FORT WORTH -- Frances Anne Farmer, 76, a homemaker and beloved mother and grandmother, died Friday, July 18, 1997, at a local hospital.
Mass of Christian burial: 10 a.m. Tuesday at St. Mary of the Assumption Catholic Church. Burial: Private at Greenwood Cemetery of Weatherford. Visitation: 6 to 9 p.m. Sunday at the residence of Mr. and Mrs. Mike McConnell.

Frances Farmer was born May 17, 1921, in Detroit, Mich. She worked for Packard Motor Co., until World War II, when she served in the Women's Army Air Corps. She married Air Force Captain Bob Lukeman in 1946. They had three children and moved to Fort Worth in 1951. In 1961, she married John Marsh Farmer, from a pioneer Parker County ranching and farming family. They lived and farmed in Dell City from 1971 to 1985.
She was preceded in death by her brother, James Drennan of Redford Township, Mich., sister, Mary Drennan of Detroit, and her husband of 29 years, John Marsh Farmer of Dell City and Parker County. She was a member of the Dell City Chamber of Commerce and on the staff of the Hudspeth County Herald.

Alma Hornsby was born Dec. 6, 1924, in Temple.
She had been a Fort Worth resident since 1951. She was the past president of Desk and Derrick Club, and a member since 1962. She was a member of the Fandango Dance Club. She was an ordained elder at Oak Hill Presbyterian Church.

He was a 51-year member of Electra Masonic Lodge 1067, a lifetime member of the Retired Officer Association and a member of Ridglea Country Club.

Preston Newsom was born May 10, 1925, in Parker County. He lived in Parker Country his entire life with the exception of three years he served in the Navy during World War II. He retired from General Dynamics Corporation after 36 years of service. Mr. Newsom and Dorothy Wright were married Nov. 24, 1945. He was a member of Oakridge Baptist Church. He was preceded in death by his parents, three brothers and three sisters.

FORT WORTH -- Helen Horton Radliff, 97, a retired 17-year U.S. government hospital supervisor in the Budget and Fiscal Department, died Friday, July 18, 1997, at a local hospital.

Mrs. Helen Radliff was born Aug. 16, 1899, in Fort Worth in a two-room log cabin that was at the present location of Forest Hill Drive and Forest Hill Circle. Her parents, John R. and Olive Horton, were pioneers in the area.
She had been a member of Forest Hill Presbyterian Church since 1911, being the oldest member at the time of her death, and was a member of the Eastern Star, Polytechnic Chapter 420.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 58 years, Sydney M. Radliff, in 1982.
Survivors: Nieces and nephews, Mary Helen Myatt, Lon and Virginia Stephenson, Darlene Myatt and Diane Modisett, close care-givers and several other nieces and nephews.
