Margaret Ann Hudson Wesley was born Oct. 18, 1943, in Durant, Okla. She was married to Leon Wesley on June 1, 1963, in Canyon. She was a member of Southside Baptist Church, MENSA and National Management Association. Mrs. Wesley loved to paint and sculpt.
Survivors: Husband, Leon Wesley of Granbury; daughter, Donna Wesley of Arlington; parents, Mrs. and Mrs. W.E. Hudson of Canyon; brother, Jerry Hudson of Canyon; and 15 nieces and nephews.

FORT WORTH -- Ted Kennedy Whetstone, 61, a retired maintenance worker, died Thursday, July 10, 1997, at a Fort Worth hospital.

Mr. Whetstone was born July 27, 1935, in Naples, the son of Arthur and Louise Whetstone. He attended school in Naples and was a member of Unionville Baptist Church. He settled here in January 1997.

Velma Brundige Antwiler was born May 15, 1910, in Lillian to Neubern and Mary Montgomery, one of eight children and the only girl. She attended Hillsboro Junior College after graduating from high school.
Velma Antwiler was preceded in death by her brothers and on June 5, 1973, by her husband of almost 43 years, Avis M. Brundige.
She married Earl Antwiler on July 31, 1981, and they spent many happy times with their families and friends and working for the church together.
Survivors: Husband, Earl Antwiler; daughters, Mary Lou Johnson of North Richland Hills and Shirley Bastian of Pitman, N.J.; stepson, Lawrence Antwiler of Bedford; stepdaughter, Carolyn Pafford of Bedford; three grandsons, five stepgrandsons; three stepgranddaughters; four great-grandchildren; eight stepgreat-grandchildren; and many loving cousins, nieces and nephews.

Ruby Perry Boyd was born May 10, 1909, in Mansfield and was a lifelong resident of Tarrant County. She retired after more than 35 years as an operator with Perry Beauty Salon. Ruby Boyd was a member of College Avenue Baptist Church.
Mrs. Boyd was the widow of Ben Orr Boyd and was also preceded in death by her brother, Glen, and a sister, Hazel.
Survivors: Stepson, Ben W. Boyd and family; sister, Virginia L. San Miguel; nieces and nephews, Glen Perry Jr., Howard Perry and Gloria Ann Newquist; three great-nieces and nephews; and great-great-nieces and nephews.

Wilbur Henry Byrd
FORT WORTH -- Wilbur Henry Byrd, 83, who retired as a Fort Worth school district principal in 1981, died Thursday, July 10, 1997, at a Fort Worth hospital.

Wilbur Henry Byrd was born Nov. 4, 1913, in Gary, Ind. Wilbur "Stretch" Byrd grew up in Gary, Ind., and attended the public schools. A graduate of Wiley College in Marshall, he met his beloved Sybil Munchus there. After he earned his undergraduate degree in 1938, they married Feb. 17, 1940. The Byrds shared more than half a century of life until her death Dec. 4, 1990.
Mr. Byrd was a teacher and coach in the St. Paul school district, Hunt County, from 1939 to 1941; Galveston school district from 1942 to 1956; and Fort Worth school district from 1956 to 1961. He worked as an assistant principal for four years and as a principal from 1967 until his retirement in 1981.
Mr. Byrd was a member of St. Simon Episcopal Church, the Alpha Phi Alpha fraternity, the National Education Association and Texas State Teachers Association.
Survivors: Sons, Dr. W. Michael Byrd and his wife, Dr. Linda Clayton Byrd, of Boston, Mass.; brother, Nathaniel Reden of Milwaukee, Wis.; sisters, Naomi Dockins of Evanston, Ill., and Romayne Blakey of Gary, Ind.; grandchildren, Michael Charles Byrd, Miles Eugene Byrd and Edward Ellington Byrd; brother-in-law, George Murray Munchus Jr.; sister-in-law, Sybil Godbolt Muchus; and several generations of nephews, nieces, other family members and friends.

Jeannette F. Cone was born June 23, 1913. She was an Army nurse during World War II. She continued her nursing career until her retirement.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Richard L. Cone.

Genieve Denson
FORT WORTH -- Genieve Denson, 96, a kindergarten school operator and missionary, died Monday, July 14, 1997, at a Fort Worth hospital.
Funeral: 10 a.m. Friday at Greater Strangers Rest Missionary Baptist Church, 5705 Donnelly. Burial: Marlin Cemetery in Marlin. Visitation: noon to 5:30 p.m. the funeral home. Wake: 6:30 to 8 p.m. at the church.
Genieve Denson (Missionary R.T. Denson) was born Nov. 23, 1900, in Nacogdoches to the parentage of the late Mr. and Mrs. Bunch Hutcherson. In 1910, the family moved to Tyler, where she attended Jackson High School. She is last of the 13 children of her parents.
In 1917, she met and married Robert Thomas Denson of Marlin. This marriage lasted 51 years.
Genieve Denson had a long distinguished career as a Baptist minister's wife. In 1945, she opened her first kindergarten school at Salem Baptist Church in Dallas. In 1948 and 1949, she operated the kindergarten school at Como Community Center. She and her husband were founders of Friendship Missionary Baptist Church at 5525 Donnelly.
She was founder of the Interdenominational Missionary Society, founder of Ministers Wives Organization of Lake Como, Lake-Side Court No. 525 Heroines of Jericho and the Denson Palace No. 163 Juvenile Department of Heroines of Jericho. Her first book, `Are You Sure of Your Second Birth?,' was published in September 1979. Her lasting wish was that all be saved.
She was preceded in death by her husband, the late Rev. R.T. Denson.
Survivors: Nieces and nephews, including Leonard R. Thomas of Dallas; and a very dear friend, Mrs. Leonora Friend of Houston.
