FORT WORTH -- Bertha Hannah Salsberg Harris, 77, a homemaker, died Friday morning, July 11, 1997, at home.

Bertha Salsberg Harris, a native and lifelong resident of Fort Worth, was preceded in death by her husband, retired Air Force Staff Sgt. Joe Harris, in 1988. She was the daughter of the late Morrie and Sadie Fox Salsberg. Mrs. Harris was a member of Beth-El Congregation.
Survivors: Son, Larry R. Harris of Fort Worth; brother-in-law, Melvin Caldwell of Lake Worth; and nephew, Rodney Caldwell.

Nels Kenneth Hogberg
BENBROOK -- Nels Kenneth Hogberg, 70, who was a retired Air Force master sergeant and a technical writer, died Friday, July 11, 1997, at home.
Funeral: 10 a.m. Monday at Laurel Land Funeral Home. Burial: Laurel Land Memorial Park. Visitation: 6 to 7:30 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home.

Mr. Hogberg was born Aug. 27, 1926, in Minneapolis, Minn.
His family moved to Laramie, Wyo., in 1929 where he spent many happy hours fly fishing in the trout streams. He moved to Benbrook following retirement from the Air Force in 1966.
Nels married Virginia Atkinson Hogberg on Oct. 4, 1953. They had three children who were his pride and joy. It gave him great pleasure to relate each of their individual accomplishments.
Nels worked for General Dynamics as a technical writer on the F-111 and F-16 following retirement from the Air Force. Subsequently, he worked as an editor, senior technical writer, USAF Validation and Coordination, instructor and technician. He wrote and edited manuals for numerous defense corporations including General Dynamics F-111, F-16, Boeings' B-1B Bomber, E-Systems' Air Force One, Sikorsky Helicopter and others. Nels worked for Northrup Corporation for four years in Saudi Arabia beginning in 1972. He instructed Royal Saudi Air Force Officers in F5B/E aircraft maintenance and Aircrew Ground Training.
Nels was a radio control airplane enthusiast which he shared with his children and built thousands of scale model airplanes for his children and grandchildren. He was a loving father, devoted husband, and friend.

Latham Howell was born Nov. 1, 1924, in Dublin, Texas. He married Fay Hensley on Feb. 21, 1946, in Hamilton. He was a member of First Baptist Church and the Coca-Cola Collectors Club.

Roger Jordan was born Aug. 18, 1935, in Waxahachie, to N.B. and Lucie Crawford Jordan Sr. He graduated from Waxahachie High School and Henderson Junior College. He served in the U.S. Air Force from 1955 to 1957.
He was employed with Lofland Steel Co. of Waxahachie as a salesman. He was an avid golfer and enjoyed baseball.
He was preceded in death by his parents, wife Sharon, brother Corky, sister Betty Sanders, and brother-in-law, J.L. Segars.

Oleta Kell was born Nov. 1, 1911, in Collinsville, Grayson County. She came to Fort Worth as a young lady and attended Fort Worth schools. She graduated from Central High School, now Paschal. She married Thomas Kell Jr. and in 1932 she and Mr. Kell started the Kell Cleaners with the initial investment of a $5 gold piece. She retired in 1978. Mrs. Kell was for many years a member of Handley Church of Christ and the Handley Chapter of the Order of the Eastern Star.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Thomas Kell Jr.
