Michael Neel Hamrick
Michael Neel Hamrick, 57, of Cypress, Texas passed away at home on Sunday, March 8, 2009.
Michael was born on June 11, 1951 in Houston, Texas to Mr. and Mrs. George C. Hamrick. A lifelong resident of the Houston area, Michael graduated Channelview High School in 1969 and went on to receive a BA in English Literature from the University of Houston.
Michael was a project manager for over 20 years with Bechtel, a member of the SPCA and the U of H Alumni Association. Michael loved music, listening and playing both piano and guitar. Additionally he appreciated great literature, art and movie classics. Mostly, he loved spending time with his family.
Michael was preceded in death by his father George C. Hamrick, sister, Pamela, and brother, Willis Lynn.
He is survived by his mother Doris Maxine Hamrick, step-daughters, Nicole, Danielle, and Jennifer, and many members of his extended family.
The family will receive guests on Thursday, March 12, 2009 from 4-8PM at Sterling-White Funeral Home 11011 Crosby-Lynchburg Rd. Highlands, TX 77562. Funeral Services will be held Friday, March 13, 2009 at 10AM at Sterling-White Funeral Home followed by burial services at Sterling-White Cemetery.
Ruth Ann Ganson Sherma
Ruth Ann Ganson Sherman, 61, of Gainesville died March 3, 2009 at River Valley Health and Rehabilitation Center.
She was born November 20, 1947 in Hot Springs, Arkansas to Dorothy Nell Hignight and Woodrow Wilson Ganson. She was the oldest of 3 children.
Ruth retired from North Central Texas College in 2006.
She is survived by her children Greg Sherman and wife Melanie of Lewisville and Amanda Cobb and husband Allen of Gainesville. Grandchildren Seth and Samuel, brothers Collins Ganson of Katy, Texas, Danny Ganson of Portland, Texas and mother Dorothy Ganson of Katy, Texas, and countless friends and family members whose lives were better for knowing her.
Preceded in death by her father, Woodrow Wilson Ganson.
A memorial service is planned for Saturday, March 14, 2009 2:00 P.M. at First United Methodist Church in Gainesville. Contributions may be made to First United Methodist Church of Gainesville, Cooke County Home Hospice, or charity of your choice.
Consepcion Duran
Consepcion Duran, 67 passed away at a local hospital in Baytown surrounded by his loving family, on Tuesday march 10, 2009. Born on December 8, 1941 in Mendes, Tamaulipas, Mexico to Consepcion an Irene Duran. He lived in Baytown 33 years.
Preceded in death by his father Consepcion Duran, brother Octaviano Duran, sisters, Anita Gonzalez and Esperanza Villareal. Consepcion was a devoted husband, father, son, grandfather and friend. He will be missed dearly.
Survived by his loving wife of 44 years Maria S Duran of Baytown; son Julio S Duran and wife Tanya of Baytown; daughter, Martha Lucatero and husband Albino of Baytown; mother, Irene Duran of Mexico; brothers, Servando, Rafael, Jose Angel and Lupe Duran; sisters Leonila Ramirez, Ester Gomez, Senaida Mireles; grandchildren, Alex, Kaitlyn, Andrew Lucatero, Natalie and Julie Duran; Greatgrandaughter Nazaret Lucatero. Also Survived by other family members and a host of friends. Pallbearers: Julio S Duran, Albino Lucatero, Alex Lucatero, Lorenzo Duran, Octaviano Duran Jr. and Javier Gutierrez. Visitation will be held at Guillen-Baytown Funeral Home, on March 13, 2009, Friday from 5:00 to 9:00pm with a Rosary at 7:00pm. Funeral Mass will held at Our Lady Of Guadalupe Catholic Church on March 14, 2009 at 10:00am. Father Jesus Guerrero officiating. Interment to follow at Memory Garden in Baytown Tx. Marian Sherman
Marian Y. Sherman, 77, of Beaumont, died Monday, March 9, 2009 at The Oaks of Beaumont. A native of Baytown and resident of Beaumont since 1965, Marian was an Optician with TSO and a retired agent with Woodmen of the World Insurance.
Her parents, Adah and Lloyd Sherman; daughter, Kathleen Watkins; son, James Raiford; and brother, Charles Sherman preceded her in death.
Survivors include her daughters, Nancy Barrow and her husband Joe of Westbury and Charlotte Hamilton and her husband Bruce of Fannett; sons, David Raiford and his wife Molly of Beaumont and Danny Watkins and his wife Maureen of Flower Mound; brothers, William Sherman of Trophy Club, Lonnie Sherman of Sal Ado and Ed Sherman of Silsbee; sisters, Jeanine Houghton of Baytown and Norma Cook of Wallisville; companion, Mr. Terry Delaney of Beaumont, ten grandchildren; and ten great grandchildren.
Her funeral service will be 2:00 p.m. Friday, March 13, 2009 at Broussard’s, 1605 North Major Drive, Beaumont with a graveside service at 4:00 p.m. Friday afternoon at Sherman Cemetery in Wallisville. A gathering of family and friends will be from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Thursday, March 12, 2009 at Broussard’s.

Pamela Faye Benoit
Pamela Faye Benoit passed away Monday, March 9, 2009, in Mont Belvieu, Texas, after battling a lengthy illness. She was born May 6, 1960, in Lake Charles, LA, to Eddie Joseph and Myrtle (Granger) Benoit. She loved her family very much and enjoyed writing poetry and drawing. She loved music and was a caring and considerate person.
Pamela is survived by her parents; daughters, Crystal and husband, Jason, of Evans, LA and Stephanie Stickell and husband, Nick, of Lake Charles; brothers, Joey Benoit and wife, Ruth Fleming, of New Fane, Vermont, and Jules Benoit and wife, Teresa, of Dayton; sister, Peggy West and husband, Gary, of Baytown; grandchildren, Jordyn, Brandt, Koby, and Jackson; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Sandra King Kloha
Sandra King Kloha, 69, of Baytown was born June 14, 1939 in Baytown and peacefully passed away Sunday, March 8, 2009. She was a 1957 graduate of Robert E. Lee High School, where she was a proud member of the Brigadiers. She was also a graduate of Lee College. She was a member of the Kappa Kappa Chapter of Beta Sigma Phi and the Methodist faith. Sandra worked tirelessly as a personnel agent and manager. She was a very giving person who often went above and beyond for those seeking employment, even offering them transportation to job interviews and work sites. The relationships she built between clients and employers helped her earn numerous awards throughout her career.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Jack and Willie Mae King and brother, Steve King. She is survived by her sons, Tod Rosenbaum and Jay Rosenbaum and wife, Toni and daughter, Tonya Borton Mayberry and husband, Phil, all of Baytown; grandchildren, Brandon, Lauren and Matthew Rosenbaum, Jonathan Taylor, Clay Mayberry and Nick Valdez; and special cousins, Susan and Doug Williams of Baytown and Frank and Virginia King of Pasadena.
Her family will receive friends at Navarre Funeral Home Tuesday from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Graveside services will be Wednesday, March 11, 2009 at 2:00 p.m. at Memory Gardens Cemetery with Rev. Bill Yowell officiating.

Herminia Morin
Herminia Morin 87, of Baytown, Texas passed away March 6, 2009 in Baytown.
Herminia was born on January 11, 1922 in Panna Maria, Texas to Ignacio and Francesca (Sanches) Gonzales.
She has lived in the Baytown area for 55 years where she cleaned homes. In her spare time she enjoyed making blankets, fishing, cooking, gardening and spending time with her family. Herminia was a very loving and caring wife, mother, grandmother and friend who will be missed by all who knew her.
She is preceded in death by her parents Ignacio Sr. and Francesca (Sanches) Gonzales, husband Luciano G. Morin Sr., brother Santos Gonzales, brother Ignacio Gonzales Jr. and son Luciano G. Morin Jr.
She is survived by her son Alfredo G. Morin Sr. and wife Guadalupe, son Roy Morin Sr. and wife Juanita, 8 grandchildren, 23 great grandchildren, 1 great great grandchild and many other relatives and friends.
A visitation for family and friends will be held Tuesday, March 10, 2009 from 5-8pm at Sterling-White Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held Wednesday, March 11, 2009 1:30pm at Sterling-White Funeral Home with burial following at San Jacinto Cemetery. Kay Ellen Conner
Kay Ellen Conner, 58, of San Leon, passed away on Sunday, March 8, 2009.
She is survived by her husband, Danny Conner; sons, Jeremiah Johnson and Paxton Johnson, both of Pennsylvania; step-daughter, Sonya Silvia of Portsmouth, RI; step-son, Danny Cook, Jr. of Middleton, RI; three grandchildren and brothers, Dick Norman, Kenny Norman and Bobby Norman.
A memorial service will be held on Thursday, March 12, 2009, at 1:00 p.m., in the Earthman Funeral Home Chapel.

Blanche Whisenant Graham
Blanche Whisenant Graham, 85, of Baytown, passed away on March 8, 2008.
She was born in Kerens, Navarro County, TX, on Sept. 19, 1923, to Henry Lloyd Whisenant and Gladys June Foster. She grew up in Tyler, TX, where she received her training as a Medical Laboratory Technologist. During WWII, she worked in the medical lab at Camp Fannin, TX.
On Jan. 18, 1945, Blanche married the love of her life, Arthur Milford Graham of Athens, TX, who was serving in the Navy. Shortly after his discharge, they moved to a small home in Highlands, TX. After a few years, they again moved to Baytown, TX, where they lived the rest of their lives. In 1948, a daughter, Euna June Graham was born to Blanche and Milford.
In 1955, Blanche returned to her career, working at San Jacinto Hospital on Decker Dr., Baytown, where she worked for about 25 years. Blanche and Milford were members of Cedar Bayou United Methodist Church and later St. Paul’s United Methodist Church. When St. Paul’s United Methodist Church closed, her membership transferred to St. Mark’s United Methodist Church. She was a member of the Daughters of the American Revolution, Goose Creek Chapter.
Blanche was a loving mother, grandmother and great grandmother, and she will be remembered for her kind and generous heart.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Milford Graham; mother and father, Gladys June Foster and Henry Lloyd Whisenant; sisters, Reba Faye Whisenant and Rebecca Ann White; brother, Richard Whisenant and stepmother, Lena Shiflet Whisenant.
She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Euna June Graham and John Dunkleman of Baytown; granddaughter and her husband, Judy Lynn Bennett and David Brechtel of Baytown; grandson and his wife, Jonathan Graham Bennett and Jennifer Chandler of Kempner, TX; six great grandchildren, Zachary Brechtel, Jacob Brechtel, Jonathan Austin Bennett, Ethan Bennett, Micah Bennett and Elizabeth Smith; sisters and brothers-in-law, Christine and David Wein of Colorado Springs, CO, Molly Wyatt of Tyler, TX, Laverne and Michael Gollob of Tyler, TX, and Betty and Johnny Crossland of Longview, TX.
The family will receive friends on Wednesday, March 11, 2009, from 4 to 8 p.m., at Earthman Funeral Home.
Services will be held at 2 p.m., Thursday, March 12, 2009, at St. Mark’s United Methodist Church, 3811 N. Main Street, Baytown, TX.
