RICHLAND HILLS -- Ernest E. Driskill, 82, a retired Fort Worth Transit Co. driver, died Monday, July 21, 1997, in Bedford.

Ernest E. Driskill was born Sept. 6, 1914, in Grapevine. He was a member of Bridgewood Church of Christ. He retired after 33 years with the Fort Worth Transit Co.
As a World War II veteran, Mr. Driskill received a citation for the Bronze Star Medal and also received six Bronze Battle Star Awards for battle campaigns.
Survivors: Wife, Edith "Dee" Driskill of Richland Hills; brother, Ross Driskill; sister, Lamoyne Bradford; and several grandchildren, nieces and nephews.

FORT WORTH -- U.C. Frost, 82, a retired heavy equipment operator, died Monday, July 21, 1997, in Fort Worth.
Masonic graveside service: 2 p.m. Wednesday in Laurel Land Memorial Park of Fort Worth.
Memorials: Vitas Hospice Care or the American Cancer Society. Urban Castleberry Frost was born March 4, 1915, in Henderson County to W.E. Frost and Callie Cook Frost. He served as a Merchant Marine during World War II and worked as a heavy equipment operator for many years. He was a longtime member of the Masonic Lodge.
He was preceded in death by his parents, four brothers and one sister.
Urby took great pleasure in his family.

Harold Ray Goode
FORT WORTH -- Harold Ray Goode, 78, a retired Montgomery Ward employee, died at his home Monday, July 14, 1997.
Graveside service: 2 p.m. Thursday in Hillcrest Memorial Park in Dallas. The Rev. Bill Stephenson will officiate.
Harold Ray Goode was born June 10, 1919, in Greenville. He grew up in Dallas and graduated from Highland Park High School in 1937 and graduated from Southern Methodist University in 1941 with a bachelor of science degree in commerce.
During World War II he trained at the Naval Midshipmen's schools at Notre Dame and Harvard Graduate School. He served from 1943 to 1946 in the Navy with the rank of lieutenant in NACTU Fleet Air Wing Five, Key West, Fla.
He worked as merchandising manager at Montgomery Ward in Fort Worth, retired in 1983 after 36 years.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Glenn E. and Gwendolyn M. Goode, and older brother, Glenn E. Goode Jr.
Survivors: His sister, Marjorie G. Cardwell and brother-in-law, Clarence E. Cardwell Jr. of Midland; nephews, William E. Cardwell of Newport Beach, Calif., Robert G. Cardwell of Austin, Buddy Goode and his wife, Cathy, of Dallas and Gary Goode; nieces, Glenda May and Libby Hall of Dallas; and an aunt, Mrs. J. Harold Goode of Burr Ridge, Ill.

Mildred Clayton Hays
SAN ANTONIO -- Mildred Clayton Hays, 85, a homemaker, died Sunday, July 20, 1997, at a San Antonio medical center after a brief illness.
Funeral: 10 a.m. Thursday at Saint Andrews Episcopal Church. Burial: Shannon Rose Hill Memorial Park. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at Shannon-TCU Funeral Chapel.

Mildred Hays was born in Hartford, Ark., to Garrett and Belle Stewart Clayton. Mildred married Cloyd Austin Hays on June 11, 1930. He passed away on Dec. 24, 1970. Cloyd was retired from the Air Force as a colonel. They moved to Fort Worth in 1942 and remained there after Cloyd was medically retired. She was a member of St. Andrews Episcopal Church in Fort Worth for 47 years. She was the directress of the Altar Guild, Women of St. Andrews, St. Hilda's Guild, and was president of the Penelope Club, a division of the Woman's Club of Fort Worth.
She was also a member of the Order of the Eastern Star and Daughters of the Nile. She worked for the federal government in HUD, Corps of Engineers and the FHA. She retired from the civil service in 1981. She moved to San Antonio in 1995 to be closer with her family.
Survivors: Son, Colonel (USAF retired) Allen Hays and his wife, Nancy, of San Antonio; sister, Edythe Crapson of Topeka, Kan.; grandchildren, Patricia of Jonesboro, Ark., Karen and Tom Owens of Syracuse, N.Y., Craig and Debi Hays of San Antonio and Kevin Hays of Dallas; and great-grandchildren, Amber and Brandi Hays, and Thomas and Riley Owens.
