Mr. Fawcus was born April 2, 1915, in Fort Worth.

Survivors: Wife of 26 years, Nell; son, Lyle Anderson of Richardson; sisters, Janice Walrode of Indiana, Polly Nash of Seguin; and two grandchildren.

Mattie L. Fleming
RIVER OAKS -- Mattie L. Fleming, 89, a retired silk finisher for a dry cleaner, died Friday, July 18, 1997, at a local hospital.

Funeral: 9:30 a.m. Monday at Greenwood Funeral Home. Committal service: 2 p.m. Monday in Riverside Cemetery in Byers.

Mattie L. Fleming was born May 21, 1908, in Byers.

She had been a Fort Worth area resident since 1944 and was a member of First Christian Church.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Steven, in 1968.

Survivors: Sons, Truman Fleming Houston, Ray Fleming of Fort Worth and Stanley Fleming; brother, Raymond Wilson of Bowie; sisters, Mildred Henderson of Lawton, Okla. and Doris Teakell of Wichita Falls; granddaughter, Holly Sonnier of Fort Worth; and great- grandchildren, Lauren Rhoten, Brandon Rhoten, Jamie Sonnier and Stanton Sonnier.

Roy S. Gabryl
FORT WORTH -- Roy S. Gabryl Jr., DDS, MAGD, 51, a retired Air Force lieutenant colonel, died Thursday, July 17, 1997, in Fort Worth.

Funeral: 10 a.m. Monday at St. Andrew Catholic Church. Burial: Moore Memorial Gardens. Prayer service: 4 p.m. Sunday at Moore Funeral Home in Arlington.

Memorials: Cancer Society or Community Hospice of Fort Worth.

Dr. Roy S. Gabryl was born at Kelly Air Force Base in San Antonio on Nov. 19, 1945. He was the beloved son of Betty Jean and Roy S. Gabryl Sr. of San Antonio. He passed away peacefully at home Thursday, July 17, 1997. He grew up in a military family and traveled extensively. He received his bachelor of science degree from The University of Texas at Austin, his doctor of dentistry from Georgetown University in Washington, D.C., and his master's degree from Webster University in St. Louis, Mo. He entered the Air Force as a commissioned office attaining the rank of lieutenant colonel at the time of his retirement. Dr. Gabryl was the national director for United Dental Care Inc. of Dallas at the time of his death. He was a member of the American Dental Association, the Academy of General Dentistry, National Association of Dental Plans, Provider Relations Commission; Academy of Managed Care Dentistry; and the American Association of Dental Consultants.

Ray touched many lives and will be missed greatly by all who knew and loved him.

Survivors: Wife, Betty Jo Gabryl of Fort Worth; daughter, Michelle Gabryl of Irving; son and daughter-in-law, Bobby and Bryanna Currie; and grandson, Bryan Currie of Euless; sister Belinda J. Gabryl and her husband, David Tanner of Massachusetts; and other family members include relatives in the Dallas- Fort Worth area.

FORT WORTH -- Ethel Glaze, 86, a homemaker, died Saturday, July 19, 1997, in Fort Worth.

Funeral: 2 p.m. Monday at Laurel Land Funeral Home of Fort Worth. Burial: Laurel Land Memorial Park.

Ethel Glaze was born March 23, 1911, in Swink, Okla. She was a Baptist.

She was preceded in death by two sons.

Survivors: Husband, B.F. Glaze; daughters, Norma Williams and Pat Stroud and husband, Bob, all of Fort Worth; brother, Jack Palmer of Dallas; nine grandchildren, eight great- grandchildren and one great-great- grandson.

MINERAL WELLS -- Robert Doyal Green, 75, a retired mechanic, died Friday, July 18, 1997, at a Mineral Wells nursing facility.

Funeral: 10 a.m. Monday at Baum- Carlock-Bumgardner Funeral Home. Burial: Woodland Park Cemetery in Mineral Wells.

Mr. Green was born April 12, 1922, in Eustace.

He was a member of the Calvary Baptist Church and a leader of the Boy Scouts. He was a member of the Odd Fellows and a Disabled American Veteran.

Survivors: Daughters, Sharon Tuggle, Patty Young and her husband, Dale; brother, Pete Green; four grandchildren; one great-grandchild; and several nieces and nephews.

MINERAL WELLS -- Laura Winona "Nona" Hagar, 81, a minister's wife, died Friday, July 18, 1997, in Mineral Wells.

Memorial service: 10:30 a.m. Monday at First Baptist Church in Mineral Wells.

Laura Hagar was born April 3, 1916, in Lemon Cove, Calif. She was a member of the Baptist Church.

Survivors: Husband, Bailey Hagar, Sr. of Mineral Wells; sons, Bailey L. Hagar Jr. of Exeter, Calif. and Gary Hagar of Union, Ky.; daughter, Dorothy Wallace of El Paso and Barbara Miller of Mineral Wells; brothers, Jim Diamond of California, Bill Diamond of Cottonwood, Ariz. and Kenneth Diamond of California; sister, Leora Blankenship of Empire, Calif.; 13 grandchildren, 14 great- grandchildren and two great-great- grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Betty June Collingsworth Hardin was born June 28, 1935, in Frederick, Okla.

She was raised a member of the Seventh-day Adventist Church and married Henry Hardin on June 30, 1966.

Survivors: Husband, Henry Hardin of Lewisville; daughters, Angela Suzette Hardin Perkins of Lewisville; adopted daughter, Courtney Lynn Hardin Hayes of Lewsiville; brothers, W.B. "Dub" Collingsworth of Lincoln, Neb. and Robert Collingsworth of Corpus Christi; grandchildren, Collin Lewis Perkins, Corbin Blake Perkins and Crysta Suzette Perkins, all of Lewisville; and uncle, R.L. He was a member of the Sheffield Masonic Lodge 625 AF & AM of Kansas City, Mo., Ancient Accepted Scottish Rite, Valley of Pittsburg, Pa., Moslah Temple and AAONMS of Fort Worth. He was also a member of Tuckahoe 163 Order of Eastern Star, which he was a Past Patron.

GRAY -- Rose Gwendolyn Hickman, 69, died Friday, July 18, 1997, at home after a lengthy illness.

Graveside service:1 p.m. Monday in Forest Park Cemetery in Shreveport, La.

Officiant: Rev. Canon Jane Alexander of St. Marks Cathedral Church in Shreveport. The family will receive visitors from 6-7 p.m. Sunday at McGuire Funeral Home in Vivian, La.

Pallbearers: will be her grandsons.

Rose Gwendolyn Hickman was born June 7, 1928, in Chopin, La., and she had been a resident of Gray for 15 years. She was an accomplished artist, ballroom dancer and avid fisherman. She was a member of the Episcopal church.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Ralph Hickman Jr.

Survivors: Daughters, Patricia Rainwater of Fort Worth, Gloria Elizabeth Laster and her husband, Jim of Grand Prairie; sister, Gloria Murray and her husband, Francis of San Antonio; one niece; one nephew; five grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.

William B. Hinds
FORT WORTH -- William B. Hinds, 83, a retired Air Force lieutenant colonel and director of defense personnel, died Monday, July 14, 1997, at a Fort Worth nursing home.

Funeral: Private. Entombment: Greenwood Mausoleum.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to the Alzheimer's Association of Fort Worth or the American Cancer Society.

Mr. Hinds was born Oct. 15, 1913, in Winfield, Kan.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Joan in 1991. He was a decorated career Air Force officer and World War II veteran who retired in 1961. He was personnel director for a division of Martin Marietta in Cleveland, Ohio until retirement in 1976, when he moved to Fort Worth. Mr. Hinds was active in many local civic activities including the Rotary, SCORE and the VFW. He was a member of the Ridglea Country Club and St. Bartholomews Catholic Church.

Survivors: Daughter, Deirdre and her husband, Reginald; and grandchild, Stuart.
