Helen Horton Radliff
FORT WORTH -- Helen Horton Radliff, 97, a retired 17-year U.S. government hospital supervisor in the Budget and Fiscal Department, died Friday, July 18, 1997, at a local hospital.
Funeral: 10 a.m. Monday at Forest Hill Presbyterian Church. The Rev. John Hare will officiate. Burial: Laurel Land Memorial Park.

Mrs. Helen Radliff was born Aug. 16, 1899, in Fort Worth in a two-room log cabin that was at the present location of Forest Hill Drive and Forest Hill Circle. Her parents, John R. and Olive Horton, were pioneers in the area.
She had been a member of Forest Hill Presbyterian Church since 1911, being the oldest member at the time of her death, and was a member of the Eastern Star, Polytechnic Chapter 420.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 58 years, Sydney M. Radliff, in 1982.
Survivors: Nieces and nephews, Mary Helen Myatt, Lon and Virginia Stephenson, Darlene Myatt and Diane Modisett, close care-givers and several other nieces and nephews.

FORT WORTH -- Jack Presley Roberts, 63, a retired post office clerk, died Friday, July 18, 1997, at a Fort Worth hospital.

Jack Presley Roberts was born April 4, 1934, in Ardmore, Okla. He was a member of the Masonic Lodge and the Shriners.
Mr. Roberts was preceded in death by his wife, Kathryn, in January 1997.

Oscar Sherwood was born Jan. 28, 1921, in Milbourne, Okla. He was a member of Hillcrest Church of Christ and the American Legion. He was a veteran of World War II.

Louis L. Spencer Sr. was born June 18, 1928, in Evergreen, La. He was a Marine Corps veteran. His career in auto sales spanned 40 years and he was awarded many top sales honors.
Mr. Spencer was a member of Holy Family Catholic Church. He was a loving father and husband with countless friends who will greatly miss his wit and humor.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Dean Spencer, in 1996.

FORT WORTH -- Harold A. Stone, 70, a retired employee of Butler Paper Company, died Thursday, July 17, 1997, at a local nursing center.

Harold Stone was born March 6, 1927, in Canton to the late Jake and Reba Cozby. After retirement, Mr. Stone became a gardener to many friends who spoke highly of him. Many of these said no one could manicure their yard as Harold could.
Survivors: Wife, Pauline Stone of Fort Worth; and many neighbors and friends. He will be missed by many.

Adele Williams was born Aug. 25, 1927, in Calvert and had lived in the area since 1963, moving from Dallas. She was a beautician for more than 10 years. She was a member of El Bethel Baptist Church.
Mrs. Williams was preceded in death by her husband, Louis Williams, in 1994.
Survivors: Son, James R. Dowell and his wife, Donita Dowell, of Fort Worth; sister, Fannie Roberts and her husband, Andrew Roberts, of Fort Worth; grandchild, Janice R. FORT WORTH -- Noel Ritchey Bailey, MD, 85, a retired obstetric and gynecological physician, died Friday, July 18, 1997, at a hospital.
Funeral: 4 p.m. Monday at First Presbyterian Church. Entombment: Greenwood Mausoleum. Visitation: Friends are invited to call at his late residence from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. Sunday.

Noel Ritchey Bailey was born July 4, 1912, on a farm near Peru, Ind.
He graduated from Indiana University with a BA in 1933 and an MD in 1937. He married Elaine Dewey in 1935. He completed his first year medical residency at the University of Texas Medical Center and his second year at Indiana University.
Dr. Bailey came to Fort Worth in 1941 where he was an OB/GYN for 30 years. He was a captain in the Army during World War II. He was active in ranching in Aledo and was a member of the Hereford Associations.
He married Kay Church in 1991 and was a 50-year member of First Presbyterian Church. He was an avid supporter and contributor to TCU and in 1994 was named an honorary alumnus. He served on the board of directors of National Farm Life Insurance Co. for 50 years and was on the staff at Harris Hospital.
Dr. Bailey was a member of the Tarrant County Medical Society, the Texas State Medical Society, the Southern Medical Society, Texas, the Association of OB/GYN and the American Medical Association.
Survivors: Wife, Kathryn Church Bailey; children, James Noel Bailey and his wife, Sandra, of Fort Worth, Barbara Bailey McNeal and her husband, J. Patrick, of Omaha, Neb., Dr. John Mark Church and his wife, Beverly, of New Orleans and Christopher J. Church and his wife, Joan Allen, of Arlington; ten grandchildren; and sister, Bernice LeMaster of Indianapolis.
