Mana Marshall Wallace was born March 27, 1923, in Fort Worth. She graduated from Polytechnic High School. Mrs. Wallace was employed by Ford Aerospace as a switchboard operator/ supervisor in Tustin. She was president of the Officers' Wives League.

Joan Williams was born Sept. 21, 1919, in Danbury, Conn.
She had been a resident of Fort Worth since 1946. She served in the Navy during World War II as a chief pharmacist mate. She was a member of St. Peter the Apostle Catholic Church and was a volunteer in many areas sponsored by the American Legion Auxiliary, including the Fort Worth Food Bank. She was honored in 1996 as Volunteer of the Year by the state of Texas of the American Legion Auxiliary.

Ms. Harper lived in the Fort Worth area 20 years, working as a highly respected counselor in the chemical dependency field and counseling alcoholics, drug addicts and their families.
Ms. Harper was a deeply spiritual, loving and unselfish, rare woman. She touched a great many lives and will be profoundly missed by those who were lucky enough to know her.

BURLESON -- Bruce Theodore Havins, 88, a retired General Dynamics electronics technician, died Friday, Aug. 1, 1997, at a Fort Worth hospital.

Bruce Theodore Havins was born Aug. 23, 1908, in Thurber, and had resided in Burleson for 20 years. Mr. Havins was a member of the Thurber Historical Association and Boulevard Baptist Church of Burleson. He enjoyed fishing, hunting and sports and loved life! After retirement, he spent several years doing research on family histories.
Mr. Havins was preceded in death by his first wife, Inez Havins, and his second wife, Alma Hardman Havins.
Survivors: Son, Harry R. Havins of Houston; brother, Harry M. Havins of Tucson, Ariz.; sister, Lois Helms of Fort Worth; stepson, John Hardman of Dallas; and stepdaughter, Rosemary Kretzschmar of Dallas.
