Richard Dean Wasson Sr.
FORT WORTH -- Richard Dean Wasson Sr., 49, a quality control inspector at Lockheed Martin, died Saturday, July 19, 1997, at a hospital.
Funeral: 3:30 p.m. Tuesday at Greenwood Funeral Home. Burial: Greenwood Memorial Park.
Richard Dean Wasson Sr. was born Feb. 12, 1948, in Sedalia, Mo. He was baptized at Emmett Avenue Baptist Church in Sedalia. Among other awards, he won the Western Missouri Debate Team title while attending Sedalia High School. He completed one year of college at Central Missouri State, where he continued to be very active in the Democratic Pary. He moved to the Northwestern coast in 1967 to work for the Boeing Minute Man Missile program. He moved to Aledo in 1977 with his parents and his brother. He worked in quality control for Lockheed Martin, formerly General Dynamics, for 19 years. He graduated from Dallas Baptist University in 1994 with a business degree. He was a member of the Fort Worth Masonic Tabernacle Lodge No. 1195 and was a 32nd Scottish Rite Mason and a member of the Moslah Shrine Temple.
Dick was an ardent admirer of Ernest Hemingway and also had "grace under pressure."
He was preceded in death by his parents, William R. "Papa" Wasson and Patricia "Pat" Wasson.
He was a loving husband, father, brother and friend to many. Dick had an unusual, witty humor and always had a joke or story to tell. Dick will be missed by all who met him.
Survivors: Wife of exactly 16 years, Pamela Kermott Reeves Wasson of Fort Worth, whom he married on July 19, 1981; son, Richard "Ricky" D. Wasson Jr. of Fort Worth; daughter, Kristine Reeves Davis and her husband, Donnie, of Fort Worth; brother, Charles "Chuck" and sister-in-law, Kathy Wasson, of Fort Worth; grandparents, William Jennings Vaught, age 100, of Sedalia, Mo.; nephews, Willie Wasson, Brandon Thompson and Brian Thompson; and numerous aunts, uncles, cousins and friends throughout Texas, Missouri and the United States.

Hazel Williams was born Jan. 5, 1909, in Commerce, Texas. She was a member of Poly Methodist Church.
She was preceded in death by her husband, James Marshall Williams, in 1995.

Harold Willison
CLEBURNE -- Harold Willison, 52, a retired air conditioning repairman, died Thursday, July 17, 1997, at a local hospital.

Harold Willison was born March 11, 1945, in Rutland, Ohio.
He had worked for Cleburne Pin Center Bowl four years, Dewitt Mechanical in Vinton, Ohio, 17 years and Lee's Paint and Body Shop in Keene from 1981 to 1992.

James D. Wilmeth
FORT WORTH -- James D. Wilmeth, 86, a retired Army colonel, died Sunday, July 20, 1997, in Fort Worth.
Funeral: 11 a.m. Tuesday at Greenwood Funeral Home. Burial: Greenwood Memorial Park.
Col. Wilmeth was born Oct. 30, 1910, in Ballinger. He was a graduate of Fort Worth Central High School, the United States Military Academy at West Point and the University of Texas at Austin. Col. Wilmeth served in World War II in North Africa and in Europe and was also a member of the U.S. Military Mission to Moscow. He also served in Korea and Japan.
He was awarded the Army Commendation Ribbon with one Oak Leaf Cluster, the Bronze Star Medal, the American Campaign Medal, the Asiatic- Pacific Campaign Medal, European- African-Middle Eastern Campaign Medal, the World War II Victory Medal, the Army of Occupation of Germany Medal and the Army of Occupation of Japan Medal.
After his retirement from the military he was a professor of Russian at the University of Texas at Arlington for 17 years and established the Russian Language and Soviet Studies program.
After his retirement from UTA, he and his wife traveled extensively throughout the United States, Canada, Europe, Asia and Australia.
Mr. Wilmeth was a member of Hemphill Presbyterian Church.

ARLINGTON -- Orin Melvin Wilshire, 87, who retired from highway construction with Brown and Blakney Construction, died Sunday, July 20, 1997, at a Mansfield hospital.

Orin Melvin Wilshire was born Aug. 22, 1909, in Crowley.

Billye Yvonne Ali
FORT WORTH -- Billye Yvonne Ali, 57, a federal employee, died Saturday, July 19, 1997, at a Fort Worth hospital.

Billye Yvonne Ali was born April 23, 1940, in Fort Worth. Billye was formerly a member of St. James Baptist Church and had united with Macedonia Baptist Church under Pastor Julius Jackson. She was active in the choir, mission and Sunday school and was a member of the Prayer Team. She was a loyal member of the I.M. Terrell Alumni Association and worked tirelessly for that organization. She was an excellent initiator of social and charitable affairs and was well- known and liked. Billye was a loyal employee of the federal government until declining health prevented it.

Clyde Derwood Brunson
ARDMORE, Okla. -- Clyde Derwood Brunson, 81, a retired general construction heavy equipment operator, died Monday, July 21, 1997, at a local nursing home.
Graveside service: 11 a.m. Thursday in Moore Memorial Gardens in Arlington, Texas. Visitation: 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at Lucas Funeral Home in Fort Worth.
Clyde Derwood Brunson was born Feb. 12, 1916, in Tom Green County, Texas.
He was a Baptist and a 30-year resident of Fort Worth. He later was a resident of Ardmore, Okla., for five years. He was an Army veteran of World War II in the 2nd Armored Division under Gen. Patton, seeing combat in the Africa Division and the Sicily invasion. He also served in Normandy on D-Day through the Battle of the Bulge.
Mr. Brunson was preceded in death by his parents and 10 brothers and sisters.
Survivors: Daughter, Margaret Lou Lutes of Tonkawa, Okla.; two grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
