemetery.

Daniel Franklin was born March 5, 1970, in Bridgeport.

Daniel loved working on cars, hunting and helping others. Beloved son and brother, he left this Earth much too soon to go on to a better place. His kind and gentle spirit will be missed by us all.

He was preceded in death by his father, John Henry Franklin Sr.

Survivors: Mother, Shirley Franklin of Fort Worth; brothers, John Henry Franklin Jr. of Bridgeport and Staff Sgt. David Franklin of Minot, N.D.; sisters, Susan Mahaffey of Oklahoma City, Sheryl Lambert of Bridgeport and Sondrea King of Fort Worth; and nieces, nephews and other friends and relatives.
