Ellie Lucinda Self was born Dec. 15, 1896, in Dublin, Texas, to Louis Jacques Toler and Florence Isabell Lewis.
She was a member of the Harvey Baptist Church in Stephenville. She had also been a member of the First Baptist Church in Dublin for many years, where she was a member of the Hope Sunday school class and was director of the extention department. She was also a member of the Garden Club, Friendship Club, and the Bunyan Social Club. Upon the death of her husband, she operated the family business of Self Feed and Produce in Dublin. She moved from Dublin to Stephenville in 1984.
She was preceded in death by her husband on March 23, 1957, and one son, George Lewis Self, in 1986.
Survivors: Daughters and son-in-law, Lucretia and S.L. Trice, and Charlene Howell, all of Stephenville, Christine Clark of Bronte, and Patsy Rogers of San Angelo; sister, Myrtle Burdett of Stephenville; 12 grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren; and one great- great-grandson.

HURST -- Theal I. "Jack" Shadden, 71, a father, died Thursday, July 10, 1997, at a Fort Worth hospital.

Theal I. "Jack" Shadden was born March 30, 1926, in Eldorado, Kan.
He was a Merchant Marine veteran of World War II and moved to Hurst in 1955. He retired from General Dynamics after 42 years and was a Mason.
He was preceded in death by his former wife, Gay Nell Water Shadden, in November of 1975.

Jennie Orme Max Wright
STRAWN -- Jennie Orme Max Wright, 85, formerly of Flower Mound, passed away Thursday, July 10, 1997, at an Eastland nursing home.

Jennie Orme Max Wright was born Feb. 11, 1912, in Strawn, to James E. and Hattie (Tucker) Orme. She lived in Reno, Nev., working in several banks as a trust officer for several years. She later moved to Flower Mound for 17 years and worked as a secretary in an oil field office and in a funeral home, and moved to Strawn three years ago. She was a member of the First Christian Church.
Survivors: Brother-in-law, Ken Booth; two nieces, Jennie Lou Limon, Kendall Lee Wainscoat; 14 grandnieces and nephews; and five great- grandnieces and nephews.

Solomon Dood Audrey was born Jan. 6, 1918, in San Augustine, to Jimmy and Mattie Bryant Audrey. He grew up and attended school in Wales. He married Jewell Ferguson in 1945 and they settled in Fort Worth shortly thereafter.
S.D. retired from Santa Fe Railroad Company as a mailhandler, and later was a maintenance worker for Tarrant County Junior College. He was also a personal chauffeur for Mr. Simon Lane, until two years ago.
He was a member of Rising Star Baptist Church, the Emanuel Young Post of the American Legion and the National Association for the Advancement of Colored People.

John A. Barrett was born Feb. 24, 1915, in Palo Pinton County to Beulah Tibbs and John Andrew Barrett. He married Clara Opal Rexroat, Nov. 27, 1935, in Palo Pinto. He was an Air Force Veteran of World War II, a 32nd degree Mason and Past Master of Cooke Peavy Lodge No. 1162 A.F. and A.M. He was a Front End Technician for Charlie Hilliard Ford and worked for many Ford dealers. He was a member of Gambrell Street Baptist Church. He was preceded in death by two brothers, Emmett C. Barrett and Clem C. Barrett and two sisters, Josie Crain and Margaret Barrett. A special thanks to the 6th Harris Tower Staff at Harris Methodist Hospital.
