Ernest Dennis was born Aug. 23, 1939, in National City, Calif. He was the fourth of five children born to Mr. and Mrs. W.H. Dennis. He came to Fort Worth with his family when he was three years old and has been a resident since. Ernest was deeply loved by his family and will be sorely missed.

ATLANTA, Ga. -- James E. Durham, 69, a retired district manager for Syntech Laboratories, died Sunday, June 22, 1997, in Atlanta.

James E. Durham was born Feb. 10, 1928, in Archer City, Texas.
He had resided in Atlanta since 1968 after he was promoted as district manager of Borden Pharmaceuticals. He was a graduate of North Side High School in Fort Worth and attended TCU. He was an active member of Zion Lutheran Church in Fort Worth and president of the congregation at the time of his transfer to Atlanta.

Edred Newton Everett
FORT WORTH -- Edred Newton Everett, 86, a retired USDA Soil Conservation Service engineer, died Tuesday, July 8, 1997, at a hospital in California.
Funeral: none planned. Burial: Greenwood Memorial Park.
Mr. Everett, a beloved father and grandfather and a resident of Fort Worth for 33 years, passed away July 8 after having had surgery on June 20. He was born to Louise Mayle and James Newton Everett on Aug. 3, 1910, in Pacific, Mo. He graduated from high school in Pacific before attending Central College and Missouri School of Mines, where he graduated with a civil engineering degree in 1933. He retired from the USDA Soil Conservation Service in 1977 after 42-plus years of service.
He was a member of Westminster Presbyterian Church and the American Society of Civil Engineers. He was a Texas-registered professional engineer.
Mr. Everett was preceded in death by his wife of 57-plus years, Mary, in 1995.

She was the widow of John Wilson Garnett Jr., M.D.
