Jose Mendiola was born May 15, 1924, in Talpa, Texas.
He was preceded in death by two daughters, Isabelle Lara and Lorine Jalomo.

Randolph Minor Jr. was born Nov. 22, 1923, in Anderson and had lived here for 46 years. He served in the Marine Corps, from which he was honorably discharged.

Laleta Moore
HURST -- Laleta Wood Moore, 76, a homemaker, passed away Sunday, Aug. 3, 1997, at a local nursing home after a long illness.

Laleta Wood Moore was born June 16, 1921, in Fort Worth.
She was a resident of Fort Worth the majority of her life and graduated from Arlington Heights High School and attended TCU.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Marvin J. Moore, in 1992.

Evelyn Dawkins Smith was born March 15, 1909, in Admiral. She had lived in Fort Worth for six years and had formerly resided in Huntsville for 40 years. She was a member of the Church of Christ. Mrs. Smith married Wade Smith in Breckenridge.

FORT WORTH -- James E. "Jim Edd" Smith, a retired manager, died Saturday, Aug. 2, 1997, at a local hospital after a long and courageous battle with Parkinson's diease.

James E. Smith was born in Bynum. He was married to Tommie M. Wade in May of 1941. He worked more than 20 years in the furniture department at Leonard's Department Store and retired from the Army-Navy Store of Haltom City in 1989. He was a longtime member of Riverside Baptist Church where he served as a deacon, Sunday school teacher and in the bus ministry. He was a loving husband, father and grandfather. His granddaughters were his pride and joy. He was devoted to his family, his work and his church and will be sorely missed by those who loved him.
